I've had wings here before and I definitely know the difference between hot and mild. After this she walked away and didn't come back for 45 minutes. My son and daughter were so tired of waiting that they left and my wife went to sit in the car. They weren't even busy. Really a complete sh*t show. Never going back! read more

This BWW store Appleton has some of the worst service in the whole country. The manager Leanne should be ashamed. I had a horrible experience here a couple months back but decided to try it again. Showed up at 11:15pm this evening to order some food to go and the bartender was SO rude and told me they were closed. I said what time do you close? She said 1130...I said it's 11:15. She said we are closed and walked away. Meanwhile the bar rail had 5 guests eating or waiting for orders. The website clearly states open till 12am. Unbelievably rude employees here, don't waste your time coming here. Upper management needs to know about this dive of a restaurant and bulldoze the entire place. read more

I used to go to BW3 frequently as a college student but haven't been in many years. My family was in Appleton for the Mile Music Fest and my teenager wanted to try out these wings. We sat outside with our family in f 6 , next to an outdoor huge Connect Four game for the kids. We were happy to order wings with 4 differed t sauces , loved the Asian Zing, Original buffalo, and garlic parm. No one liked the mango habanero, it was overly hot with an artificial mango taste that was not pleasant. Wings and fries were perfectly cooked with just the right crisp. Loved the seasonings on the fries and ordered a second order. Kids' meals were well priced and included a side and milk. Our server, Landrell, was amazing. Kids wanted to come back again just to see him! I don't usually give chain restaurants 5 stars but this hit the spot. read more

Very disappointed. My fiancé and I just ordered wings, which they put all together in one bowl (his BBQ, my Parmesan Garlic, and his Habanero...makes no sense (I hate spicy food, so I couldn't eat any of mine since they're all mixed). Also, my wings looked like they've been sitting under a heat lamp all day. They're dry with no sauce, but not even warm. We normally order from the one on Calumet, and apparently won't be ordering again until they reopen. The "manager" said he could remake them, but it wasn't worth the fifteen minute drive back to get a repeat of dry, plain wings. In regards to Buffalo Wild Wings, this is the best experience I've had at any location. Service: It was 4th of July and everywhere else was closed so we chose this as a last resort for wings. It was dead. Our server was also the bartender and she was running all over the place. She was fairly attentive and had a good personality. One star awarded. Atmosphere: It is creepily dark in here. I've noticed that in most BW3s locations though. It makes it feel dirty and old. I will say, some of the cleanest public restrooms I've used in a longgggg time. The bathrooms alone get half a star. Food: Cheese curds were fresh and had nice texture (gooeyness and breading wise, add another star here) and there was a good quantity. The wings weren't bad and the sauces were good. The classic chicken wrap was nothing special. I liked the tortilla chips that came on the side, nice and crispy. Drinks: I understand that they pay for special sports events and that is why they charge so much for booze, but the beers we had cost more than the meal and we each only had 2 drinks.... I would leave 2.5 stars if it was an option, and it is nice to know we have a place nearby with decent curds. read more

