Denied dinner at two joints as no reservation was done on a Friday night, found Buffalo Wild Wings was on the radar. Very open and very quiet, surprisingly on a Friday evening. Menu was chicken wing heavy. They do have beef burgers and chicken sandwiches, no appetizers needed, got an All American burger, not asked to my liking, so I figured it would be well done and it was. The food was pretty much excellent. I came to celebrate my birthday with my free wings and ended up getting a new honey garlic bonus. It was excellent. The restaurant was almost empty and clearly understaffed--just two servers working the entire floor and bar--but they remained friendly and attentive throughout the night, which I appreciated. Where to begin- this eas a very bad experience. I stopped in witj my son to grab a bite to eat and it was a tough one. I know to temper expectations at chain restaurants, but this may be the worst chain restaurant experience I have ever had. The good: well, nothing. I ordered cheese fries to share with my son and wings. The cheese fries were ice cold and had a yellow piece of congealed american cheese on them. They were disgusting, but thr waitress dropped them off. When I asked her to take them away she noted they were made wrong. My wings had not come with the rest of the order. I was heading to the bathroom with my son and the waitress told me she would drop my wings off. They were sauced and not what I ordered. I told her to please not drop them off and remove all of my food from the bill, but I would pay for my sons food and my drink. Another 20 minutes passed and I had to go to the bar with my son to get him water. The waitress was doing her normal disappearing act. Eventually she showed up. I asked for the bill. She mentioned she was gone for so long talking to the manager about our bill. You would think the manager would swing by. Nope. We were offered a 10% off coupon for a later visit. We declined, paid, and left. To review: the place was dirty, the service although nice was slow, often missing, and incorrect, the food was gross. I hate to hand out 1 stars but if you don't have enough staffs working it might be better to just close for the day. It took us about 45 minutes to be seated and the restaurant is pretty empty. We waited for about 10 minutes after being seated and did not see any waitors so decided to leave. We saw a door dash guy waiting over 40 minutes to pick up food as well. Simple math shows that we probably won't get food for at least another hour. If you have all the time in the world and don't mind waiting then go for it. We had the strangest experience here that I've ever had at a restaurant. Party of four. Two salads, one with chicken; one without, one order of naked tenders, one order of regular tenders. All things that are simple menu items. No apps. Salad without chicken comes out alone. Five minutes later (no exaggeration) the breaded tenders come out. More than ten minutes more go by before the naked tenders come out. At that point we are told there will be the delay on the salad with grilled chicken as though it hadn't already been 15 minutes since the first entree hit the table. We asked for it to be wrapped to go when it's ready to save time and ask for the check. The salad and check don't come out for ANOTHER ten minutes. So 25 minute gap between first and fourth entree reaching the table when all orders were the same protein - where's Gordon Ramsey when you need him?!? Stopped by last night to meet a group of friends. We picked this location cause it was central for everyone and we would come often before the pandemic. When I got there, I was the first one so I went to put our name in. The hostess' informed us they were severely short staffed and didn't know how long the wait would be so I said that was fine since that's becoming the norm. Other people came in and walked out when they were told the same. After about 15 minutes, the rest of our group started to arrive and her attitude changed. She proceeded to yell at us saying her manager won't let her seat us and can't guarantee we'd be served tonight. There was no reason to change her demeanor but my guess is the manager probably yelled at her to get rid of us, so she took it out on us. When someone called for takeout, another kid answered the phone and his response was to laugh and say yeah good luck takeout will be like 2 hours and hung up. I understand there are shortages everywhere but it makes no sense to me that you stayed open to tell customers it would be near impossible to serve them and then treat them so poorly for trying to give you business. While we would've been disappointed if they put a sign up saying they closed due to staffing, it would've been preferred instead of having this experience. F*ck this place, we walked in at 11 right when the place opened and we're the second people to sit down, at the time it was only us (party of 3) and 2 other parties sitting in the establishment, we sat for about 5 minutes as the bartender(the only waiter) took the order of a guy who had just walked into the bar, then she proceeded to take the orders of everyone else who walked into the restaurant besides us, then finally we told the manager the bartender still hasn't taken our order and he took our order for us. I 100% understand staffing/food shortages as I work in retail and have several friends and family in retail or the service industry, so that is not my complaint as I was prepared to wait and give a little extra patience when i placed my to-go order. A 50% off (up to $15) offer pushed me to order and I now see why I just pass this place. I question why they were