The one they had left looked good, but it wasn't exactly what I had my heart set on. However, they had a specialty drink that satisfied my need for chocolate to the best of its ability. I ordered the tiramisu drink, and it was heavenly. It was truly what I needed to help me through the rest of the day. The location itself is absolutely wonderful. Sitting right in the middle of the Three Cities Social fifth-floor space, it feels like a little treat within a treat. Grab your drink or pastry, find a place to sit, and enjoy the atmosphere. I can't wait to go back, preferably a little earlier next time so I can finally get my hands on those pastries.

It tasted almost like an espresso martini without the alcohol. The coffee flavor was super strong and bitter, but I did really like the salted foam. Still couldn't finish it. The Ube Latte + Phin Brew (4/10) tasted pretty watered down with barely any coffee flavor. The ube was also very light, so I didn't end up finishing this one either. The Milk Tea with Boba (8/10) was actually my favorite. It tasted more like jasmine or green tea, which I loved because of the floral notes. Just note that the "boba" was crystal jelly rather than traditional tapioca pearls. The OG Banh Mi (4/10) had great toppings, but the bread was pretty dry and didn't seem toasted. I also wished they had some kind of creamy sauce to bring everything together. Overall, pretty disappointing for all the good things I've heard about this spot.

I know to ask for another milk now, but they always spend the time telling me almond milk is what they normally use and ask if that's okay. To clarify, they don't tell you it's almond milk UNLESS you ask for another milk. Then they ask if they can just use almond milk instead of what you ordered. I can't figure out why a shop would use a very common allergen milk automatically in a drink that almost always defaults to dairy milk. But then I saw that they make their matcha in a blender bottle lol. So it's probably because dairy milk foams up when you aggressively shake it like that. Efficiency, I guess? That also means the matcha is really grainy. I've heard bad things about their other teas too. I guess it's just one of those shops that wants you to suffer if you don't drink coffee. That's the vibe it gives anyway. My wife says the coffee is top notch. It's super quiet in there. So if you want to chat over a tasty tea, you're gonna have a bad time. But if you want to quietly work or study in hardback chairs and drink good coffee, it's a dream come true.

When we arrived, their full display of beautiful pastries were available, and we opted for the ube crinkle cookie, gulab jamun tiramisu, and ensaimada donut. The cookie was chewy with a nice slightly crisp outside, the cream cheese filling added some richness and creaminess but was quite off to the side so that some bites had a lot of it and some bites none. The ensaimada donut was fluffy with a light rich whipped cheesy creamy filling, topped with a nice layer of shredded cheese that balanced the line well between sweet and a bit of savory. The gulab jamun tiramisu was an interesting but well done mix between gulab jamun (in Indian dessert of fried milk/cheese ball soaked in syrup) in the center with layers of soft sponge cake soaked in rose cardamom syrup, with a creamy whipped frosting and pistachios on top. Overall, while some of the treats were better than others, Sarima really delivers on the combination of Indian-Filipino flavors, and I look forward to coming back to try some of otheir other creative options.

The matcha on its own was unsweetened and a little week, but mixing everything together had balanced it all out for a yum drink. My girlfriend got the Salted Maple Latte for her fun drink. A nice sweet espresso that I can't comment too much on, but still a great thing to sip on. We shared a Mango Float Cookie and I thought it was such a fun take on the dessert. I really loved the cookie and the graham flavor with the frosting, but the mango drizzle felt too tart for how a mango float is... still great and would get again Overall I was happy with this visit! The employees were nice and efficient with getting my order. I went with the Matcha Cloud, which is basically a frozen matcha with cold foam. Unfortunately, I didn't like my drink as much as I wanted to. I felt like the iciness made the cream feel oily, and the crunchy texture was odd. The matcha taste was also not very strong, and it was very sweet. I ended up tossing out most of my drink. I think the cafe itself is great, but I definitely would want to try something else in the future. Definitely still recommend checking them out though!
