I've been a patient at this dental office for about a year or two, but my recent experience has completely changed my opinion. I had to cancel an appointment due to an unexpected medical issue and called the office immediately to reschedule. Instead of showing any understanding, I was told I would be charged a $145 cancellation fee -- even after offering to provide a doctor's note confirming the medical situation. The office refused to accept it and said I could not reschedule unless I paid the fee. When I reviewed the financial agreement, it only listed a range of possible fees -- it did not state that the charge was mandatory or specify exact amounts for missed appointments. When I asked for additional documentation or written policy to support their decision, I was told none existed. For a healthcare provider, I find this lack of compassion, flexibility, and transparency very disappointing. Medical issues are often unpredictable, and I expected a much more understanding and professional approach from a dental office. Unfortunately, this experience showed otherwise. read more

I returned to Buffalo Dental implant for a third implant based on my experience in 2021. This experience has been quite different then the experience I had in 2021. It has been terrible. I arrived to initiate the process and the surgeon didnt appear to know why I was there...an extraction/implant..."thats not what the appointment is for"; once that was clarified I had my extraction. Returned for 6 week follow up. Appointment 0730 and at 0800 had to ask if I was being seen. Was seen by a assistent for 2 seconds...told "scheduling issue". When leaving they booked me for a crown but I hadnt yet had the implant???? They appear disorganized. I am paying $6,000.00 for an experience I would not recommend to friend or family. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! They are a complete DISASTER. They assigned me a doctor to do an implant and then the doctor went to California, then they put me in with another doctor, after having gone through the entire surgery and implant process and only the last day was left to remove the last thing that needed to be removed so my dentist could then make the crown. It turns out that the new doctor does the entire surgery to me and everything again because he said he couldn't see and didn't know how to remove whatever he had to remove from the final part of the process, and then starts all over and makes me feel like a lab rat with the whole process again and a thousand injections when everything was already done. I am very angry about this and never in my life have I met such crazy and unprofessional people, who think that I have all the time in the world and to like experiment with me the same surgery over and over again. read more

I got a dental implant done here a few years ago. It was a great experience from the staff, information sharing, and Dr. Farber as well. Recently went back for a second implant and had a great and quick consultation. Unfortunately, my new dental insurance doesn't cover them - but I really wish they did! I'd definitely recommend them as professional, knowledgeable, and quick. I remember most of the appointments as being quite efficient. read more

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this practice. While I didn't need to see Dr. Farber, I did see Gabby and she was nothing shy of wonderful. After a horrible experience at Dr. Sindoni's office, it was so refreshing to go to a facility where they actually care about you and not just your wallet. I had an inflamed implant (that was put in by Dr. Sindoni's office; they refused care stating that I was a "non-compliant" patient); went to Buffalo Dental Implant and after numbing me and poking around, alas, there were two popcorn kernels wedged down below the gum line. I was there about 20 minutes, experienced no pain and feel 100% better. I cannot thank you enough for caring and being awesome. read more

Dr Farber and Dr P. I cant thank them enough for their kindness, compassion, empathy and care they have shown me since beginning my journey with them as practitioners in 2018. I have never been in such good oral health. They truly changed my life. Beware, During my two implant surgery with Dr Farber, he had his technician deliberately break one of my upper teeth in hopes he would be doing another implant. I took him to court but it took me too long to have the courage to file a complaint so I did not win. Otherwise the judge said I would have. read more

This place gives conflicting info to prospective new patients. First time I called for periodontal work I was told that my insurance wasn't accepted, fine, but that I'd still be seen at least during a free consultation and was not told that I wasn't able to be seen at all. Then I call back a few months later after trying to find a periodontist that does take my insurance, couldn't find any, and so decided to give this place a try based on the experiences of people that I know who used them as well as their online reviews and was told that I wasn't able to be seen because they aren't able to accept patients for periodontal work outside of their accepted insurance network. This completely conflicts with what I was told a few months prior. read more

