We used to frequent this BBW often over the past few years. Over the past year though, it seems to be spiraling. Its a hot mess. The hostess, who we have encountered many times, is... something. She will yell you as you are entering the restaurant from across the room by just asking "how many", and just point at a table for you to go to. She then just throws menus on the table and walk away. The main reason why I am writing is that I think there is something going on with the wine pours. Oddly specific, I know, but hear me out. About 6 months ago, we had visited had I had ordered a 9 oz wine. When it arrived, it was clearly NOT 9, it was below the logo, so a 6 oz (if you are not aware, on chain establishments there will be a logo on the glass. The bottom of the logo is 6 oz, at the top of the logo is 9 oz.) When I questioned it, the waitress said she would bring it back to the bar, and get it taken care of. It came back properly poured, and she said she was so sorry but the bartender had dyslexia. (Ummm... OK). She said that that they use a different wine bottle for the 9 oz pours (what?) so it was confusing for her. I know the name of the waitress, and don't want to name drop her, so for now I will just use the first initial of new name- T. We've been there a few times since. Anytime I ordered a 9 oz wine, it always came out with the correct amount. Same interesting hostess many times. Tonight, we had T again. I ordered a 9 oz. glass. Came out at about 6. I said nothing to her, but called my husband's attention to it, and recalled the last time we had her as a server. As it took FOREVER to get our food (about 30 minutes), I ordered another glass as our food was delivered. When she came back with it, (again as 6 oz), I told her I ordered a 9 oz. We ate our dinner, and as we finished (another 30 min) she came by and said that the bartender was having trouble locating the bottle of wine (what?). Another 15 minutes goes by, and she says, we no longer use bottled wine. We now use wine pods, and they don't have 9 oz, only 6 oz. When I asked why she then offered a 6oz or 9oz, she said she didn't know that they use wine pods. So... when we got our bill, it clearly lists 2 9 oz pours which were then deleted but another add of wine that was slightly less than the original cost. My point is that if you are asking for 9, and don't actually know what you are getting, they are over billing you. What was interesting was that it was only with this one server, T. Maybe there's a deal happening between the bartender and this server? IDK. Either way, its shady. read more

Note to self: don't visit BWW on a Saturday night. It was a madhouse! The front of the house was a disaster. We had to wait 15 minutes before even getting acknowledged. Aside from that, the rest of our visit definitely made up for that. We asked to sit at the bar which was MUCH calmer and a completely different scene. Our waitress was really attentive and sweet. She was on point and very quick to provide us service. All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and delish. Even the serves who brought out our food were extremely bubbly and friendly. That alone made us want to come back to this location. I'm sure if this was a weekday, the experience would have been a full 5 stars. Deff recommend this location! Getting in was just a challenge. When we got there, the host told us come back in 10 to 15 minutes. We asked if he needed a name. He said no I will remember you. We came back in 10 minutes and asked how long, he said 45 minutes. I told him that he said to come back in 10 minutes and he will remember. He said he didn't. He seemed completely confused. After complaining, we waited another five minutes and were seated. Food overall was good. Best thing was the cheese curds. Nice seasoning and lightly fried. The ultimate nachos also good. I'm free I was a little surprised there was no meat on them, but the cheese sauce and jalapeños made up for that. I also got that item for free when I signed up with their app. If you go there often, it's a nice little perk to have. I ended up getting a brisket burger. It was good, not great. Really good BBQ sauce. Fries were meh. I tried one of the boneless Parmesan wings. Really good flavor, kind of disappointed I didn't order them. My younger daughter told them it was my daughter's birthday. They brought out the ice cream pictured in one of the photos. Not sure what it was called. They did a good job with that. So here is my update after 9 months of limiting my visits. If they could get 0 stars I would be awarding 0 stars. Todays visit was even worse then the worst experience I have had at this location which was last April (2022). I arrive around 7 minutes later then when my takeout was supposed to be ready, so they had plenty of time, and there was no one at the takeout desk. I waited 10 more minutes, no one shows up, so I call the main line and get connected to a person that tells me she is "bagging the orders, and she will be right there" she was somewhat rude. Five minutes later she shows up and screams my name.. very rude. Basically, I get it no help, too many orders, but I think there is simply a bad process. Orders should be on a shelf and you should have a security camera that goes to a screen the bartender(s) could watch. When I get back to my office to eat I see that as usual there are no utensils and I asked for extra dipping sauce which was not provided. The food also tasted a bit off. My advice to the franchise owners: If you cannot provide a takeout option just shut it down, concentrate on dine in. Discard expired food material before someone gets food poisioning and concentrate on your core which I believe is dine in and specifically the dinner and party crowd. My wife loves it...and I like it. This BWW restaurant is across the street from the Danbury Mall. There is parking, and every time we've been coming the lot is pretty packed. It is especially crowded on Sunday afternoon during NFL season, but when the games end it starts to empty out fast. We always come for the traditional wings extra crispy, and a large with a basket of fries. It seems that the large is coming with less wings (18) before it was 20 if I remember correctly. Tuesday's the traditional wings are half price. The service is slow, and the wings have in my opinion a little bit too much seasoning... maybe the chef is generous? The waitresses/waiters are friendly and helpful. When we are in Danbury we definitely will be back... cause my wife loves it, I think it's okay. read more

The curbside service here is terrible. On one occasion I requested curbside pick up and I was told that it would be better to come inside and pick up my order because it would be easier for the staff. I said no thanks and got dinner elsewhere. Most recently, I placed a curbside order and when I called to let them know I was there...no one was picking up the phone. Phone rang for 5 mins...I got out of the car and walked inside. I did not hang up the phone so as I walked inside I could hear the phone still ringing while no one was there to pick up. I saw a note on the counter to head to the bar for order pick up. I walked to the bar area where a guy asked if I needed help and I said yes to pick up my "curbside" order. I waited another 5-10 mins and he comes back to tell me...your order is ready and at the counter. I then say to him "Are you sure because I've been trying to get one order for the last 25 mins." He apologized and I made my way to the counter. A girl with glasses immediately says "your order is ready." I say to her "I'm not understanding why it took me a half hour to find that out...there's no line here tonight and you are not busy...where were you?...this was placed as a curbside order" She just looked at me and did not even apologize. Bad customer service and ice cold wings. Past experiences, the food here is okay but the service needs serious improvement especially during Covid conditions and you must check your order before leaving. Once I got the brisket burger with no burger. I've had honey bbq wings mixed in with real spicy wings ( not put in separate containers ) There was a time this location had their act somewhat together but now, they are sloppy, not attentive and it appears the customer comes 2nd now. I've been to this location several times with no major issues, but I had a pretty poor experience this past weekend when a group of my friends and I went to watch our team (Clemson) compete in the college football playoff. We had a party of 5, started with some appetizers and pitchers, and some of us wound up getting wings. Around 5 minutes into the second quarter, all the TVs in the establishment went out. We tried to get our checks so we could leave and watch the rest of the game, unfortunately we missed the rest of the 2nd and 3rd quarters until we got home to finish watching the game. I spent probably $40 between apps, food, and drinks, so I'm a bit disappointed we weren't able to watch the game we came to watch. The manager, Nicole, was sympathetic but the only resolution she offered was to invite us to watch the national championship game there on Monday. If my online ESPN stream is more reliable, I think I'll stick with that personally. I don't intend to put anyone on blast, just thought I'd share the experience I had. My husband and I brought his basketball team after winning a championship game. They were promised BWW if they won: Anyway, we were seated promptly as it was not very busy. However, service was pretty slow, although I do not believe that it was the fault of our server. Things were coming out of the kitchen very slowly.
