Delicious Mexican food! Along with endless sides and salsas from the salsa bar! It is a great spot, the best restaurant in Denair, however the atmosphere and service could be improved. We were allowed to choose where we wanted to sit, but then did not receive menus for about 5 minutes to the point where I looked it up on my phone. Apart from these two, our server was efficient and kind once she got to us. One thing I found hilarious was watching archery tag on of there TVs. They also do have restaurant prices versus a taco truck, but it is most definitely worth trying and do not forget to hit the salsa bar! read more

Nice place in downtown denair. Converted bank building but really nice atmosphere. Good variety, including some really good dishes. The surf and turf burrito is a standout. Large salsa bar - many choices, would be cool if they had a card that said what each is, but guessing is pretty fun as well I guess. Prices are a bit firm, but worth it for the quality. First time being here... Since I now live out of state. My family loves the fish tacos, so I had to give it a try. They were soooo delicious! We also had some chips and salsa, as well as bean dip. We were lucky to get there before there was a line out the door of people waiting for a table. You can tell the owner wants everyone to sit, eat and drink. He would move available tables from across the restaurant to let big families sit together. The line out the door was insane. One complaint... The service. I felt like it took a while to be greeted. Luckily, our server finally came and told us it was happy hour. So, of course we got margaritas. However, our server never came and asked if we'd like another or anything else to go with our meal. She was sweet and got our order in before bigger parties, but we shouldn't have to hunt someone down for another drink. Took a while to get our check, for her to pick it up and a little longer to get it back. She wasn't the only server that was MIA, the other server was also missing for a good part of time. This would help get people in and out because clearly people want to eat there. Maybe make it a max of a certain time limit to be there because if I had to wait in line for a table then wait for service, I'd be a unhappy camper. read more

Finally, a chorizo enchilada in Stanislaus County!!! I hit the jackpot! Hey, I've heard good stuff about Don Titos and my wife, and I decided to give it a try. Glad we did. I had the Enchilada Mexicana plate and had chorizo enchiladas. Very good. The only bummer was I wanted to try a mix of enchiladas, but they said that they don't do that. I don't see why not? Oh well. My wife had the Chile Relleno Burrito and really liked it. I tried a taste and give it two thumbs up! The server, Elyssa, was friendly and on the ball. She did a great job with a huge smile on her face. The place is clean and the other folks were friendly also. The bartender thanked us as we left. Good job buddy! I went for happy hour on a Tuesday and got 3 tacos and a margarita! Drink was delicious, food was amazing. Service was on top of it! Now I was there during the game so it was packed and loud which is expected. Overall great place I'm definitely going again. read more

Went here tonight with some girlfriends. We had given it a mo for them to work out the kinks of being new, but they still have a lot to work out. The menu that was posted on here initially was an inaccurate menu and when we asked, they said someone needs to update it, so I'm adding that. We asked for a drink menu, but they didn't have one. They just said it's a bar, so you can basically order what you want. I ended up getting the prickly pear margarita on the rocks and a friend got the same. Our other friend got the watermelon blended. They were out of horchata and our other friend opted for pink lemonade. My friends order 3 tacos, the enchiladas mexicanas with a variety of meats, veggie burrito and I ordered the 3 item combo with Chile relleno, cheese enchilada and a fish taco. They have a salsa bar, but it was needing to be restocked and we asked them. Most of the salsas were spicy, which is fine by me but not for all of our group. Waitress came and asked if we ever got our drinks, which we hadn't and she went and checked. She said tickets never printed, so the server wrote it down and submitted. Both prickly pear margaritas arrived blended, when should be on rocks. They fixed it when I flagged her down. When my food arrived, my Chile relleno was supposed to be green sauce, but it was red and I decided to just deal with it. My friends pastor was really burnt. The 3 tacos order, they were out of the meats she wanted and didn't tell her until our food arrived, so she had to change her order to a quesadilla, no salsa but it arrived with salsa and had to be redone. Then told her one of the tacos would be out because it was actually available. It never came, but was on the bill at the end. We asked that the bill be split and instead of splitting it by what was ordered by who, she came back and just had divided the total 4 ways. I've never had anyone do it that way before and my friend said she didn't order any alcohol and didn't want to have to pay for someone else's. It took at least 2 people to finally split our bill after some time. Burnt fajitas came out of the kitchen and smoked up our section of the restaurant and a couple of us choked on it. Even a waitress made a comment to us. While my drink and food tasted good, the service was spotty and the attention to detail was lacking. Maybe I'll try it again after some time and they have things running more smoothly. read more

Stupid. I had a large gathering and wanted to show off the local Mexican food joint to family. I tried to order over the phone and they said I had to use door dash. This is the second time I've had problems. First time I walked in to place an order to go and the waitress was drinking with the locals. This time I call to save the restaurant money so they don't have to pay door dash. Caesar if you're reading this you need to get this sorted out. Tonight was my first time at Don Tito's and I know I'll be back. To be honest, with so many choices for Mexican food in the county, it's tough to narrow down the top 5. Three and a half stars! Have tried this place twice (both times with 4 or more people) to try and give a fair review. The first visit wasn't impressive. I got a regular surf and turf burrito and others got a variety of tacos. All of us agreed that the food was good, not great. We did like the self-serve condiment station, but the little plastic holders are too small to dip a chip in, so that was concerning. I felt the size of my burrito wasn't worth the cost. A couple of us used the phrase "upscale taco truck" when describing our visit. Not wanting to base a review on just one visit, a group of us returned and ordered different dishes. One member of our party said he got a shrimp quesadilla on his last visit and wasn't impressed at all, so we all had concerns heading there again. However, the second time around was more impressive. I got chili verde and it was very good. Asada fajitas and enchiladas also got high marks as well. My son got a surf and turf burrito, but ordered it "wet" with red sauce. It looked bigger than the plain one I got prior. He said it was very good. The condiment station containers are still too small and the service at times is hit and miss. They do have a full bar and the beer is ice cold, so that is a plus. Overall this ranks as an above average place. It honestly depends on what dish you order. I recommend getting things that you can't get at a taco truck! Another decent Mexican restaurant in the area is always a good thing. Room for improvement, which hopefully happens as the are open longer. read more

Just didn't like the flavors. However I tried my daughter's taquitos and they were amazing. My other daughter loved her burrito. The service was just ok. Not rude but not really friendly. The inside is very nice and very clean but I spent a lot of time fighting off some aggressive flies which didn't really make it enjoyable. I will try it again. Probably to go. My husband had enchiladas, I guess that's what they were, looked like a quesadilla with sauce over it. The rest of our party weren't impressed either.
