I am a sucker for those cheddar bay biscuits so you can't tell me anything bad about Red Lobster. It was also my late mother's favorite restaurant, so I admit I'm biased. After talking about said biscuits one afternoon, we decided to go to Red Lobster and it was actually a great experience. Our waiter was terrific and very efficient. My shrimp trio (fried, scampi and pasta alfredo) was tasty. Of course it's not like eating at a seafood restaurant by the shore but everything was prepared well and the portions were generous so I took the pasta home and had it for lunch the next day. Endless Shrimp is back again for a limited time. Priced higher than it was, but I think it's still worth it. $29.99 per person. We enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi, Mary Me Shrimp, and the Shrimp Alfredo. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Red Lobster. I have never been to any location. I've always wanted to go for the Endless Shrimp and finally took the opportunity. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Our waiter Jon did a great job. The manager was around the restaurant and was helping clear plates when needed. The food was great. We tried most except for the Crispy Dragon which was sadly unavailable. My favorite was Garlic Shrimp Scampi followed by the Shrimp Alfredo. The Alfredo came with pasta. It was honestly better than sone Italian restaurants I've had it in. The Shrimp Rangoon was ok but fell short of expectations. Then of course, the Cheddar Biscuits. We asked for iced tea and we were brought soda. The popcorn shrimp seemed like it came from the frozen food section at the grocery store. The shrimp Alfredo was microwaved, it was clumped together. One star for the dragon and coconut shrimp (and biscuits) and one for our server who I believe was named Paul. He was great, charismatic and informative. Very friendly. One star off for the hair in my drink that I still had to pay for, another for the dirty glasses and a third for the fact that the lobster and shrimp tacos came only with shrimp. We love Red Lobster and really wanted to enjoy it, but this experience was just not it. The side Caesar salad was soggy and had a bit of brown lettuce and the coleslaw didn't taste like much either. It felt like it was missing seasoning. The biscuits were great, but I think I would have got up and left if they weren't. The lobster and shrimp tacos were good, but would have been nice if they actually came with lobster. My sunset colada was great, but there was a hair in it which was gross and then the mango gunk settled into the drink and it just tasted like fake mango flavoring. I guess I would have done better with just a piña colada. We arrived at 9 pm and it was still super busy. Music was chill and eventually we were the last to leave, but that was less on us and more on how long everything took. Even the drinks took forever to come out. Ambiance- typical of any chain restaurant. Super busy. Darker vibes here than let's say Olive Garden. Service- 1. We waited 20-25 minutes for our waiter/waitress to arrive. 2. When our waiter did come, he was incredible. We were not upset at him at all. It seems more of a communication issue between staff. Greg ended up being our server and we were incredible impressed by his attentiveness and knowledge. Great job for him! Food- we came for the carb stuffed shrimp rangoons. My boyfriend and I came here to enjoy our birthday (his June 22 and mines June 24). We came to this location on my birthday, long story short my boyfriend had asked the waitress if they can sing Happy Birthday to me. Cheddar Bay Biscuits, need I say more? I guess I should, but those biscuits are just so yummy. Anyway, we went to Red Lobster two weeks ago for my grandmother's 90th birthday. This is her favorite chain restaurant and her choice for birthdays and anniversaries. My mom called ahead to let them know there would be seven of us and they said that would be no problem. We arrived just shortly before 5pm on a Friday. Unfortunately, I have been finding that these types of restaurants don't have the hype they once used to. 5 years ago at the same time there would be a forty minute wait. We were seated right away and there were probably about 6 other tables in the whole restaurant with people dining. Our waitress came over and took our order promptly, as we explained that we were out for a birthday dinner. She eloquently took notes on what we were having, sides, substitutions, etc. When the food came out, everything was correct and there was nothing missing. Kudos! I got the Salmon New Orleans and it was amazing. The salsa on top was perfect, the salmon cooked correctly, and the sides were an amazing pairing. I had a gift card to Red Lobster so my boyfriend and I decided to try it even though we were less than enthusiastic about the prospect. I'm a big salmon eater so I went with the New Orleans salmon with mashed & broccoli on the side. Boyfriend got the "crab lovers dream" Pros: cheddar bay biscuits, service was decent, mashed potatoes were good (how could mashed potatoes be bad though?), $6.49 for a big 20 oz beer Cons: had to wait 15 minutes even though