The ipsento latte definitely lived up to the hype! The coconut had a nice amount of richness and the cayenne was a good kick without being too overpowering. The interior was also spacious with a good amount of seating. The service was a little slow, I think they only had 2-3 baristas working and it was taking a while for them to take orders, but the main reason it's not 5 stars is the pricing is a bit expensive for me, almost $10 for an 8oz with oat milk after tax and tip. However, my friend loved her cappuccino and thought it was 100% worth it, so this is definitely just my opinion. read more

First time trying ipsento - staff are so nice and great at recommendations. They don't have the cardamom rose latte right now, so I got the ipsento latte with oat milk iced instead and it was perfectly not sweet with the right kick of caffeine I needed the morning. Was wanting to try Ipsento before the farmers market from a friends recommendation and sure glad we did. Greeted by the very friendly staff and had our order ready within minutes. I ordered an iced coffee since there is no cold brew but believe me it still delivers a full body cold brew taste. And don't worry the ice doesn't dilute it either. They also have a day old section which I picked up for work this morning and that cinnamon scone hits. Every light and airy bite had a cinnamon punch. Still waiting to take down the almond croissant but there are also many fresh ready to make options and refrigerated sandwiches too! I loved the ambient music as well -nothing jolting or loud. I came on an early Sunday morning so the cafe was empty. They offer lots of baked goods and some sandwiches. I like a strong latte so I ordered the 8oz oat milk latte which comes with 2 shots. The service was good; the barista recommended the oat milk over the almond due to it foaming better. The oat milk really did not foam well as it just left bubbles on the top and the latte was heavy and I could barely taste the coffee. I'm not sure if the espresso is not strong enough or the mug was larger than 8oz. It left a lot to desire. With tip it was about $7.65. read more

Yes, absolutely. In the search to find a nice coffee shop that meets all my needs: light food, great coffee, ample seating, nice staff, and JUMPIN' WiFi: Ipsento hits the mark. It's quite enough yet busy Enough and has generous seating. My first time in I went with my go to's: ham & cheese croissant and a cappuccino... both delicious. The coffee had depth. I managed to get a seat right by the window. Table was clean and seat was comfy. I love the option of getting my coffee in a mug... some coffee shops are getting away from this... I find it very charming. Parking may be a bit of a struggle but it's in walking distance from my house and right off the 606. I will definitely be back. read more

The space is nice and well located- very conveniently located on the trail. The drinks are decent, but I will not be returning after the service I received today. I asked a question about a drink and the person ringing me up was borderline rude and not helpful. He then proceeded to snark to his coworkers about my question within earshot. Our exchange lasted less than two minutes so I was not holding up the line and taking up his time (there was no one behind me). Absolutely love the spot and the coffee and food. Perfect for walking from 606 and even sitting outside if its nice outside. My only complaint is the music. Its completely horrible and LOUD on the speakers. Have been multiple times and it was equally as bad both times. Couldn't hold a conversation without getting distracted from the loud techno nyan cat like music. 1 of my coworkers invited me to Ipsento 606, and I've been hooked ever since! I LOVE the Ipsento Latte. It's a beautiful combination of sweet and heat. The blend of coconut milk, honey, and cayenne is incredibly unique but very flavorful. The cayenne gives a kick, but it's not overbearing. I actually enjoy a little extra cayenne in mine. I've also purchased coffee beans from them before. I kept half the bag and gave the rest to my Dad, and he enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The vibe is very chill, but can sometimes be active and crowded. That's simply because it's a great place to meet up with friends or post up and get some work done. The only thing that keeps me from visiting more is the parking. Sometimes it's difficult to find a spot, but don't let that deter you from stopping in. It was okay. Just okay. I stopped in on Sunday morning when I was in the neighborhood, and it wasn't very busy at the time (good for me since I was headed to an appointment and I have a genetic predisposition to be late, even when I build in extra time). The woman who took my order seemed indifferent at best; like she as simply annoyed at having to help. I understand working sucks and I'd like to win the lottery so my time can be my own too, but I don't take it out on others. Since I don't drink coffee, chai is generally my go-to order at a coffee shop. They have a house chai and a "regular" (for lack of a better term) chai, and I wanted to try the house blend, of course. It was ok, but nothing to write home about nor to visit here again to order. It was less sweet than chai can often be (which isn't a bad thing; sometimes chai is just cloyingly sweet). But surprisingly, it seems to lack much flavor. I missed out on the kouign-amann (unless they didn't have them in the pastry case), so I just had the tea. The inside is pretty large. They have counter seating in addition to the tables, and the counter has some garage door-style windows to open it up to the outside when the weather is nice (it's right next to Park 567, which I've also reviewed). It's also at the entrance to the 606 trail, and that in particular makes it pretty handy. There's some street parking which you can pay for at the machine or using the ParkChicago app. read more

Well worth the wait! Whenever we are in Chicago we like to stay in Bucktown and this is our favorite coffee shop to visit.