even given to me as the quality was just horrible, but I assume rushing and under-staffed caused this as the time to make a new batches was not available. I wouldn't recommend making this your favorite place to visit because I thought it was my favorite place to visit but that changed tonight. An employees attitude was the main reason. I've been going to this spot every other Friday Saturday or Sunday for Fries and some Red Wine. It's what I love so it's what I get. I get to BWW at 11:06pm. The place is packed per usual around this time. I wait behind a group of six guys. The serve sat them at a table. Now it was my turn. 30mins went by and a waiter a janitor a hostess and the other remaining two waiters all walked past me without asking me anything so I walked by the Bar (which was still jammed) to get their attention but to no avail. So I walked back to the the entrance area, stood for a little longer to watch some sports and still no EMPLOYEE GREETED ME. So I finally sat myself and I decided I would call BWW so I did call BWW. I called and when the employee answered I told the employee to hold on as I walked to the front and told the employee,"hello. That's me on the phone and I only called because I haven't got any service." The employee said that they were backed up. Yet in all actually the employees their were in the back just hanging back. There was only three food orders that one waiter brought patrons while I was there. The employee stated to me that I have to sit in the waiting area to wait to be seated. This same employee saw me when I entered behind the group of 6 guys. This same employee saw me standing up watching the TV's by the entrance. This same employee saw me walk over by the Bar. This same employee watches me watch her coworkers past me. This same employee did nothing to make sure my visit to BUFFALO WILD WINGS was a VISIT TO BUFFALO WILD WINGS. I just think from now on I'll Door dash my Fries and my Wine. I must admit, it does not feel good to watch people treat you like they know and understand they themselves don't want to be treated. I learned that I have some of the world's best patience and some of the world's best manners. And to the employee that told me that I have to get up a sit in a waiting chair after you saw me standing and waiting by the entrance, it's a real life blessing you made it this far without doing your job. I arrived on time to pick up my takeout order, which had been submitted 57 minutes before. It was not ready, even though the restaurant was half full. After a few minutes someone asked my name but didn't come back to let me know the status of my order. A few minutes later, someone else asked my name and, again, did not report back. My order finally arrived almost 15 minutes late and was delivered by a third person, who didn't apologize for the delay. In the car, I put my hand on top of the food containers, only one of which was warm. Home is 10 minutes away and despite being in a heated car, only the onion rings were remotely warm and they were lukewarm. The boneless wings were literally cold to the touch in the center. The chicken sandwich was barely lukewarm at the center and cooling/cold at edges. While the taste of the food was good, this is the second time we've ordered and had to wait more than 10 minutes after pickup time AND had cold food. The first few times the service was extremely slow and the orders usually were incorrect. As an ex food service worker, I am always extra understanding as I could see they had the same two workers every time we came in. Obviously they are understaffed which is an issue management should handle. But after the sixth bad experience at this BBWs, I knew I needed to take a stand. My friend and I were the only two people in the restaurant and we waited 20 minutes for our drinks and then another 20 minutes for our wings to come out. My wings were cold. I always enjoy going to "B-dubs" and I'm a little biased because of my wing obsession. I've never had any huge issues with the Mansfield, MA one and will just enjoy my wings and celery, hehe. I went here for a night time munch around 10:30 pm on a Saturday and it was a pretty chill scene. I recommend the chipotle dry rub, mango habanero (if you like spicy), and the garlic parmesan (really cheesy). If you want dessert, you NEED to get the dessert nachos (cheesecake bites on cinnamon tortillas and vanilla icecream). The dessert nachos are insane, and my 2 friends and I finished it within 5 minutes. Here is a review for the traditional wings we ordered last night: Garlic Parmesan - Dosed with A LOT of parmesan. I enjoy the cheesiness but some don't. Chipotle Bbq Dry Rub - good but nothing special. No flavor that really makes bursts in your mouth. Barely spicy Desert Heat Dry Rub - a little spicy but tastier than the chipotle bbq. Mango Habanero - My favorite and very spicy. You really taste the mango and the habanero. Pretty zesty to make the spiciness fun and flavorful. Bourbon Honey Mustard - Barely any bourbon and mostly honey mustard. Wasn't a big fan because wings and honey mustard aren't the best pair. Buffalo - Better buffalo wings than most places I've tried. They put some creamy and sweeter ingredient in so its not just straight up "Frank's Red Hot" sauce. Overall, the wings were meaty, filling, and solid. They also give you a ton of celery and carrots and more if you ask. I love eating celery after each wing in order to fully enjoy all the flavors. One tip is to confirm your order with the waitress because she mistakenly gave us buffalo sauce instead of buffalo dry rub. But we ordered a lot of flavors so it can get confusing. read more
