Buffalo Grille is located in a nice shopping center with several other businesses. It can get pretty busy at peak hours but I was able to find a spot at 11:30 on a Friday. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. For lunch, you can order both breakfast and lunch items as breakfast is offered all day. That gives you a lot of options but it's your basic American fare with a Mexican twist. Not much stands out on the menu as far as creativity but they do have a nice variety. I went with the lunch menu and got a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat with fries. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were interesting. They had a breading of sorts, I liked it. Buffalo Grille get pretty busy but the line moves quickly. If you're there at a peak hour, things can get pretty annoying because they're seemingly calling out someone's name on the loudspeaker every 20 seconds. It's annoying and disruptive. This place was solid! I got an omelette with spinach, bacon, and sausage while my girlfriend got the huevos rancheros. We also shared a cinnamon roll. The omelette was pretty solid but didn't come out extremely warm, which is how I like them. The food did come out quick. She really enjoyed her food but was saying that the cinnamon roll seems to have sat out for a while as it didn't taste very fresh-which I agree with. The inside was still kinda warm but on the outside the icing didn't taste very warm and it was fairly rigid. This place is absolute trash. I don't live in the area so when we come for my husband's doctor's appointments, I always try to give local places a try. The guy who took our order did not greet us at all. We looked at the menu as he was propped up against the counter. Never asked us a thing or spoke to us. When my husband asked if there was a meal that included bacon, eggs, and a side of pancakes, his response was rude and he acted as if our presence offended him. When I went back to the counter for butter, the same guy was leaning across the counter on his phone. It's a shame that someone who lacks such people skills is greeting the public. Place was not clean and food was so underwhelming. My pancakes were very undercooked. The crummy food mixed with the crummy attitude will definitely keep us from never returning. My friends and I use to meet here all the time. After a 2 year break, I decided to return with my sister and husband. I warned them about how busy it would be and the wait. Well, we arrived, found parking fast and walked up and ordered. No line, open tables, and it felt weird. I know why!!! The food is under par and it cost way too much for below average food. We should have went to House of Pies or Harris County BBQ for breakfast items. They offered a custom omelet yet they can't get it right. They forgot the cheese and when we brought the plate back (expecting a new omelet because there was only one bite missing and people want melted cheese in and on the omelet) they took 5 minutes to throw cold cheese on top. Ummmm, no thanks!!!!! Tasteless food and a disappointing visit for my out of town sister. I left food on my plate and let it go to waste. I could not eat it. BACON! bacon bacon bacon! This place has the best peppered bacon! It's worth going there just for it! Make sure you like pepper, but it is peppered bacon! A lot of people think of The Buffalo Grille as just breakfast, but we often go there when my husband wants breakfast and I want lunch. The chicken sandwich is very good. What I love is that you can get a variety of different breakfast items a la carte. If you want one piece of french toast (get it with the fruit on top!) or one ration of bacon you can get it! It's so great to be able to satisfy all your breakfast cravings in one meal! Definitely get there before church in the area lets out or the line WILL be LONG! Don't let the long lines deter you, it moves quickly, but it always nice to have no line. This location has more room than the Bissonnet location, more tables and space. I don't especially like the hash browns... they are full of onions and they don't fit my idea of 'hash browns'. read more

This is a great weekend brunch spot! It has quick service and we love the pancakes. Great place to take your kids to.

I've eaten here a few times now because I wanted to try out a few of their menu items for consistency. My "go-to" dish here is the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and corn tortillas. This plate is hearty and tasty. Two chicken enchiladas smothered in green sauce and served with charro beans, rice, and a nice hunk of cornbread can really hit the spot. I've also eaten breakfast here. Personally, I think there are better breakfast places around the city. But, I noticed that the line was long and portions were hearty. The food was average, the service was a two out of five and the ambience was a joke. This is clearly an establishment that is owned and or managed by Latin people who wish they could change the color of their skin to be white. I have never seen somebody try to please and kiss ass so hard, then this hispanic man in a white shirt that was running this establishment today. His staff, one elderly lady, who clearly lost her smile in her country and a young lady who can't find her way around a paper bag that were cleaning the tables were totally unfriendly. Almost Offended that I spoke Spanish to them. This restaurant is located in a busy shopping center. The inside is very cute and quaint. They put a few tables on the sidewalk as overflow and "patio" seating. The food and coffee is a bit underwhelming. The price is very decent. The staff are very nice and pleasant. What a great find! I'm really glad we tried the Buffalo Grille. The breakfast was delicious and flavorful. The menu is creative and really tasty. The biscuits are really to die for, and everything our group ordered