We have to Ft. Worth Ribeye and it was so fatty, 3/4 of it was fat, and what wasn't fat was gristle

Love this place! There bbq ribs were awesome, I tried it for the first time and I have to go back again.

We had fantastic service. All of the servers were quick, attentive, and kind. We ordered the 8 ounce filets--absolutely marvelous. Great steak, reasonable price, and the cute server sent us back to our hotel with a few bags of peanuts so we could watch a ball game. Highly recommended this restaurant in West Des Moines. The only drawback is that it is noisy, which is fine for most people. This Texas Roadhouse was not nearly as noisy as some we have been to. Excellent! read more

When you first walk in there are benches set up for you to wait. It can get crowded so may make it hard to hear a little bit. The lighting is just right where you can see but also feel like there is a good ambiance setting as well for a night out. Boyfriend and I have been here a couple times and have not been let down! From the service to the food it's all totally worth the wait!! I love how the salad is always fresh and crisp, not to mention actually cold. They have definitely stepped it up as I've had bad experiences with having a not very well cooked steak along with other small inconveniences. The last time and this time has proven they have stepped up and work hard to please their customers. I'm very thankful they have stepped it up and are showing more caution with how the steaks are served. I absolutely love the options for steak toppers as well! read more

We order to go here about once a quarter and the food is always ready when they say it's supposed to and is still hot when we get it home. The food it exactly what you expect. A good steak, good salad, and of course rolls. I haven't ate in at this location, but it's always packed. read more

Came here a few nights ago with my boyfriend. Service was okay, my servers name was Christina. Good with refills, but didn't offer more rolls or pre buss. What really bothered me was that we wanted to order dessert l, but she just told us to pay on the table top device. She didn't even give me an opportunity to order it. It felt as though we were being kicked out, when there was plenty of other people in the restaurant, and over an hour before close. Ambiance is always loud, but that is expected. Food is always hit or miss at this location. Never know if it will be good that day or not. read more

My husband and I are regulars when it comes to Texas Roadhouse. Whenever we are in a new town, we always try the local one. Tonight we went to this location and we had the best experience! We ordered the cactus blossom and it was cooked perfectly!! No extra grease in the bottom, all the batter was cooked, and it came apart wonderfully. We always share a steak, and tonight it was cooked perfect!! I added shrimp, those were cooked perfectly as well. The sides were also wonderful! We sat at the bar and the waitress/bartender was very friendly and extremely attentive! I missed her name but I think her shirt said Andy. The music wasn't too loud so we didn't have to yell at each other to have conversation. Absolutely will return to this one when we are in town again. read more

Look, I'd like to be nicer than this. The food is good, portions are generous, and servers are friendly. But it is unbearably loud. Not in a fun, casual kind of way. The music was so loud it vibrated the table. People have to shout over the music just to have a conversation, which only makes it more loud. I can't imagine what it would be like for someone with sensory issues, ASD, or hearing impairment. I means, I can eat at home, the whole reason to go out to a restaurant is to socialize, and yet we couldn't carry on a conversation. In spite of the good food it feels like we wasted a date night. That and the flies that kept landing on my food and I was basically done. This is our second experience like this- we'd hoped the first time was a fluke, but unfortunately it seems like this might not be the place for us or anyone who actually wants to socialize on their night out. read more

Great food and great service, just like every other Texas Roadhouse out there. The rolls are amazing, fries are delicious and heavily seasoned, and the burgers are thick and juicy. Everything needs improving. Waitress had a bad attitude or did not care about customer service. No greeting, no hello, just barely their name. The VOLUME in the place is beyond excessive. Turn down the music and maybe then the wait staff can hear customer requests. And when food came, a well-done steak was as dry as dust, came with a minuscule mashed potatoes in a tiny bowl and green beans in a tiny bowl as if I'd ordered off an ala carte menu. Plates were cleared without ASKING if diners were done. No refills on beverages. No asking about dessert. And the sheer noise overall. Awful. Absolutely awful. Next time I'd rather just have Wendy's. Or something local where the wait staff can hear the customer and conversations aren't at yelling volume. read more

