They've become my go to spot for Keeping Traditions pierogies, as well as for many of my other favorite local brands. This place is new on Bailey near Whole Foods. It sells only things made in Buffalo. specialty products made in Buffalo. It started as kissed by the sun spice company and it's expanded as far as I can figure out. Kissed by the Sun spice Blue Table Yankees fancy Babcias Pierogi What's poppin popcorn And so much more. Wow what a great solution to the end of the farmers market season!!! If they don't already have your favorite local Artisans products, they are in the process of getting them. One of the things I wanted to try , dill pickle popcorn, was sold out, which is really a good sign for the artisans and the shop! But I discovered other things that I wasn't expecting!!! Peanut butter sponge candy..... yup yup ... go back and read that again!!! Za'atar and thyme pita chips!!!! Birthday cake popcorn!!! Horseradish and caraway mustard ( to go with the big soft pretzel I bought at Whole Foods across the parking lot)!! Orange blossom honey!! Hazelet chocolate bar.... no picture cause it was my breakfast !! I'm a grown up and if I want to eat a chocolate bar for breakfast, well it's really one of the few perks of being grown up. I'm only sayin it's not all it's cracked up to be, not the candy bar because that was delicious, but being grown up. Alright I went off on a tangent. Great little store that specializes in products from all over Western New York. It's nice seeing that Kissed By the Sun recognized that promoting other local products is a win win for all. They're even going to have other local vendors outside during the upcoming weekends. The store is small and my only issue was the amount of people inside the store all at the same time. There were only 2 people when we entered and at least 12-15 when we left. Social distancing should be enforced. We picked up a couple items and will be back to check out the store again. read more

Stopped by the Buffalo Artisan Food Traders to celebrate Small Business Saturday. Since the start of the pandemic I have been truly trying to support small/local business more and upon hearing about this place opening I was excited to hear about the ability to find so many local favorites all in one place. Situated in what for now may be called the Whole Foods Plaza you'll find this shop behind the bank branch and across from the old movie theater. The shop is not very big however they where handling all COVID protocols, requiring face masks, requesting social distancing and limiting customer size while in the store. Inside you will find a variety of local favorites such as Blue Table Chocolates, Deb's Delights, the Bloom and Rose and more. To me this feels like one part farmer's market and one part Broadway Market and I love it. Although this location is not big be sure to look around every corner and on every shelf, everything is arranged very well however each shelf, each space has something different on it. I found an olive oil I recently saw while at the Kenmore Farmer's Market, a variety of spices and seasoning, Italian cookies, cheeses, CBD, and more than I can remember right now. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are a true blue fan of WNY and the tasty products our hometown produces. read more

I'll start by saying this, even though you can find similar items at stores such as. Trader Joe's, Whole foods, and even the organic/specialty section of Wegmans. Buffalo Artisan's items are all locally sourced. For being such a small store, every bit of the store, is full of great food items. We saw the announcement of this shop opening a little while ago and looked for it when driving down Baily, but did not see it. Recently there was a sign, pointing us towards Whole Foods. It is a very small place with a lot of local merchandise. A lot of different businesses are represented, most of the time there is just a limited number of their assortment. It is a very nice initiative. It makes it a lot easier to buy from local vendors without traveling all over Buffalo. Local vendors I saw are M&M pickles, Pickle Annie, Bloom and Rose, Parkside Candy, Paula's Pierogies, Yancey Fancy cheese and many more. After seeing an ad on Instagram for the last "Shop Local Saturdays & Holiday Pop Up Markets" at Buffalo Artisan Food Traders, I decided my mom and I should stop on by. I always work early Saturday mornings, but this week I was working later in the day, so it was meant to be. There were 10-15 socially distanced vendors outside, and the store was open during the pop-up market. We stopped in the store first because they were limiting the amount of people due to COVID regulations. The shop itself is quite small, but everyone was doing their best to give each other space. There are so many local vendors with a variety of unique products. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of vegan products for sale. I found a vegan chocolate bar (Dark Forest Chocolates), veggie burgers (GoVeggies), and a protein bar (The Blend Bar), but there was also biscotti, spices, condiments, etc. that were vegan friendly. My mom also picked a candy bar for herself by the Sweet Whisk, and some Babicia's Pierogis. We love to shop local as often as we can, so it felt good to spend our money where in matters. You can also order online and they offer free local delivery of orders of $75+ within a 15 mile radius of the store. Many of the outdoor vendors were the same as what was in the store, but there were a few different ones as well. It was cold so we briefly checked out all their tents before heading back to the car. We look forward to coming back and seeing what new products they bring in. read more