was an excellent new take on an old favorite, or a completely new creation. The service was really the best. All the staff made us feel as welcome as if we ate there every week, even though it was our first time in. We had one minor hiccup, and they took care of it like we were family. Great job, guys! Don't eat there. My daughter got food poisoning there Saturday. She had breakfast at Buffalo Grille (scrambled eggs and pancakes) around 10:00 AM. Within 2 hours she started vomiting violently every 15 minutes. Within 4 hours she had explosive diarrhea. By 5:00 pm she was so weak and dehydrated that we took her to the ER where she was diagnosed and treated for food poisoning. First time eating here today! Got the Eggs and Sour Cream Chives w/ 2 pancakes. I came for the pancakes because I heard how huge they were, but the eggs were what really sold me. I really like the Buffalo Grille for a midweek breakfast spot. I say midweek breakfast spot, because I need to differentiate it from a weekend brunch spot. Here's why: For a midweek early to mid-morning meeting, it's a great spot. There's plenty of space to sit, ordering is easy, the cinammon coffee is extra tasty, the food is consistently good, and the noise level is moderate enough that you can hold a conversation. My favorites include their delicious hash browns and extra thick cut peppered bacon. I might add that my over medium eggs were done to perfection last time I was there. So why only 3 stars? Because really, how many stars can I give a spot that I only want to frequent for a midweek breakfast? I don't like coming here on the weekends, because it gets too crowded, there's no place to sit, the food quality and speed of service decline, and there are no bloody mary's. It's a neighborhood diner that serves breakfast all the time, kind of place. Portions are large and usually heaping with things that are probably bad for your cholesterol and taste amazing. It draws a large regular crowd of post church brunchers, and after work family diners. If you live across town, it's not worth seeking out because your neighborhood probably has one too. Hallelujah. My love for buffalo grille is reignited. Hated going to the old one off buffalo speedway when it was in the HEB parking lot. Parking was such a nightmare. Then it moved and was much better parking-wise, but they always managed to burn the bacon and undercook the hash browns. And endure that for what? I'm so glad I did! The menu is probably identical to the other location. The special was migas. I gotta say, I hesitate to order mexican here, even though the cooks appear to have their credentials. I just hate being disappointed. So I got the #3B - scrambled eggs w cheese n bacon w side of hash browns and buttered toast, a side of peppered bacon, and a large stack of pancakes. Yup. I was hungry. I sat on the patio and enjoyed their delicious coffee until my order was called. The food came out perfectly! The bacon wasn't overlooked and the hash browns weren't limp or soggy. The toast was the saltiest buttered toast I've ever eaten. And for a gal who consumes salt on everything (even salad!), even I couldn't eat it! Oh well- fodder for the patio birds. Everything else was great. No disappointments. And their back patio was beautiful and quiet. It was a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with my dog. He gives their bacon and eggs 5 stars. Chicken Fried Disappointment. I often enjoy the chicken fried steak at the Bissonnet location it is always flavorful, freshly made, and crunchy. Today i decided to try the one on Woodway @ Voss it was nothing like the other location. The meat was thin and flavorless, the breading was limp and didn't stick to the meat. I seriously think it was prepared ahead of time and reheated (it came out really fast). The quality was about what you would get in a TV dinner. I will not be going back. I LOVE the Buff!! First of all, it's so cozy and comfy to me - I love the fireplace, the same typical lunch crowd of business guys and local retired guys...and the gals in groups having fun. It's just a cool vibe, and I love the atmosphere. Their food is always delicious in my experience; I'm a creature of habit, and I tend to order salads, fruit, etc - well, they definitely have those choices for me. They *also* have fierce BLT's, burgers, huevos rancheros (which you can get made with just egg whites!), and all the other things that cross between plated meals (i.e. somewhat like traditional Cafeteria offerings) and Mexican food, as well as salad, soup, fruit. You can also get yogurt, oatmeal, etc. There really is no reason to not go there, no matter what your dietary prefs are. Additionally, I just truly love the condiment/drink area -- it's open for you, constantly full of all the condiments and items you could need/want. The coffee refills are free, which is great, because the coffee is divine. I love their cinnamon pecan (I believe) - every time I leave the Buff, I seem to think I smell like a pancake, but it's worth it! The personnel is also awesome - shout-out to Mr. Raul, a guy who my brother seemed to have a bond with from the start. I will try to post a pic they took together - too adorable. Prices are VERY reasonable, but not "cheap" - which is fitting since this isn't a hole-in-the-wall. So disappointing. I used to come here growing up all the time and loved it. The quality of the food has gone way downhill. I got a Buffalo burger and the meat was gross and the bun was stale. My husband got a breakfast meal. The hash browns were so soggy and the "homemade biscuit" was dry and stale. He also got a side of Mac and cheese and we didn't think they could mess that up...but it had NO flavor and was lumpy and gross. It just wasn't good. Especially since they have raised prices so much...was not worth the $40 we spent on our meal. Sadly, I will not be back. read more
