Last night I NEEDED wings. The local Wingstop doesn't have dedicated fryers for non-gluten coated wings, so BWW it is! Unfortunately, the biggest 49er game of the regular season was in progress, so it took an hour for my party of 1 to get seated. Finally ended up seated at a table I watched sit empty for 30 minutes. Hence, the 4 stars. I have not had wings in almost a year since finding out that I have a severe gluten intolerance. Wings AND fries in dedicated fryers? Oh happy day!! I wish I can give it a zero star. My family came here for lunch on 6/14/2022. It was one of the worst customer service experience we ever had. We waited over 20 minutes without a host acknowledging or helping us even though they seen my family waiting. There was also another family there waiting for over 30 minutes without being help. The restaurant was not even busy. Only a handful of customers sitting at the bar. Both my family and the other family waiting left without any service. Finally went to the BWW nearest me and it was the biggest mistake ever. It was after midnight and not busy (at least 3 staff just cleaning), and it took awhile for us to be acknowledged. It's so great to have a wings joint in the East Bay, especially in this part of Concord where there are tons of new developments in the works. Sadly, there aren't any good chicken wings nearby so I was relieved/excited to see BWW move in. So why just three stars? THE GOOD: There's plenty of free parking in the lot. They also have a decent happy hour Monday-Friday from 2pm-7pm and 10pm-closing. You get $1.50 off draft beers, wines, certain maxed drinks, and margaritas. Also there's a decent selection of shareables aka appetizers for $4 - Try the Southwest Loaded Chips! (pretty good if you like nachos with a twist). Also, if you like sauce as much as I do, you'd appreciate that they pretty much drown their wings in sauce. THE BAD: The service was pretty awful especially considering they were not busy this rainy afternoon - We felt more like a burden to our server than anything. Maybe it was just her personality, but come on! She barely checked in to see if we needed anything, and when you're eating spicy hot sings, you'd appreciate a water refill sooner rather than later. I've only been to BWW once before this location, and that was in San Ramon. I was super excited for this newer location because it's closer and I looove my chicken! However, service is pretty terrible here. Not because the servers are rude, but because they are non-attentive. To make it worse, it wasn't even a busy night. My boyfriend and I waited at two different tables for service without anyone noticing or acknowledging us. It was disappointing. Our whole experience changed because of a very kind, hard-working employee named Claudio. He was the one who seated us and jumped in when we were confused about the service. I don't think this was even his responsibility for the night as he seemed to be the Host. He was super attentive; decided to step in and help us, the tables around us, and more! I saw him helping his co workers clean tables and doing additional work for the entire restaurant. Claudio was so friendly and did everything like it was no problem. This guy deserves to be noticed for his genuine personality & hard working attitude! We are happy to tip generously for a server like Claudio. Food and cocktail was good! My girlfriends and I gave this place a try for our first time and the food was GREAT but the service needs improvement. Thankfully we were not in a hurry and our server was obviously covering a larger area than usual since they were short-staffed, so we patiently dealt with all the service 'mistakes' that were eventually corrected, just was very slow service from start to finish. And it is kinda 'gross' to be staring at many many uncleaned tables all around us because of the lack of staff that day.
