First time since the place has been updated and wow what a change. I can't even remember what the old place looked like. The bar is very nice and bright with plenty of TVs to watch sports and play the trivia game. They have a great happy hour everyday from 3-6. We usually love coming to this Buffalo Wild Wings because the service is always great, but today was a huge disappointment. Our server, Ariel, was extremely unprofessional. We didn't get our drinks until we were almost finished with our food, even after reminding her twice. Some food items were missing until we pointed it out, and one order was messed up despite us repeating it twice. On top of that, we weren't even given napkins or forks and had to eat with our hands. Went to Lansing BWW for dinner, to find out the BEST Bartender they had there Alissa S was fired, and heard that the manager on her shift lied to save his own ass! She was good enough to work for this company for 7+ years as a manager at the Lansing location to then transfer to Texas a a GM.. to then come back to her home store in Lansing to be a bartender ... This was our first time here and I was horribly displeased! I have been to other Buffalo Wild Wings before and I was wondering why this one was so empty...were the only ones there. Well now I know why. First of all it took my mother in law 20 minutes to receive her soft drink after we all had receive ours. It also took a good amount of time for our order to be even taken. We found our server was standing at the bar flirting with the bartender Upon placing our order, we found out that they were out of traditional wings, among other things. After revising our order a few times due to the amount of items they were out of, when our food was ready it took the server a good amount of time to bring it to the table because she was standing by the drink station texting or playing on her phone. Give it a try. It's remodeled and very spacious. Very bright (a little too bright?) inside. Food and drinks are good, and as expected from this chain. Service has been inconsistent during our visits; upon entrance what seem like random people appear (not in any kind of uniform and dressed super casual) to seat us. Service has also been inconsistent, even when it appears it's not busy. Definitely potential to bring in more customers if a few service improvements were made and brought consistency. read more

Let me start out by acknowledging the Bartender Alissa Sims, once we sat down she greeted us with a smile and told us the specials. The day we were in she had a packed house and still managed to stay on top of things, put in our food order and drinks. I stopped by on December 30, 2023, to pick up an order I placed for a burger and a chicken sandwich. Two sandwiches? Yes, just in case the burger didn't live up to the recommended hype. How was the burger? Mediocre, best describes what I was given. Well, good thing I purchased the chicken sandwich, right? Well, that was only, okay. I wasn't sure if either sandwich came with fries, so I ordered an additional large order of fries. It would have been nice if the cashier would have mentioned that both sandwiches came with fries?!? What I was given can best be described as cold old fries. Obviously, someone working here is a smart Aleck and though it would be funny to hand off these fries to me. There is no place in any restaurant for someone like this employee. If this person is discovered, then, they should be immediately fired because customers should never be treated like this. My group was attending a training class up the street and wanted some wings for lunch. I peeped some of the recent reviews and was a bit skeptical when I first walked in. It was pretty empty. We got seated right away. We warned the waitress that we only had an hour and she gave me an uneasy look but I kept calm. Out waitress Cheyenne was great. Got our drinks right out to us and the food actually was out really quick. We had the buy one get one wing special and was full. Wings were cooked right and they weren't dry like other locations. I came here while my car was being worked on. It's nicely decorated with all kinds of sports memorabilia. I opted to eat in the bar since I was by myself. This was my first time coming here so they let me taste the sauce I was interested in ordering. (to go with the wings) The waitress actually brought out 3 other sauces for me to try. I really liked the Caribbean jerk and the mango habanero (which is very hot) I ordered the boneless wings and fries. They're not called fries, they're called something else. (can't remember) You can get a melted cheese on them or the liquid queso cheese. I opted for the liquid cheese on the side. I also asked for my sauces for the wings on the side. (which the waitress happily obliged) The food was good but I really liked the potatoes. If I knew they were that good, I would have just ordered a large and no wings. Called to see if there was a wait, got to the restaurant and there was one group in front of us. We left our name and phone number then they told us they were at capacity and made us go outside. While sitting outside, we watched 4 more groups walk in and immediately sit down. When we went in to ask, they had taken us off of the wait list and then we proceeded to wait longer for them to clear a table. Waitress was quick to take our order but the 35 minute wait after they took us off of the wait list ruined the experience. We got our food and the order wasn't correct, and the waitress never came to check on us. The store has changed a lot over the last few months. Service is decent, over all sports experience not all that. Taking away that makes some customers veer away. Including not having any more drink/beer specials. Wing specials not the same changing the prices and times(Tuesday) wing specials only until 8pm. Beer prices going up. My last two visits in the last couple weeks have been disappointing. Waiting for our food order for over 40 minutes, no manager stopped at the table to fix the situation. Again a couple weeks later waiting over 30 minutes for a burger and a sandwich. Not acceptable. A manager did not approach the table, until I informed the server that we were upset about the situation. We waited 10 minutes. No service. We looked around hoping to find someone and this is what we saw: -Two servers standing at the front counter talking. They looked like they were griping. We kept staring at them hoping to get their attention. They looked over at us and then it got worst. They pulled out a bag of food and started eating. Right there in the dining room! Finally one of the server sets down the food and walks over to a table taking their drink order while still chewing. -Another server standing at the host stand writing, coloring? Who knows what he was doing on that paper but he certainly wasn't doing his job. -Several servers walking by...slowly...avoiding eye contact. Not a single "I will be with you in a moment". Nothing. So now it's been 15 minutes and we haven't been acknowledged. We get up to leave and pass the sloppy server eating. The guy at the host stand says "Have a good night". On 12/1/2013 I called in to order the Lansing, IL location as usual, destiny answered but then it was all downhill from that moment. She was rude and acted as if I was troubling her, while I was ordering she interrupted me and asked me "Is that it?". After two items I decided to speak to the manager, she initially didn't want me to speak to the manager and would not transfer the call. After a few moments I spoke to the manager "Rakiya" and she was not much help. She didn't even want to listen to whet happened during my order, she asked me "Did you get to order?". She didn't want to hear the complaint, maybe she had other important work than doing her job. We got BUFFALO WILD WINGS around 10:00 PM. We wanted to sit at the bar. The hostess said it would be a few minutes claiming they had to wipe off a table for us. While waiting we could see that there were only a few people in the bar area. About 20 minutes pass and we were still at the front of the store waiting to be seated. We were finally seated at the bar after they wiped down all the tables and the bar. there was NO ONE in the bar area again. NO ONE IN THE BAR AREA. I really don't understand why we had to wait 20 minutes. We ordered the fried pickles they were okay. The onion rings, the French fries and nacho cheese sauce was not fresh. It was like the food was cooked before we order it. The black bean burger was over cooked it was like eating well done toast CRISPY. Can someone explain how minimum wage is going up the the quality of the service and food is going down. Don't go there you've been warned. These people suck I say this because the cook shouldn't send cold or old food out, the server should know how long the food has been sitting and can have the kitchen remake the cold or old food instead of serving it . and if your server pays attention and see's that you only took one bite of something they should be asking is your food okay. This place has gone way up in price over the last few years. Wing Tuesday is the only day the cost is ok, although I wouldn't say great. The wings are a bit meater then the early .30 days. Food is really good, especially the spicy garlic wings. My only complaint is that they are inconsistent with the cheese and sauce. Sometimes they give you a good amount and sometimes they are super dry. Usually they add more for free when I complain but on a few occasions they'll charge me extra which really grinds my gears. read more