Very rushed waited two months for an opinion on a bad implant from another practitioner and a needed replacement of another missing tooth was told by Dr Farber the practice was too busy and couldn't take me as a new patient An unfortunate waste of my time I felt like I was auditioning for an exclusive club but I didn't get in! I'll look for another place . I do notice the positive reviews here are several years old or from long time patients I don't believe they are taking new patients but keep their options open for cases with a better profit margin ? very odd experience I don't recommend Buffalo dental implant Also dr was wearing shorts ? gave a cursory exam and didn't review current X-rays. I will try to keep this short. My first implant was performed by Dr. Farber about 15 years ago and the result was very successful. Then, in a two-year period, I broke three upper front teeth (Nos. 7, 8 and 9 in that order). I maintained the same dentist, but he abandoned his private practice and joined a mid-sized group. The group pressured him to send me to one of its oral surgeons, and the experience was not very satisfactory in terms of speed and comfort. When the next tooth broke, I insisted that I be referred to another implant specialist, and my dentist sent me to another oral surgeon who was a member of his group. The experience was not much better and the implant failed immediately and had to be redone. Ultimately, the resulting implants were OK, but the experiences were memorably poor. When the third tooth broke, I was ready to insist that my dentist refer me to Dr. Farber, but he suggested that before I could say anything. My initial visit to Farber lasted 24 minutes, during which he removed the broken tooth's root and installed the implant fixture. It was as painless ans any dental work I have experienced on a front tooth which is quite an accomplishment. I should note that in all three cases, the existing teeth were crowned and broke at the gum line because of structural weaknesses. There was no damage to the underlying bone and no need for any bone grafting. In any event, a few months after completion, this implant also failed. Now, you might wonder why I would give this practitioner the highest rating after his work failed. Well, his success rate is greater than 95% which means that some failures are statistically probable. Additionally, I've been told and read that one failed implant frequently leads to another. Also, In the course of treatment, I had a series of sinus infections which may have affected the implant. Sometimes, how a practitioner behaves when there is a problem tells you more about his or her competence than if all goes flawlessly, and Dr. Farber's more than redeemed himself. I think that there are some medical procedures which benefit from high levels of experience. Implants are all Dr. Farber does and he does them better than anyone else in the area and, based on the three (including the failure) he's done for me, much faster and more painlessly than others. Oh, Farber's 24 minute procedure compares to more than two hours each required by the other surgeons. read more

Dr Farber is amazing! I had an extraction and implant last Spring(2019), the office staff was so friendly and got me scheduled very quickly especially when I was in so much pain and had been dealing with two other dentists prior. Dr Farber is made me feel comfortable with the procedure, explained everything and even provided his cell phone after the surgery incase of an emergency! i have been not been allowed to see dr farber who i was referred to. i was charged a deposit for a service when others do not get charged for the same procedure. i was insulted and belittled multiple times by there staff and lied to about the charges being applied to my insurance. i am currently dealing with the fraudulent deposit charges now. read more

I live in Rochester, NY, Let me tell you it is definitely worth the drive! Very convenient right off the expressway and from the moment you step foot in the office you will feel like your at home. I went to Buffalo dental implants after being told by two other dentists there was nothing they could do for me. Dr Farber came in and sat with me and would not leave until I totally understood all of my options. Dr Mariani also came in and gave me all my options for my new teeth. I don't want to use any names for fear of leaving anyone out but everyone at that office is truly nice and caring. I have had Dr. Gregory Farber as my dentist/periodontist for approximately 20 years after a very severe case of periodontitis, and poor professional advice from a former dentist, whom i ultimately sued, and won thanks to Dr. Farber. Since that time, Dr. Farber has been my dentist and savior of my dental health. His knowledge in his field is second to NONE, his professional manner outstanding, his work ethic impeccable, and his pleasant nature infectious (in a GREAT way!) Not only is Dr. Farber the most incredible doctor i have ever encountered, but his staff is equally pleasant, caring, knowledgeable and efficient. Upon a recent visit, Dr. Farber voluntarily offered to give me a 2nd opinion of a new condition that flared up after a recent visit to a fellow dentist, and did so free of charge, which also included x-rays from his most up to date x-ray machine. In all of my years visiting dentists, and/or other Doctors, i have NEVER had a doctor in ANY field freely and compassionately offer his services at no cost. I have ALWAYS admired, respected and cherished Dr. Farber and his team for years, but this latest experience that i had was one that I couldn't let slip by without giving up the dues that this man truly deserves. Brochures, and internet postings regarding Dr. Farber's practice of being the Number 1 in his field is NOT said lightly. He wears that "badge" proudly, as he should, because he IS number one not only in MY book, but, in the hundreds of patients that he sees weekly.
