I drive a BMW. I stopped trusting them after they did a sloppy job on my alternator. I took it in to get it replaced, the next day I start having alternator issues. I take my car back to Buds, and the guy initially dismisses my car symptoms (trying to protect themselves of course). After they take a look - they tell me they forgot to plug something in. Really? But whatever they're cheap and the guy fixed it/did his job at no extra cost. Now, my BMW dealership is telling me my oil filter housing gasket is leaking - AGAIN - This was something this place had worked on a year ago. Extremely disappointed , dropped off my car on Saturday afternoon for oil change and a new tire, picked it up first thing monday morning and went on with my day , i never noticed i never got the tire put on, yes they charged me the tire and warranty but no new tire. My fluids weren't topped off, my tires werent rotated , thats all part of oil change right? now im wondering if the oil change was even done? This isnt what i expected when coming to Buds. Honest and willingly fixed a mistake made several years ago. This is a long story but I think it shows what a trustworthy business this place is. We bought a car from a friend over 4 years ago. It had a catalytic converter installed by Bud's right before we bought it. A shady smog place passed it before we bought it. Fast forward to December 2021 and we take it in for a smog test ourselves. It passed with flying colors but we were told it had a "wrong" cat installed. (I want to make it clear that I think deeming certain catalytic converters as "correct" when my car clearly is not spewing smog is just a huge scam run by the crappy state of California!) I am confident that installing the "wrong" cat by Bud's was a mistake and NOT deliberate. Bud's took responsibility for it and replaced it at their cost. They deserve your business. read more

Called in to make a tire rotation appointment a week in advance. Showed up on the appointment day and was greeted by new emoloyee, so we discuss business and he asks if I needed an oil change, I decline and say I had it done recently. Just for kicks I asked for a quote and he tells me 150'ish...Into the conversation he asks when I bought my tires, I answered with in the last two years and he goes on to mention that it would be 40 to rotate my tires. Goes on to say new company bought out old company 3 years ago, pulls up my service record clearly sees i have bought said tires in the time frame i mentioned and even tells me I had my tires rotated dang near 6 months ago. They won't honor the feee rotation. Top it off no one was there to even start my service even if I wanted to pay the 40 so I would have to leave it. This all gave me a headache and as I finish this review im about to rotate my tires myself. Ralph and Kent wouldn't have this. Good thing there is other places to buy tires from. I will not be going back. Truly disappointed and I have been going to buds for some time in the past. read more

Okay, so I recently noticed my VW Jetta overheating and the oil and coolant Trouble lights going on. My friend Stefan T. suggested I contact Bud's in M.V. - since he had such good luck with Bud's in Riverside. So I took my car explained my situation (I'm a Veteran on a very fixed income) and they were quick and responsive. They explained that my radiator had a leak and they had to replace it along with the accompanying hoses. Luckily, they were able to provide me some credit on the $1000 bill. Unfortunately, for me the same Trouble lights came on again. And again I contacted Bud's and they were great and asked me to bring the car in again. This time they replaced the cooling fan assembly. They also provided me credit on the $500 bill. Guess what happened? Exactly! My Trouble lights again.... I called and they had me bring it - at no charge. This time they had Carlos drop me off - and we chatted - and I kinda mentioned how I'm surprised they haven't checked the Sensor box to see if any fuses are blown. And he mentioned how he's an expert on VW's and he planned to find what the "real deal" on my car. Of course, there was no bill (it would have been the least amount). So I'm very happy both with my Car and my Carlos! I'm on the road again. Now, I just have to find a job. read more

This place is 50/50 depending on what you want done. The first time I went there because my friend recommended it and I left my car there all day to patch a tire. They closed the store and when I called and said they were closed, they said to pickup my car in the morning. Miscommunication on that service. Went to Buds Tire & Wheel, based off on 1 other review.. I needed an oil change. Also, asked if he would double check my front brakes.. Place has friendly staff and as a female, the guy (sorry, forgot his name) wasn't trying to tell me I had to replace this and that.. He just mentioned I should probably get my power steering fluid flushed because its dirty.. And I'm aware of it because my last mechanic told me.. All this time I was thinkin I had to get my front brakes replaced, he tells me "No, they're still good" YAY :) They offer coupons, so make sure you print it out and bring it with you.. Came in for an oil change and brake service on a Sunday morning. Rudolfo gave me a price for 31.99 for an oil change which included a tire rotation. After checking all of my brakes, my front rotors were bad. Rotors we're $100 plus $70 labor. Labor was kinda pricey but fair. Took awhile for the service but I had 4 vehicles in front of me and the rotors had to be delivered. Both Rudolfo and Brian were very helpful. Overall, I enjoyed there service and I will be coming back. I would recommend them to others. read more