Ordered the steak kabob last night. Unfortunately the steak was almost like chewing on rubber. Taste was more or less ok. Seasoned rice was not very good either. on Sunday 7/19/25 there was a dead fly in the bottom of my salad and I still had to pay for the salad I sent back and refused to eat. After trying to get the managers attention he ignores me then when I call he knows exactly why I'm calling and still had the never to say yeah I told you guys to have a good night!???? Very unprofessional he went out of his way to avoid me even after I saved the whole restaurant the issues of telling their customers to check their salads! Won't ever be going back and it was his unprofessionalism that makes me want to never go back. By the way, our server was awesome. Manager is cheap and tacky. Somehow.....about 20 parties got seated before us before the hostess realized she deleted our reservation/check in. This place is always good. I come here regularly and they are always friendly, caring and very efficient. I love how they write your name down and call you by your name. The staff lets you know their name and when the food is delivered they say your name. Kat, Taylor, Kailey, Ben are always great! If I could give them 6 stars I would but I can't so I have to settle for 5. My go to steak is the NY Strip and it is always juicy and flavorful. My next option but not made all the time is the Prime Rib. It is always GREAT and just can't brag enough about it. When I want to be healthy, I order the crusted chicken and that has plenty of flavor for the amount of calories! I have had the veggies, sweet potatoes and the salad. All these options are great and you can't never go wrong. This place is very well run and Jessica (Manager) does a great job. Always courteous, happy and you can tell that she loves what she does because she has great customer service skills. I'll see you next time! read more

We went to the West Des Moines location on Friday night. We waited over 15 minutes for our waitress to come and even ask us our drink order, she was in the bathroom the whole time. After almost 20 minutes we put our order in as we were waiting I went to the woman's restroom, our waitress was back in the restroom. I got close to the restroom and all I could smell was sewage, I went into the restroom and there was sewage all over the floor and the smell made me sick it was so bad. I came back to our table that was near the restroom at that time our food was there and brought out by someone else because our waitress was still in the bathroom. The smell coming from the bathroom was horrible and nauseating! We stopped the manager to discuss the issues and he said there was nothing he could or would do about it. It was so bad other customers including us took our food and left because the sewage smell was so overwhelming. We will NOT ever be returning to this location. It was a major health violation and absolutely sickening with unacceptable behavior from management. read more

Went to this institution for the first time last weekend With friends and family around 9:30 ish.Not a big group by the way 5 -6 people max.Waiter seemed nice it was cool got seated in no time. After getting seated we ordered our apps in which were bacon fries .After a decent amount of wait we got it its still going good probably approaching 10 pm. We ordered our dinner the last part of the evening ,Texas RoadHouse Was scheduled to close at 11 that day.Our Entrees took At least 45 Minutes. The fried pickle appetizer arrived hot and fresh, and we were able to enjoy it and finish it before the salads arrived. The salads were delicious, and the steak entrees were cooked perfectly. Carryout review We've been excited for a Texas Roadhouse that's closer to us. We kept checking online to see if we could do carryout and it wasn't there. I drove by one day and saw the "dine in" sign was up and sure enough, online ordering was open too (you can also call an order in). Online ordering was simple. The only challenge was finding a time we could select as they were having a high volume of orders. I received an email and text confirmation for my pickup time. I headed to the restaurant, parked in the carryout spot (there were 7 or so), and followed instructions to say I was "HERE." I immediately received a text back saying my order wasn't ready. I wasn't surprised by this since they were swamped. I watched many carryout orders come and go and so many people walk into the restaurant for dining in. Thirty minutes later, I received a text saying my order was ready. I walked up to the clearly labeled window, stated my name, and got my order. To home I went. Everything was packaged well. The rolls were in a big, white, cardboard box and there were plenty! Those came with four cinnamon honey butter containers. The adult steak entrees and their potato sides (one a baked potato and the other a sweet potato) were in plastic containers and presented well. The vegetables were in separate plastic containers. The two kid's meals were in styrofoam containers as were their sides. Everything was labeled clearly. Online we selected two kids drinks but they were not included. Not a big deal but I feel if they are online and selected, they should be included. The quality and taste of the items were exactly as we've had at dine in experiences at other locations. My filet medallions were perfectly medium, my husband's prime rib was perfectly medium rare, and the kids enjoyed their hot dog and cheeseburger sliders. Overall, a great food experience that could only get better with more accurate pickup time and kids drinks included. read more

I chose the 12" Fort Worth Ribeye with Loaded Baked Potato and House Salad everything was excellent and the Baked Potato even melted in my mouth! Service was very good, I even got a free Ice Cream because it was my Birthday! You do have to ask for water though! We had never been here before. Decided a lunch date with the husband. Oir server Megan was absolutely incredible!!!!! Very kind knowledgeable and friendly. Went through every question, filled in all requested information, gave them all my credit card information requested and went to pick it up at the scheduled time....got there and they could find no order! We were to pick it up at 5:45, it is now 7:05. I had to redo the order over the phone and may get to eat before bedtime! I am done with them. Happy New Year anyway! read more