There Blazin Knockout challenge is way too spicy to live in Wisconsin. I'm not exactly sure about the Devil's Breath peppers in it. I hate Ghost Peppers but it has that in it. Please stay away from this location until the GM or owner rights the ship. This was our third bad experience in two months. Writing this review saddens our family. My wife and I have been going to BDub's since 2001. I should point out that our comments are just for the Grand Chute location. We have been experiencing a serious decline in the quality and quantity of food from this location. Our last trip may keep us away permanently. I've been struggling to find the right words to describe our meal. My wife and I decided not to post pictures. We did not want to make people ill. The broken wings were the rule and not the exception. Now I'm not a perfectionist, but I cannot eat bone fragments. The wings weren't just broken in one spot. These were more like crushed roadkill. If that wasn't enough, we had several wings with feathers. For the Anchorman 2 fans out there- we also had a number of pieces that would have made Champ Kind proud. I literally had to ask, "Exactly what part of a chicken is this?" "Is this even from a bird?". So with the new count on the large order being only 19, about half were edible. We had plenty of excuses from the manager, along with a declaration that the broken wings weren't their problem. I would need to take that up with their distributor. I informed them that I wouldn't be paying for the wings, and they could take that up with my accountant. The manager reluctantly took the wings off our bill. Previous reviews have mentioned fatty wings that are under cooked. We had some of those too. My kids have enjoyed eating food around the country. Octopus, snails, sushi, venison, elk, antelope - we have been fortunate to enjoy many different restaurants, but we eat hamburger helper too. We are not food snobs. Living in Atlanta, Ga., I've been to several B-Dubs and to several different locations in the "big" city and around the country. We came here on a Friday night while in town, when we had the munchies and wanted a quick bite to eat since our flight landed after 9pm. Normally it would be packed in Atlanta on a Friday night, and here in Appleton it was what we thought was "empty". There were more people sitting at the bar area than the restaurant area, so we sat at the bar area. Out of the four of us, only three of us ordered dinner. We all ordered the "small snack" order each (which is 10 wings per person which equals to 30 wings in total). We waited and waited and waited... Other people came after us and got their food before ours. Our server claimed that our food was coming up soon, and they were "short staffed"... On a Friday night? Why? But our wings took forever to come out. It was only 30 wings for three people, and while other people got their food before us (who also ordered wings btw). Come on! I will think twice before I come back to this location. B-Dubs, please get your act together. You need to higher more staff and you need to live up to your standards from the other locations around the US. read more

I've had two time IN A ROW where we had issues. The first time I thought maybe it was just a bad day so we tried to go another day after that and same thing. First time: I went with a group of me and 6 other people on a Saturday. We knew it would be busy so we didn't mind waiting. The waiter was very nice too. So we all ordered and sat talking, and the food starting coming out in little waves, like 2 people got theirs, then another 2, etc.. Well, mine never came. I told the waiter and he said sorry and that he would go to the kitchen. Also, my boyfriends wings had almost no sauce. I waited another 10 minutes for my food that never came (and it WAS on the slip, he wrote it down). He comes back a little later and asked if I ever got my food. No, I didn't. By the time it came everyone else was done eating. Then on top of that, we had to wait 30 minutes just to get our bill. My wings were knocked off for being so late, but having to wait that long just to get a piece of paper is kind of ridiculous. Along with the fact the waiter had to ask us all what we ordered again because they lost the slip. Second time: me and my boyfriend went on a week night a little later in the evening. It was somewhat busy but it wasn't bad. We got seated right away and we ordered an appetizer first. Once it came the waitress walked away. 20 minutes passed by where she didn't come to our table at all and we couldn't even order our actual food. Finally she did and we ordered. It took about 30 minutes to come out. It was SOMEWHAT busy, not extremely busy, 30 minute wait time busy. 30 minutes was just ridiculous. By the time it came we were starving, but whatever. When we were done the waitress said she could have a manager give us a discount BUT it'll take about 20 minutes to find her and to get the discount on our bill. We passed, we were sick of sitting there. I'm not one of those people who complain often because I usually don't care enough and most times it's just a bad day, but considering it happened twice in a row, PLUS we've heard from other friends how their wings have been really dry or they had to wait LONG waits, it's just a bad restaurant. I wouldn't suggest going there if you're on a time limit... I don't even want to g there anymore because I don't like spending 2.5 hours of my day at a restaurant that should take an hour-hour and a half at most, and that's saying a lot because I LOVE the wings. It took 10 minutes for someone to first come up to our table once we were sat, 15 minutes of waiting for our order to be taken, and 50 minutes of additional waiting until we saw any food. Our order was incorrect and missing items. It took so long for our missing items to come out that we just had them boxed up right away. I just can't with them anymore. The inside dining is a joke so I started ordering for pick up. Almost every time I am missing food and when I do an order for pick up at a specific time 3hrs earlier I still end up waiting an additional 30 min for food that should have been done my example of yesterday.... I ordered my food online at 3:00pm for a pick up at 5:45 when I get off work at 6:00pm because I knew it would not be ready. I got there and not only was it not ready I waited almost 45min before someone finally brought it out but I could not pay because the machine didn't work and the other one was taking an order that took over 20min to place and was still being taken when I left. So after waiting the ridiculous long time I said screw it left my food on the counter and left they don't need my business or money and wasted my time. I ended up going to McDonalds because I wanted to get home but needed to make an extra stop because of them. So thank you BWW for nothing!!! read more

