    Tanguito burger

Tanguito is an Argentinian permanent food truck in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Tanguito burger: B- Burger was okay. It was pretty juicy and the patty has some different seasoning. I liked the topping of mushroom and onions, plus cheese and bacon. The beef patty could have used a little more salt. Beef empanada: B+ This empanada was pretty good. There are good sized chunks of beef plus onions and peppers. Loads of flavor. The crust is buttery and holds up really well. The chimichiri adds some nice flavor. I was able to dine here with my dog, and they kindly gave him a bowl of ice water.

SO SO YUMMY! if you do anything in SF stop by and try the milanesa or the burger, I came here in 2023 and for 2 yrs we have been raving about this place and how excited we were to come back !! Such good service, the sitting area is so cute, 10/10!!!

Bay Area native and hadn't heard of this place until my partner and I decided to spend an afternoon hunting for the city's best empanada. We found it here! The chicken empanada was the day's winner by miles. Went back a second time because a friend recommended the burger. It was good; a thick and flavorful patty at a great price. The dude with the glasses who was attending to us (maybe he's the owner?) was super nice and threw in two free orders of fries for us. Really not in this area very often (touristy Fisherman's Wharf) but would def go out of my way to support this business and grab burgers and empanadas again.

Very simple food truck with simple sitting area, no frills, order at the truck and they bring it out to you. Offers tasty meat plates from Argentina. The steaks are so great for the price. Burger is huge! Service is simple.

The food was so flavorful! I ordered the steak with rice. The steak was cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of fat! The rice was seasoned very well. My husband got the chicken sandwich & garlic fries. Hands down one of the best and crispiest garlic fries. I honestly thought this was just going to be another over rated touristy restaurant but it has great reviews for a reason! I only got a chance to take a photo of my steak

Found this place by chance. Grouped among other pop-up meal trucks. Provides outdoor seating at sidewalk and small covered patio shared with other vendors. All the sandwiches and plated meals are photographed on a poster. All look delicious and tempting but the burger caught my attention maybe because I've been craving for a juicy burger all weekend. I took it to go and ate it back at hotel. Was so excited to taste it since the entire walk back smelled so delicious especially the last minute order of garlic fries. Garlic fries and regular fries was surprisingly the same price at $6. Plenty to be shared. The burger was not to disappoint. Was much more than what I expected; extra large everything including the messy juices that ooozed out at every bite. One of my best burgers I have eaten! Definitely would love to come back and try others items in menu choices! Don't pass up this place whenever craving for a great juicy delicious burger! Service by friendly Chef was very pleasant.

Super late service and pricey. It was unusually a hot day so maybe thats why but the person who takes our order was unfriendly. Had to wait for about 20minutes for our fries to come out and additional 10minutes for our orders to come out. Also super pricey for a food truck (two entrees and one fries came our almost 60bucks). The food was decent but not mind blowing. If service was faster, friendly and if price was more decent would've been 4/5

As someone who loves Argentinian food and frequents them a lot, this is the best steak sandwich I've ever had! My wife got their steak and rice and she was also really impressed. The steak they use is high quality and they do not skimp with portions. The service is also amazing. This place is a gem!

Tanguito burger with bacon, mozzarella cheese, grilled red bell peppers, caramelized onions and mushrooms. In the back, steak French fries.

First time ever and will definitely return. Though the staff does not go out of their way to be friendly (hence 4 stars), the Tanguito burger and fries I tried were perfect. The portions blew my mind! Don't expect a fancy place; not at all! This place is a rundown food truck at a very touristic location. It's definitely for the people on the go who want good but affordable food. I paid $21 USD but again the quality and portion were decent.

Thank You, Yelpers, you lead me to Tanguito Argentinean Grill (... and this is why I use Yelp, for recommendations like this.) It's in Fisherman's Wharf, but not seafood focused, and is delicious, affordable, authentic Argentine cooking. The entire menu looks awesome, but I can never get past the empanadas - oh so good. Ham & Cheese, Beef, and Chicken are my personal favorites. When you go, ask for the owner, Steven / Esteban. He is the real deal, as is his grill. OBTW, Tanguito means "little tango," like the Argentine dance. Tanguito Argentinean Grill: Five-Stars, deserves 10.

Cutest little place with an amazing seating area! We had the chicken empanadas for a snack after a long day of traveling and they hit the spot. We asked for extra chimichurri because it was that good. Please bring this to the east coast!

I saw this on Check Please a LONG time ago. and granted - all we got here was a snack - a ham and cheese empanada. It was fine, nothing special... Service is gruff, they refused to throw away our extra cup (not from them) - I guess I get it, but it wasn't like we handed them a bunch of stuff to throw away (and we were paying customers).

I've been wanting to come here for awhile and when my Argentinian friend wanted to go, I knew she was the best person to go with to see how authentic this place was. Long story short, she was so happy that it reminded her of home! My favorite thing here was easily the empanadas. Of all the empanadas I've eaten in the Bay Area, this is easily one of the best I've had. They were freshly baked and packed with a ton of ham and cheese. If you come for one thing here, definitely don't miss out on the their empanadas! They are pretty big, so if you are eating your way around the area with a friend, one is plenty to split. We also ordered the milanesa. I thought this one was a little lacking in flavor and was leaning towards the dry side. The portion size was enormous! You got two giant pieces of milanesa, and again, one order split between two people is perfect. We ordered a side of the saffron rice, which was super unique in flavor. If you like your fries salty and crispy, they do them pretty well here too. We came during the lunch rush, and the wait time was around 30-40 minutes. It's a 3 man team working in the kitchen, and they were working hard to get the food out, so I didn't mind the wait. They were nice enough to check up on us and apologized for the longer than usual wait time. Overall, not a bad spot to grab an empanada, and I look forward to trying out some of their other popular menu items!

Excellent main course food, friendly people, normal price for the area. Don't get the fries though, very disappointing. Like Pringle fries.

Because despite a few non-ideal circumstances, it was very worth the visit…read more --- --- --- After eating lunch nearby, I had one final stop to make here for coffee and dessert, before I headed to SFO. The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past. My wife is fortunate that I have the amount of integrity that I do because I am sitting on the plane as I write this and I could easily inhale that 2nd pastry with her being none the wiser. If you're reading this, wife, remember that you hit the spousal lottery.

The hand cut beef was the best version of traditional Argentinian empanadas I've had. The dulce de leche banana was very sweet if you are into it. The caramel within was a very generous portion.
