I thought it only happened in urban legends but I can now say that it does in fact happen in real life and that, ladies and gentlemen, it has happened to ME. That's right, I found a razor blade in my food. I didn't just "find" a razor blade, I BIT INTO a razor blade. And lived to tell the tale. Fortunately, it was laying flat when I bit down so I got out of this fairly unscathed (physically). It was buried beneath the pico de gallo in a fish taco. Unfortunately for Buffalo Wild Wings (and me), this is the first time I have ever been to one and will probably be the last. I assume this isn't a regular occurrence but it wasn't too comforting to show the blade to my server and have her words of consolation be "That's a razor blade! Once a bolt got loose in the dishwasher and also ended up in someone's food!" She was a sweetheart with a winning smile and great customer service but, in this moment, she was just not getting the gravity of the situation. The manager was nice enough to apologize and comp the meal and I got a note from my server saying "thanks for being nice to me! when you come back, ask for ____!" which I took a picture of but won't post to spare her the embarrassment. We were here about 5:40 PM on Sunday sept. 25th. We ordered just wings, online, an HOUR before. When we got there, there were almost ten people and not one of us was helped for 15 minutes. No one asked us anything and the kid that was working behind the counter never acknowledged anyone. A girl with a badge that said "captain" walked by several times and ignored all of us. Finally someone went to go get a manager which also took forever and we were so fed up we just left. Absolutely unacceptable. THEN I called and asked for a manager and was put on hold for over ten minutes so I finally hung up. Then we decided to call them to tell them to go ahead and throw out our order. I have eaten at this location once and enjoyed my experience here. This Bdubs does not stand out from others, good food and good service. Their wings were served hot and their starters were very flavorful. Beers are cold and the food is hot! Staff is always friendly. Yum yum. Grabbed lunch here recently and it did not disappoint. Good service and good food. While the prices have gone up, quality is still alive and well. My date and I both ordered chicken sandwiches, his crispy and mine grilled. The chicken was moist and flavorful, Bduds does chicken well. We also both had fries as a side and they were good as well. One thing, people might not know this place for and that is COCKTAILS! Had the Berry Angry blue berry puree with barcadi and Apple Orchard..great combo and it was so good!! This is the worst location by far! Each & every time I order from this location they have forgotten at least one thing. I work in the downtown area & this buffalo Wild Wings is the closest one so when I'm really desperate or craving wings I order here & I don't know why I even bother anymore. They have never ever gotten my order completely correct. I ordered food today for my lunch hour from this location via door dash. The door dash delivery guy noticed they messed up on my order when he picked up my food & brought it to their attention. Buffalo Wild Wings told them it should be fine & to deliver my food. If it wasn't okay they advised him to give them a call & they will fix it. However when my food was delivered & the door dash delivery guy told me that they messed up my order & I told the him that it was okay because too much time would've already been wasted since I was on lunch. They messed up my wings, I ordered half blazin & half no sauce. & they forgot my south western ranch. I don't understand why they couldn't have fixed it when the door dash delivery guy first brought it up to them. If I ordered my food a certain way & it comes out differently from what I ordered what makes you think that I or anyone would be okay with that?? Worst experience at this location that I have ever had. We arrived at 11:55 and ordered promptly, indicating that we were in a hurry. We had to be back to work by 1. The waitress acted like that wouldn't be a problem. However, as soon as she took our order, she went to a table that had about 8 -10 people and took their order. She didn't even put pur order in the computer first! Our order went in probably around 12:15 and from that point until 12:55, our waitress never checked on us once - not even to provide an update or apologize for the long wait. We finally had to snag another server to try to convert our order so we could take it to-go. At that point, our food arrived at the table and they brought us boxes. On top of all of that, they forgot the salad that we ordered! She brought it out, but forgot the dressing. When all was said and done, it was after 1 before we could even get out of there and it's a good 15 minutes back to work. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more