Along with the other reviewers, the staff is definitely friendly. However, on my first visit, I needed to buy tires and an alignment (let's also keep in mind I drive a BMW 3 series). I wanted Pirelli tires, which are top of the line performance tires and by no means cheap. They quoted me at $600 for 1 tire, which was fine. While there, I find they only cost $257 per tire. When I confront them, they said they would honor the $257 so I end up buying 2. But after I buy the tires, they want to charge me more for an alignment. I was very angry that day and decided it would be best to just leave. I ended up coming back for an alignment a a month or so later (September 2013), and at that point, I didn't have any issues. However, they recommended I get my lower control arm replaced in order to fix the toe on the car. I also had 6 months to get it replaced, since the alignment came with a 6 month warranty. Today, December 16, 2013, with the lower control arm replaced I come back to get my alignment. And apparently, I voided my warranty because even though I got it replaced, they didn't replace it. Which means... (You guessed it) I have to pay for an alignment all over again. $75 to be exact. The price isn't the issue, it's their business practices and they have forever lost my business. *Recommendation: Go to pep boys! I now get all my work done there. The staff is friendly, the work is always satisfactory, and they offer a credit card (I was approved for $2500 same day and used that to pay for my service). Also their credit card works at Mobil gas stations. read more

Went in for an alignment. I was told my front right shock was blown. It was recommended that all four struts be replaced for a cost of $990 . In addition, I was told that a new alignment was necessary if new struts were put in. I declined service to go see my regular mechanic to get his professional opinion. My mechanic said three things after examining my vehicle: 1. I don't need new struts 2. For my particular car, an alignment is not necessary after putting in new struts. Some, but not all, cars need an alignment after installing new struts. 3. If I do decide to get new struts in the future, just replace the front two, not all four . read more

I had them look at my 2007 charger that's been overheating and out of service for a while I've taken it to other shops in Moreno Valley and they gave me the run around saying I blew a head gasket which I knew I didn't because my engine was brand new but when it's went to buds tires they were truthful & found it was just a simple thermostat issue that was fixed in no time they didn't try to sell me or say my vehicle needed anything else just recommended what would be due for a change in the future ... Dropped off my car on Friday night right before closing. Needed a diagnostic done to see why it wanted to stall out. They said they will call me when they find out something for the next day. Saturday came no phone call. Went down there around 12:30. Car is in one the stalls. Went inside they said they were down one tech. (Someone call off understandable). They will get to my car soon and give me a call. (No phone call, closed at 4:30). Now it's Sunday! Still no phone call. They close at 3. So I go down there around 2:30. My car was parked outside. I go inside asked what is going on with my car. The guy behind the counter checked and said he doesn't know. I asked him if they even checked my car. He said he'll go find out. Still no answer. Basically they didn't do the diagnostic. Was pissed! Got my car back. Went to another shop on Monday! Did a diagnostic and found out it was a vacuum leak. That only took 3hrs to solve and fix. My tire had went flat on the freeway on my way to work and this shop was right across the street from my job so I took it and everyone seemed kinda of disgusted by my presence me being a gay male! So after "inspecting" my tire the older gentleman came back to me and said my tire was missing a chunk out of it and they did not have my size n they can't do anything so they left me kinda on my own with a flat tire ! Sooo I took it to two other tire shops after and for some reason the first shop didn't have my size but they asked me are you sure it's messed up we inspected it and it seems ok and me believing buds tire shop I took it to one more shop n they inspected it again and they also said no chunk is missing the tire just slipped cause it had been raining and that it's still in good condition n safe so I put it back on and been riding on it ever since .... so you tell me if they are trynna discriminate against people they feel uncomfortable around read more
