But in case you want more details, I've had bad luck with plumbers. I get overcharged and jerked around... I called Harry because, well, he had one review on Yelp, and it wasn't a bad one and he isn't somebody I had called before. I don't think I was the nicest guy to him on the phone (not outright rude) but I did tell him I didn't really trust plumbers in the area based on my previous experiences. He told me his story, and it's basically that he worked for the big companies for years, knew their tactics, didn't like it, and wanted to do his job for an honest price. He went to my house and unclogged my kitchen sink. Guess what, when he called me to tell me how much it cost, it was in line with what he told me when I first called him. He didn't jack the price up on me, he didn't rip me off, he was honest. He fixed the problem, he charged me what he said he would charge, and there were no additional fees. Tonight I called him about another issue. Like I said, he's the first plumber that's gotten my repeat business and he will continue to get my business as long as I still own my house in Richmond, which I hope not to for much longer, and am planning on putting it on the market this spring, if anybody is interested... just kidding, sort of... no, not really, I am not kidding, I'm ready to sell it.