I was one of the first people to frequent this establishment when it came to the Southside of Des Moines lots of years ago. I had great experiences for the first couple of years, and bad one too! Always gave them another chance! I just had the worst experience today, the food not made to my order, the manager wasn't willing to offer to replace my wings, but offered extra sauce on the side as a remedy! What a joke! Dined in. Party of 6. 45 minutes of bringing out 1 plate at a time. Appetizers came when 3rd person got their entree. Who knew the Black Bean Burger was not made from black beans AND came with bacon??? No mention of THAT on the menu! Guess the vegetarian isn't eating tonight!! Waiter then argued with my adult daughter about bacon just comes on that burger. She said ok, but the menu doesn't say that! Out of Mac n cheese, out out onion rings, so no sampler app platter. They would not even consider adding more cheese sticks in place of onion rings. Nope...can't do that! Overcooked, tough wings. No refills on our water. $95 for a crap dinner. Service was sub par too. A complaint submitted to corporate via their website resulted in a return email stating, sorry you weren't happy, we hope you'll give us another chance. That was it. Oh my word! This place is a madhouse! I know this is opening night for NFL Football, and they were severly understaffed! Oh, how do I know that? Well first the manager said he would not seat us outside because they were understaffed. THEN the waitress came overand told us if she would have known it was a football game night she would have called in sick! There were lots of people waiting for carryout orders and we just kept waiting for appetizer to come and then we saw what we thought was our appetizer go to another table that came in after us so we waited some more. after that we saw the waitress go to the table where are supposed appetizer was and remove the appetizer so it probably was ours but ours never came. since by this time it was going on 8:30 and we had a six year old with us who just wanted to eat we decided that we would just leave after paying for the drinks. but we couldn't find a waitress or a manager or anybody to tell them to bring us a ticket so we finally after an hour just left. This location never gets my order right. I always expect to be missing at least 1 item in my to-go orders. Most times I don't say anything because I'd rather not make a fuss. This time I called, spoke to the manager and he seemed to place most of the blame on Grub Hub. Mind you, this is not the first time I've had issues with missing items. Then he went on about how he processes several hundred orders each day, but "apologized". This is a pretty typical Buffalo Wild Wings. Good wings, but not too much else that really stands out. The staff the times I have been have been o.k., but could have been working more urgently. The sports vibe isn't as strong as some other buffalo wild wings out there and the facility feels more cramped than others I have been to. This buffalo wild wings seemed to do quite a bit of carry out and that might be the way to go. I was here on Superbowl Sunday and it was beyond busy. That being said, they did a pretty good job of distributing food and people. My only gripe would be I had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get a receipt of the food ordered. My husband got a gift card for his works holiday party, so when we were in town looking at Christmas lights, that's where we went to eat. I have to admit, I was reluctant to take our kids Bc the last time I was there I was childless and much more of a drinker, and couldn't remember if they were kid friendly. Is it a Pizza Ranch or a Chucky Cheese? No. lol But they had coloring pages and crayons for the kids. Our waitress, Kelly, was great. She even helped direct us to a neighborhood light display we were having trouble finding. The food was as delicious as I remembered and the drinking and loud sports watching wasn't as distracting as I was concerned about!! The prices were a little on the higher end ($10 for our meal, $6 kids meals, $3 drinks, and a $13 appetizer) but it was delicious. He waited at the cashier stand for 5 minutes and got irritated because he was not greeted but watched multiple employees, and the GENERAL MANAGER walk past him and ignore him. He came back out to the car and made me come inside. Being so late, I assumed maybe I need to pick up the order at the bar, so thats where I went. Nobody came to help at all, so I went to the cashier stand to find Abby who told me she didnt know if my order was ready to go or not, which it should have been because by this time it is almost 11:50! I get home to find that my pita chips are so burnt I can barely eat them, one of my ranches had something red and unknown in it (I would include photo if I could.) So many people complain about the service here, but every time I've been it's been great! Almost every time a manager or a person in a white jersey (I forget what they are called) comes and asks us if we need anything or if we want to try any sauce flavors. We usually come for wing tuesdays or boneless thursdays during happy hour. Happy hour prices are great! $3 appetizers, $4 beer and specials on absolut, jack and captian! Two people can eat enough food for 4 people for under $30! Sometimes the amount of sauce on the wings is a hit or miss, but you can always ask for extra if you clearly weren't given enough. read more
