I came here with my two sons on a Friday evening a couple weeks ago. It was busy, but not extremely so. We were seated pretty immediately, so that was good. I'm not a frequent of this place, so I couldn't believe some of the prices. A combo with 12 wings and fries for freaking $25? Outrageous in my opinion, but that's what both of my sons got. I ordered a chicken sandwich and we ordered mozzarella cheese sticks as an appetizer. We literally waited about 30 minutes just for the appetizer. It was about 45 minutes for the food. My sandwich was good, but both of my sons got lukewarm wings, with the sauce all absorbed, like it had been sitting there for a while before it was brought out. From the time we sat until the time we were done eating, our server (I believe her name was Ashley) only appeared to bring the food. No checking on us, no drink refills. Sitting there eating hot Buffalo wings, it would've been nice to have something to drink. By the time I was done eating, I was more than ready to pay the bill and get the hell out of there. Since our server was practically invisible, I had to get up to ask the host to get our tab. She said that could only come from our server. I let her know I haven't seen her for a while, so she offered to get management. I wish she would've, but instead she sent our server with the check. For a place centered around wings well the wings just ain't that good. My preference is the bone in and lately it seems the wings are lacking. My wife prefers the boneless and some of those tasted like they were pure cartilage! Others were all batter. Terrible service!!!! Our waitress never once checked on us during the visit except when we ordered. One of the members of our party ordered wings and they brought her nothing at all and then when she said something the waitress didn't even apologize then brought her a completely different order. Once she sent those back with more lack of apology the waitress never did bring her her actual order of wings nor said a word. This will be honest yet brutal, unfortunately. I frequent BWW in the Bay Area, in San Jose (2 locations off Blossom Hill and Saratoga Ave) for big games. I have yet to complain about the food or service at either location, which are VERY busy and high volume stores. I would expect problems galore but they are managed very well and run by people who get customer service. Turlock, wow. I was there today (6/25/15) with a friend (remember, just 2 of us) and it was not particularly busy for a BWW and no special events occurring. I ordered 3 sets of wings (5 pieces) and my friend ordered a sandwich with no special requests. We also started with a beer. The smallest part of the problem was the fact that the beer took about 10 minutes to hit our table. The food, however, took AT LEAST 45 minutes (seriously, I'm being nice)! Having been in food service, I know the pains we go through: chefs losing tickets, missing orders, other runners/servers grabbing wrong orders...But 45 minutes!? ......This is me being thoughtful and empathetic. Our waitress (she will remain nameless) was kind enough to check back but never gave a legit reason as to the delay. Finally, when our food met our table, the order was incorrect. It was actually a good mistake, they made an extra sandwich which we declined because it wasn't what we ordered. A manager or captain never came by to check on us or offer any assistance. Captains' (white jersey folk) only REAL role is to ensure each table in their section is pleased and needs are met (they also generate raffles, games, birthdays, etc). Nothing. The experience was dismal. The redeeming work was when our waitress apologized and charged us $3.11 for our meal, offered us another beer, which I declined because I wasn't there for a hand out. Walking back to the front, as we were leaving, I was met by a dead cockroach on the ground. I glanced quietly at a server who was adjusting TVs from their control box and whispered gently while pointing down at what seemed to be an early and unwanted death, "y'all might wanna hide that!" We tipped our waitress $10 because we have a heart and people make mistakes. I point my finger towards management who had walked by our section multiple times and never even made eye contact or smiled at us. Dude, you're in customer service!