This store was tricky for us to find because our GPS was off.  If you have trouble locating it, just go to Whole Foods and if you are facing the grocery store, the Buffalo Artisan Food Traders will be to your left, walking distance from the grocery store. You can also call the store and they will gladly give you directions. (I did this and they were so friendly on the phone). This place was loaded with lots of my favorite locally made foods - knishes from Bloom & Rose, M&M pickles, and cheese curds.  It basically is a spot where you can find a great majority of your favorites from farmers markets in the area.  I also suggest coming here if you are looking for gifts for those who are hard to buy for. Tip: You can place your order online and pickup.  We did this, but didn't get to the store until a few days later and it was not a problem. I've been eyeing up Buffalo Artisan Food Traders reviews since they opened last year. We finally made it in to check the place out last weekend. We attended their outdoor fresh-air Valentine's Day Market event. First off, what a great idea for an event! We're Buffalonians! We can handle shopping outside in 17-degree weather! It was lovely! Very refreshing! Especially during a pandemic, when outdoor gatherings are far preferred. The market was spaced out and well organized, with about a dozen vendor booths. Plus ALPACAS! :-D We strolled the market, thinking we'll try a little something from a booth or two this time around. Welp, NOPE! We made purchases from EIGHT BOOTHS! :-D It was a sensational smorgasbord of local fare: M&M Pickles, Cuccidati Inc., Blue Eyed Baker, Moneybags Dumplings, Go Veggies, Spoonfuls Nut Butters, Twisted Vine Gardens, and a local jewelry maker. Glad the hubbs was buying! :-D All of these lovely local shops are for sale inside of the Buffalo Artisan Food Traders shop itself. We went into the store to do a loop, and came out of there with a local jelly too, haha. What an adorbs shop! You'll find all-things-Buffalo-foods in here. From baked goods, to pastas, to condiments, to sauces, to cheeses, to meats, to candy and chocolates, to some gift items, and more! This is quite small market somewhat hidden on Bailey Ave., near Whole Foods on Sheridan Drive. The address is Bailey, but the storefront faces Whole Foods. We checked google maps to locate it. It is a shop filled with locally made products. There are goods from approximately 30 different companies. Annie, the pickle lady, has only a variety of pickle juices displayed here. When we first met her at the N.Tona. Farmers' Market she also had refrigerated homemade pickles to sell. There is only one small shelf of her pickle juice here. The Bloom and Rose offerings are limited to 4 or 5 of their knishes. In their brick and mortar store(open only two days/week, there are many more choices of frozen knishes. The freezer space here is limited and shared by several vendors. This is a very good spot to stop in and find a very good assortment of local products without traveling all over the area, even if more limited than what you would find wherever the vendor sets up his/her main business. It may be that these vendors sell at a brick and mortar shop or at a Farmers' Market, but here you get to check out many different products in one place. Hot sauces, spaghetti sauces, flavored pastas, cheeses, pickle juice, pickles, knishes, chocolates, loose teas, just to name a few of the items available. It's worth a stop. Lovely little gem right in my neighborhood! I enjoyed being able to walk in and grab all of my favorites in one place! I also enjoyed the selection of Buffalo themed goods that turn out to make excellent little gifts for birthdays. I personally really love the Buffalo branded ice bucket! Many of the products that you will find here are certainly not exclusive, but the appeal is really the fact that they are all in one place. On this trip I didn't try the periogis, but you can bet this Polish gal (who usually makes her own...) will be buying some next time. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful! read more

We were excited to stop in here to support local industry. They had spices, jellies, honey, mustards, pasta, sauce, pierogies from two different vendors with lots of flavors to choose from, crackers... We bought a pasta peddler pasta variety pack and some unique mustard. The owner said that they plan to double the amount of items in their store as they expand and he was open to suggestions. Popped in here a few weeks ago , to see the local items that they sell and I was very happy to have found the krs seasoning , I normally pick up these at festivals throughout the year BUT since we didn't have any.... they also had those a few flavored sauces made by BA that I used to be able to get at the made in America store , (but the closed due to COVID I'm sure ) so I was pleasantly surprised. This place is really a nice addition to the Amherst area. The store is quite small but has a lot packed into it! There are a bunch of local vendors including Blue Table Chocolate, Weber's, Snowy Owl, Kissed By The Sun, among many, many others. There is a variety of cheeses, spices, pirogies, meat, popcorn, sauces of all kinds, etc. It's a great place to stop by to support local and won't take too much time. It's very close to While Foods and right off Sheridan and Bailey. They occasionally have outdoor vendors as well which is lovely. At one point they offered delivery although I don't know if they currently still do so. It's a great place to "visit" a bunch of local vendors at once. read more

I loved this little place! It's amazing to see all of the things that are made right here in WNY. The pierogi selection alone was really impressive! I ended up with caramel apple pierogis this time, but I already know I'll be back for others! :) The person working there was really friendly and helpful. Ask questions!
