Circled back to this Chili's again to see if our last visit was a fluke... I'm just not a huge fan of corporate owned big chain dining... Nope. It wasn't a fluke. A good overall experience on this return visit too! The parking lot is large with plenty of spaces in front and alongside the restaurant... Last time there wasn't many of us inside of the restaurant. My daughter and I and a couple of others... But that was at 430 PM on a weekday afternoon. This past Sunday at about 745 PM they were pretty busy! We were greeted as we walked in and seated quickly. It was unreasonably cold for being just into the second week of November... They put us in a smaller booth just to the right and a little below the host stand. I wish we'd ended up a little further away from the front door than we were... Pretty much had to eat with our coats on. Standard table service for ordering. Drinks first and then food. We ordered: 1x Green witches brew 1x Fountain drink (Coke products) 1x Unsweetened ice tea 1x Fajitas for two (steak and shrimp) Once again... We only had a short wait time between placing our order and the food hitting the table. The sides of rice, beans, pico, cheese, and sour cream were all well prepared and fresh. The tortillas were warm, the shrimp was seasoned nicely, and the steak wasn't overcooked. The peppers and onions were cooked down tender. Our server checked on us a few times and kept our drinks full. Reasonably priced... Your server is there if you want to pay in cash... If you are paying with a card payment can be done right there at the table, using the tabletop kiosk, when you finish your meal. It's a pretty painless system. I can honestly say I'll probably be back again! However If it's cold out... I'll definitely ask to be seated further from the front door...! read more

Frequent this location a lot. Never any complaints about service or food. Service deserves probably 10 stars. Super fast at seating and ordering and following up and getting food as well as drinks. Edgar does a great job. Everything today was great. My partner loved the burger. The thousand island dressing was on point. I always get the little Santa fe egg rolls and they're my favorite. Especially with the little sauce. Drinks are good but definitely better prices on those elsewhere. read more

They always get my order right and the drinks are great. We have family dinner there at least 2 a month and every occasion we can.

Haven't been here for quite a while. Food was better than I thought it would be. Service was helpful. Ambiance was nice and laidback. The only thing was paying the bill. They kind of push you toward using the electronic system that is at the table. It gives you a variety of ways to split the bill which at first is confusing. I guess they assume everyone pays with a credit card. Unfortunately I don't have the patience to try to figure out if one person pays with a card and the other person chooses cash. I hope all restaurants don't go to this system as it will just raise prices. read more

I have been waiting for my drink and chips for 20 minutes with no sight of my server. I am growing inoaccient as it is not that busy and yet I am still not receiving my lemonade. This is by far the worst service I've ever had at any restaurant. Just awful. read more

I made a reservation for a big group & confirmed it 3x, the last of which was 24 hours ahead of time. When we showed up for it we were told they couldn't take us - the tried to cobble a couple tables together which would accommodate around 1/10th of the group. Ok,.... From the cocktail to the entree, this was horrible. The Tito's punch had a weird aftertaste. So much so, i drank less than half ... and that was a struggle to chock down. The Baked Seafood Pasta was even worse than the cocktail. It was supposedly to be an Alfredo sauce but was very heavy thick cheese sauce. It was so bad and over cheesy that it went uneaten. The only upside was the server took it off the bill without me asking. He did offer a replacement but the damage was done. What little I tasted felt like a brick in my stomach and will probably be lodged in my color for the next week. Now I've been to Chili's occasionally when I travel and it's always been a "go-to" for quick decent meal.... Not this time.... I joined a friend on July 11, 2023 for dinner at 7:00 pm. We were greeted upon arrival and seated immediately. We both ordered the chicken tenders dinner. The tenders were absolutely delicious. We went July 10th 2021 for early dinner. We had a awesome experience!! The food was amazing! We got free chips and salsa that are bottomless. I got the Fajita and my wife got the ranch Quesadilla from the meal for two for only $25. We got two side salads plus a dessert. A lot of food for only $25. They don't go cheap with amounts of food. Got nachos to go... Well first off, the air holes weren't punched in the plastic container, making all the chips soggy. Strangely there was a layer of foil inside as well, with 4 nachos on top of it. The rest were underneath. Those underneath the foil were completely water-soaked, floppy and inedible. The beef seriously tasted bad, like cat food bad. Likely microwaved. Without the sour cream I do not think I could have ate any of it, it covered some of the foul taste. I believe in calling a spade a spade. I take time to compliment a business when it rocks but when that rock sinks your good feel vibe for the day, it's time to communicate "that." Came into restaurant at 12:45pm. Seated immediately. By 1pm - no server greeted us nor took our drink orders. Took 50 minutes from time of finding server, placing order and actually GETTING food. Really? Host served our appetizer. Manager served our food. Server never returned to refill our drinks. Fries come with my $20+ meal. Got them 10 mins after the fact. A part of my meal was made wrong. We had to tell server we ordered a dessert. She could have cared less. Manager did seem to address issue by taking a mere $10 off. No real reason to come back. Used to love coming here. This special moment celebrating Father's Day with my daughter was ruined here. Thank you Chili's. I'll have to wait a whole year to have a more momentous Father's Day. I have been to this Chili's many times, and have never had a bad experience! My most recent visit (back in January 2014) was no different! My go to is the Grilled Shrimp Tacos with rice. Awesome every time! My partner gets different things each visit, and he's usually satisfied. My only complaint is that I wish they'd build a third Chili's in downtown Des Moines or on the South Side, as they need more restaurants! I suggest you ignore Justin B.'s review, as I have never seen that kind of behavior here, but that WAS six years ago, mind you. To the foodies who eat local only: Why are you even reading this when you do nothing but knock the chain restaurants? Chili's is a chain, I'm well aware of it, and yes I dine at places like Centro and Mezzodi's, too! After lots of shopping and things around town my wife and I decided to go to chili's for lunch. It's been a long time since we have been to chili's. Today I got the 3 for $10 deal. I got the chips and salsa and the smothered prime rib burrito. My wife got the lunch duo. She got the side salad and the double cheese burger. The server was really friendly when she came over to take our order. I was really impressed by the chip and salsa. The salsa seamed very fresh and the chips were nice and crisp with just the right amount of salt. The smothered burrito was just the right amount of meat cheese and rice to make the perfect burrito. My wife said her burger was nice and juicy and really large for a lunch portion. I would for sure come here for lunch again. The only issue I had is that the service was slower then a normal sit down lunch rush. Luckily I wasnt in a hurry :). read more