The wings are good but be very careful with the web ordering and the delivery service. The ordering is very confusing and error prone. We ending up getting $40 or sauces with no chicken. We also used the delivery service which is a completely different company, grub hub. Basically when you order delivery you are actually paying grub hub to purchase your food, so any mistakes can not be handled from the store and must go directly to grub hub. No consideration was made for the first order so with the second, we got $40 of wings for $80. Plus missed the first half of the packer game because we did takeout the second time. I am giving one star only because no stars is not an option. From the time our order was taken til we paid our bills and left the experience was a complete nightmare, service and food total bush league. Starting from the top...It took forever to just take our order, now we had a big group and the waitress seemed new so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward half an hour and we have not seen the waitress since our order was taken, so nobodys drink has been refilled. She finally comes back out to start bringing out our food. This is were the fun really began. So apparently only about half of our order was ready when she started bringing it out. She hands out what she brought and says "I'll be right back with the rest, and I'll get you another long island" as she points at my brother who had finished his drink 15 minutes ago at this point. She leaves and we start looking over our food, and it was not good. 1 order was missing a side, 1 order was completely wrong, and the 2 medium orders of wings were almost cold, not warm what so ever. We spent literally the next hour WAITING for our correct order to come out. It seemed like everytime the waitress came back with something it was either wrong or she had forgotten something else. She never wrote anything down and virtually disappeared after awhile out of what I assume was embarrassment, because we were never ride to her. Needless to say it took over an hour for half of group to get there food at all. Spoke to manager who seemed like he could care less and gave us money off our bills but that wasn't even the end of it. One bill comes out with like triple the amount of stuff on it, sent it back and she comes out with the correct bill, but no money off like manager had promised. Sent it back again. Every step of the way was absolutely brutal. Managers need to do a better job managing and holding their servers, cooks, and themselves accountable. Won't be returning to this location. Ever. Side note: We saw some friends on the way out, texted them later asked how the service was. Basically the same. Terrible. AND the waitress told them that WE we're causing problems. We had a group of 7 go to this location last night, and honest to God we ALL have never had a worse experience at a restaurant. Absolutely mind blowing. I'm not sure if it was a combination of the cooks & wait staff, or what was going on. Nothing was really explained that well even when we spoke to the manager. I used to work at a restaurant all through high school, so I know how difficult it is to deal with people, especially people who think it's your fault when it's not. I'm not blaming any of our experience on one person, I'm just laying out there how terrible the experience was. For starters, the waitress never once asked us if we wanted refills on our waters. We were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half, maybe even close to 2 hours, and it took 45 minutes + to get the last two of our group their food. My order was wrong, which I told them and they apologized and I got a different wrap. Which isn't a big deal whatsoever, but it took over a half an hour + to get my correct order. (By the time I got mine, my friend got hers at the same time, while literally everyone else was done with their food) My wrap was cold, my boyfriends food was cold, his brother never got his fries. We also ordered appetizers, we told the waitress we were missing something with it & it took them over 30 minutes to get us the spinach artichoke Dip. At this point in the night, it wasn't completely packed, but it was decently busy so I'm more than understanding that it's going to take some time to get what we need. But it took FOREVER with everything. The waitress was nowhere to be seen most of the time. It got to the point where we didn't even see where our waitress was, she hardly ever came to check on us. We had to flag down other waitresses to get some service. At the end, she apologized and we asked to speak to a manager. We all got $10 off our bill, which was great and more than appreciated. But speaking to the manager, he didn't seem the least bit concerned that we had a bad experience, and spoke to us like a robot. Never explained any of the confusion and didn't seem too sincere about the apology. And to top it off, some of the bills were incorrect as well.
