02/10/26 - Tous Les Jours @ 1431 W Taylor Street good bakery items but a limited selection compared to other Tous Les Jours Ive been to. This store is super clean w/the pastries displayed in plexiglass cubicles. The same set up w/a tray, paper on the tray & tongs to select the pastries. Like all the Tous Les Jours I have been to they have very good pastries. The only difference is because the size of the store I felt like the selection options was limited. Got one of my usual pastries, guava danish, and it was consistent. Mango cream donut was nice - pillowy soft and not too sweet. No issues with service. Decent amount of seating inside. read more

Had the macaroons (coffee, caramel, creme brulee) and a slice of the strawberry cake, it was all delicious. Also ordered a cappuccino and a tiramisu latte cold brew, the tiramisu was my favorite. Tucked away in the little italy neighborhood is where we found this gem. I would definitely go back. We also purchased danishes and bread to go. The location is beautiful which I why the building caught my attention. Nestle next to a Taco Bell but not a traditional building. This location on Taylor definitely fit the neighborhood, it's upscale, clean and a vibe. They have great signage for this first time visitor. I wasn't sure what to do with my tray and tong but after further inspection instruction was posted. This place just recently opened and it's so cute. Right near UIC and the Illinois medical district. This is a great place to study or just grab some pastries. They have so many options to choose from and it's made fresh daily. The service was good and if you decide to stay and eat they even heat up some things for you as well. I'm so glad this location of Tous Les Jours opened here! They offer lots of different pastries and drinks including a Honey Lavender Latte that was really yummy and about $5.50. They have non-dairy milk substitutes of almond and soy milk. I tried their Yuzu Pie which was a perfect subtle sweetness and definitely will be trying all of their other pastries with time! They opened on Friday, September 20th even though the official Tous Les Jours website isn't updated with their opening. There are so many tables available throughout this location, and each table had at least one outlet, making it a great place to work from home or do schoolwork for the students that live nearby. Currently, they are doing a grand opening promotion where you can get a free mug if you spend more than $30+ which personally I don't think is a very great promotion. read more

I have been to almost the other Tous Les Jours locations in Illinois so have had exposure to the brand already. I have also been to this location a few times since it opened. While every pastry I have tried here has been great, the selection is pretty bare by 2:30 PM on a weekday. Today it was pretty bare by 11:30 AM when I came in. I'm used to seeing a more stocked location. Service is pretty quick with the exception of when they have new people at the register/counter. As far as the ambiance, you can usually find a table/seat. It's usually clean. The WiFi is really only accessible closer to the register. Food for thought in case you are looking to work here. read more

The only reason I'm giving this location 5 stars is because I've visited this location many times before and it was on POINT. Fully stocked pastries and options, great customer service and HOT tea!!! My visit today Saturday 2/28 @3pm CST was VERY disappointing not only for me. Let's get into it. I was second in line I paid for my croissants and stepped aside while I waited for my Honey Lavender Matcha. The 2 girls in front of me was also waiting. One left she too ordered the same tea. The second girl in front of me was checking her order and noticed (2) Honey Lavender Matcha (cold) on the screen and they removed it. Gave her her order and she left. I'm still standing and waiting and the girl with the duplicate tea on her order returns and says you didn't give me my tea. My drink is finished and my matcha cup is not hot. I take a sip and it's tasteless and luke warm. I didn't feel like more waiting I left and heated it up at home. These two cashiers need more coaching on QA quality assurance is important when it's not included it causes customer service to drop quite a bit. I know this was a one off bad experience which is why I'm rating this place 5. However if it was my first time visiting this franchise they would've gotten a 2 out of 5. Cute bakery shop with room for you to sit and do work! I love the openness and light airy aesthetic once you walk in. Thankfully they had online orders to place cakes, so I ordered ahead of time to for the Strawberry Cake to serve a part of 8-10. There are plenty of bakery goodies and desserts to choose from along with a selection of coffees. We loved our strawberry cake to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday! The cake was light on the frosting and the cake was soft on the inside. I always also love that they supply you with candles and a cake cutter, it's a great touch! read more

I have now been to this location twice since it's grand opening. Both times everything was really good. This last time the selection was down to bare bones but it was 4pm on a Friday so I wasn't expecting too much. Everyone is always very kind and the drinks come out relatively quickly. The location itself has nice seating areas and I can see this being a cute place to meet up for a quick coffee and treat. All the pastries so far have been delicious and I bought a variety for everyone at work to taste test. Five stars all around. read more

Got sick along with my Granddaughter after trying the Orange cream cake. Stomach is hurting, and we feel nauseated as well as an upset churning tummy. So disappointed even when I called in my concerns, the employee stated she did not know the Manager's name. I asked who hired her and she stated, "Olivia, who is the manager. " I am disgusted by this one product. I purchased breads and am queasy about making sandwiches for my husband because it's from this Taylor location in Chicago. I ordered a birthday cake here and was blown away by the result. It was beautifully decorated, moist inside, and not overly sweet -just perfect. Everyone at the party loved it, and several people asked where it was from. You can tell the bakers put a lot of care into their work. read more

The bakery itself was clean and tidy with plenty of sunlight. Quite cozy for sitting with a bit of work or enjoying a quick coffee and pastry with a friend, though I wouldn't recommend for a larger group. Bella, the young woman who waited on me, was very friendly and made a few suggestions which were spot on! She was very helpful, making the entire experience very pleasant. This bakery is clean, modern and cozy. They have a good variety of pastries and breads. They also have very good drinks. I tried Tiramisu latte and honey lavender matcha latte they both delicious. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Will try their cakes next time read more

I live in the neighborhood so it's hard not to come every week for pastries and an iced coffee. Honestly their coffee is some of the best in the city imo. I love the tiramisu latte!