After a lazy Sunday morning, my girlfriend and I decided to get some grub. I had a hankerin for Chips/Salsa and I remembered during my travels that Chili's has bottomless chips/salsa that was on-point...turns out my memory served me correctly. I ordered the bottomless soup/salad and chips combo and my girlfriend ordered a salad/chicken quesadilla. The Caesar salad and chicken tortilla soup was excellent along with the chips and salsa. My girlfriend has no complaints as well. Additionally, we the the best server, Jaclyn who took care of us and sent us home with a free bag of chips/salsa as a thank you for our patronage. Told us "right here" and he's tired in between two booths and then walked away. Apparently they don't give you a menu where and already have them hiding behind their advertisement posters. A lady asked us for our drink orders and then turned around to help clean another table instead of just going to get our drinks first. A little rude if you ask me. The food was pretty good, only issue is if I'm getting a steak I want my broccoli to actually be cooked. I'm not standing here at a party eating raw broccoli off of a tray. Just went here on Veterans Day. Was hoping to redeem the free appetizer. Got in there and the manager told me that a mask was required. Not true. There is no state wide mandate. Pointed out to your manager that there was no sign saying this either. Put on one anyways. Then was told to wait outside on the patio. Hard pass. Left and went across the street to Steamboat Boys. I love this chain! Went for lunch today with the family. It's a very family friendly atmosphere and there seems to be something for everyone. My son enjoys being able to play games in their table kiosks which is nice so adults can have conversation and not feel rushed when eating. The food was great. I tried the sunrise burger with the egg on it. Definitely not date food!!! It was the messiest burger I've ever eaten! I have stuff dripping from all my fingers and I'm sure my face. But it was delicious! The egg could have been cooked a tad longer though. My mom got the prime rib fajitas. She special orders everything and they actually got it right! The prime rib was melt in your mouth yummy! My only complaint was the service was a little off. We couldn't get a straw to save our lives and it seemed like our waitress was super busy across the restaurant. But she was extremely friendly and I enjoyed our lunch. read more

Fabulous server last night when my boyfriend and I went out for dinner! Very attentive and our drinks were always full, can't beat that! I had the big bite sliders and he had the bottomless soup and salad, which also came with chips and salsa. My sliders were very flavorful and cheesy. Honestly, I haven't frequented this place for a number of years now, not because it was bad, just because we kinda forgot about Chili's. We went here on a whim, last week, because we haven't been there forever and the food was great! We went back tonight and honestly, it was even better! I eat out alot! Date night, Family night, drinks with the girls. Chilis ranks right up there with the Applebees of the world. Foods okay service is a hit or miss. This location seems to always have an issue with a host not being present when people walk in. I had house salad with French and ranch. Decent salad. Too much of the lawn clippings salad ingredients though. I like bib, iceberg, romaine. Not into purple stuff and spinach leaves. Still ok. Soup I got the chicken enchilada soup. Pretty darn good stuff. I asked my chips and salsa be brought out to go since I knew I would be full after soup and salad. Had a great time at chili's this past weekend! No complaints! We went around lunchtime on Saturday and it wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. Our waitress was great and kept our drinks filled and our food came out promptly. I ordered the guacamole burger with a black bean patty and my boyfriend got a barbecue burger, they were both amazing and warmed up well later on! The fries were good as well.
