    Customer service at check in was horrible. She was rude and obviously didn't want to be there. I was the only one in line. I went through Costco and she would not honor the price change as the date for reserving it was wrong. I had to go online cancel and rebook. Then she said I needed to wait an hour. She just needed to go home with that type of service! Why are you at WORK if you don't want to work!? Clearly management does not read or care of their reviews. The ladies at the car pick up were ok, the person who I returned my car to was the one who had the best service. The car upgrade was nice, giving. Service is everything right now. Car ran smooth and enjoyed driving it around. The prices they charge for a gas refill is outrageous so make sure to fill up before you drop off.

    People are standing waiting for rental cars because this location does not have vehicles and is understaffed. The wait times are 1-2 hours.

    My car reservation was set up for an 8:30am pick up. It's after 11:30am and our car is not ready. The staff has not been empathetic whatsoever. I know it's not the staff's fault but they do represent the company. Maybe Budget should stock their busy locations especially airports. I'm shocked and do not plan on using Budget in the future.

    On May 2,2025 the lady working the front desk in the morning was very rude and difficult. She needs to be retrained on customer service.

    Waited for a car for two hours booked months ahead was told one hour if you can't support the Reservations then don't book them

I remember I reserved it at $45 per day. Somehow it jumped to $75.75 per day. I asked the agent to check again. Another agent came to help and said the price was right. I asked is there any specials I could have. They said no. Then, when I got into the car. I found someone's rental receipt with $39.50 per day on it. Just few days apart. What happened? Oh well. My vacation time was more precious. So, I left. I don't think I'll rent from Hertz again.

So what was the point of the online check-in? We ended up doing the same work at the counter. Furthermore, the guy at the counter tried to downsize our car. We had reserved a Nissan Rogue. He was trying to downsize us to a Nissan Kick, a much smaller SUV, and saying he was going to be generous and not upcharge us. He should have been offering us a discount, or a bigger car! What a disappointment all around, but sadly this kind of service is par for the course for Hertz.

    Alamo at Richmond Int'l Airport, you really let me down! And cost me a $65 Uber Ride as well…read more We booked a car rental with Alamo. Our flight into Richmond Int'l Airport ended up being delayed several times. I called Alamo to make sure that we would still be able to get our car rental after we landed (because we would be landing after closing hour.) I called TWICE just to make sure and was reassured both times that Alamo's policy was to wait up till 2 hrs past closing for customers because they were aware of our flight delay. They told me on the phone that their agents at the airport would wait up to 2 hrs because they were aware of our flight number (on file). When we landed at 1am...we rushed to the counter...no one was there. We went to the outside parking garage...no one was there. I called Alamo again and they told me that the airport board showed our flight had landed at 9:20 pm (which is ridiculous) and the only way we would be able to get a car would be at 7am (when Alamo reopens). We ended up having to take an expensive Uber to our destination. No car to drive. Alamo basically lied to me several times on the phone...telling me someone would be available to help with car rental after hours, when no one was there. Why lie? They very specifically stated they would wait up to 2 hrs. I would give this location 0 stars if I could for being dishonest about policy.
