    Spinach Quiche & Coffee
    Deborah R.

First time visit, and it was for breakfast. All I had was a cup of coffee and a slice of Spinach Quiche. The quiche was just a little different from what I am used to eating. The filling was softer (not as firm) as other quiche I have had in the past (or baked at home). It wasn't bad, just different. Unfortunately, the pie crust was a little too thick at the end (not the bottom). I usually eat that big piece of crust on any pie as a treat as the last few bites. In this case, it was just too thick, and not as flaky as I like, and I did not bother finishing it. The serving was slightly larger than I expected, which was nice. But, it needed a little something with it, such as a small salad (not unusual with a slice of quiche). With that said, the flavor of the quiche was good and I might have it again when/if I return.

Average, standard comfort breakfast/brunch food. Decent prices. Not much room write about - met expectations.

Very impressed with both the quality and quantity of food served on my French toast breakfast today! Ordered eggs soft scrambled and bacon crisp - and they absolutely nailed it. The French toast itself was crusty around the edges and soft in the middle - just the way it's supposed to be. One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. My wife and I actually chose this place because of the waffle breakfast shown so prominently on their page. Turns out they only serve the waffle on the weekend - so we were initially letdown. I was also disappointed in the coffee - it wasn't up to what I was expecting and I don't like the 4 oz mugs. Also, the syrup should be warm rather than chilly. I hundred percent recommend stopping by this little strip mall location on Westheimer if you're in the area looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch.

I see a lot of fils like this place, but it's a ok place to me. I consider it a expensive knock off of La Madeleine. The inside looks more like a diner than a French cafe. The display near the register had some deserts that I may try in my next visit. The menu is simple and direct. I did see some sandwiches and soups that folks were getting and they looked good. Unlike La Madeleine, you have to place your order and pick it up from the counter in most cases. The presentation gets a B. The monogram plates was a nice touch. My omelette was not runny with a little fluff and that's a plus. The waffle was perfectly cooked, golden brown and the syrup and berries with whipped cream brought the right balance of sweet and savory. This is a spot you would go to as an alternative to your weekend breakfast spot. Not every weekend, but if your regular spot is crammed with folks then this could be your "one in the pocket".

I like this little diner. Owners appear to be a couple that works hard behind the counter. This is my first time here although I later noticed on Sunday around 10am, I was slowly getting surrounded by regulars. These type of places are nice to go to where the regulars trust the people and service. The pancake breakfast came with 2 pancakes (which I couldn't finish because I was full), 2 eggs, & I chose sausage. I was just driving through and usually do not have spare time to sit and relax. This was a nice place to have a relaxing breakfast

My first visit to this cute little place inside a strip mall; It's just a few steps off of WestheimeAbout 20 tables, spotlessly clean. It appears that everything is made fresh. They have soup, interesting salads, sandwiches and full breakfast. Today we are trying French onion soup, egg salad half sandwich, California half sandwich and potato salad with parsley pesto in it. I am sure we will return when we are in this neck of the woods.

So cute! It felt like we were in Europe eating at a french restaurant. It looks scary outside but once you go in you're transported. The waffle was so yummy and there was a lot of food. I got the waffle plate and my boyfriend got the french toast plate. We could've done with getting one plate and getting a plain waffle on the side because it was so much food. The service was chill, you just order at the counter and they call you when the food is ready. Very cute little spot and I can't wait to come back again.

It was good service with very nice servers. Food was average. Plain ambiance. Good cost though.

First time. Order from counter and server maybe owner quite abrupt. Saw that soup of the day was 'cold cucumber' and was told it was french oinion. Actually have the same 4 soups everyday. So ordered a bowl, it was smaller than expectedl but plenty for me. Most patrons were older and seemed to be frequent customers. Tables were very close together. Not sure if I will go back.

First time here, found on yelp! The food was hot and fresh, and the coffee was delicious! Inside the restaurant, they have French music playing, so that's the aesthetic! The owner came over to introduce himself and talk to us about the history of the restaurant. If you ever get a chance, come by and see him!

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register.