there were plenty of open tables everywhere we looked. My boyfriend's food came out incorrect. When we told our server he promptly switched it for the correct meal which appeared to be sitting under the heat lamp for awhile due to the hardened up looking pasta sauce. Literally every time we come here my husband and I say we are never going back. But some how we wound up back there. We took the kids bc we were going to the Danbury carnival but didn't want carnival food. The hostess seated us right away, our waitress came over to take our drink order in a timely manner. I first put my kids orders in with our drinks so their food would come out fast. Both had Mac & Cheese and fries. Drinks came but no biscuits. Hubby and I both ordered the Monday special which was all you can eat shrimp. I got the fried shrimp & shrimp scampi; he ordered the shrimp scampi and shrimp skewers. Still no biscuits bc they were "in the oven". We both had salad with our order - this for me was the best part of my experience. It came out fast and the dressing was tasty - I know, it's dressing, how could it not be tasty. My kids meals came out - I wish I had snapped a pic... the portion was so small I don't think it would fill up a 2 year old. My kids are (almost) 5 & 7... they can eat!!! Once they finished their Mac n Cheese they were still hungry. Still no biscuits. At this point we needed refills, I actually think our waitress went on a 30 min break bc she was no where to be seen for at least 30 min. I asked the hostess who was seating a few ppl if she could get my waitress, she said she would, but she didn't come back to our table for at least another 5 min. Finally the biscuits arrived and the kids chowed down bc they were still hungry. Our shrimp came out at least an hour later. We practically inhaled our food bc we wanted to get out of there. We ordered the surf & turf, the steaks were extremely small & not correct, order two filets & got strip, the steaks were dried out & no taste, the lobster tails were sliced in 1/2, the veggies were either under cooked or mush (3 dinners). Ran out of wine that was ordered & the drink that were order 99% soda. Alot of $$$ for substandard dinner. Will NEVER go again & advise not to waste your time at this establishment. Came in here today with my dad after visiting westconn and i have to say we really had a great experience! From the moment we walked in we were greeted and taken care of. Our hostess was super friendly and attentive. Our server, Lisa, was also great! She was nice, fast, and knowledgeable. She went over all the side options for me without even having to ask. Lisa got our food out really quickly! We had biscuits almost as soon as we walked in. Our appetizer which was oysters was great (and I think it was only like 10 bucks too). For lunch I had a pick two. I had shrimp and scallops with rice on the side. The rice was banging! I literally loved the rice like so much. We also had salad, which I didnt even know was included! Very disappointed. My first visit ever to any RL. I'll start at the end the only good thing about this place was the service and the staff. I ordered the linguine Alfredo with crab Seven maybe eight minutes after we placed the order the food came out. My dish was terrible the linguine was under cooked and there was hardly any sauce and the crab definitely came out of a can. how do you screw up pasta and cream sauce. She had the something seafood with The smallest seafood I've ever seen scallops that look like peas to me she ate some of it. I stopped eating mine after two bites and my dining companion knew this was a terrible dish. When we asked the waiter to take it off the check he didn't hesitate. He said he guessed a manager but he came back 30 seconds later with a revised bill. They've obviously had this issue before. We paid the check left a appropriate tip for the waiter because it wasn't his fault what came out of the kitchen and then we left never to return to any Red Lobster. To us it was the McDonald's of seafood fast food. We're going to need some wet wipes for both entrance and exit you know what I'm saying people right. read more

We went here for a late Sunday night dinner. One member of the party (fine, it was me) held everything up by getting stuck in traffic in New York. Our waitress, Jennifer, was super patient and kept everyone else settled with cheddar bay biscuits. She also gave us a complimentary bag for the road - yum! The food was good - lobster artichoke dip was hot, the lobster cream baked potato was delicious and creamy (worth the extra $3.99). As far as the food, the only complaint is it would have been nice if someone had deveined the fried shrimp. The wait time for food, considered it was Sunday night and the restaurant was half empty, seemed pretty long. Fifteen to twenty minutes for dessert, when it's just being put on the plate and sprinkled with chocolate sauce, seems exorbitant. The bathroom was really clean, and parking was super easy. Very noisy with all the little kids. 5. A cold draft kept hitting my girl at our table. Overall the entrees were good and generous so we would return if in the area again.
