Buffalo Wild Wings has become one of my favorite chain restaurants to visit. I am addicted to their traditional wings and fried pickles, plus all the incentives they give through their app. This was my first time visiting the Valparaiso location since I just moved to Valparaiso from Alabama. The location I think is unique because it is downtown and shares a building. The building is shaped weird in my opinion but the dining room and bar area seems to be huge. There are TVs everywhere like you would expect. Tonight though, I came because I was given a Dirty Tots through the B-dubs rewards app. The Dirty Tots had brisket, queso, smoky adobo sauce, and jalepenos on top. The brisket was good and tender. I felt like there wasn't hardly any sauce on top so I asked my waitress, Carolann, for some Honey BBQ. By the way, she was a wonderful server. Very easy to talk to and checked on me in a timely manner. And receives the highest mark for any server at a Buffalo Wild Wings by not charging me extra for sauce requests. I had 15 traditional wings with Mango Habanero (has definitely moved up my chart of flavors), Sweet BBQ, and Jammin Jalepeno, my favorite. I ordered them all extra wet and Valparaiso's Buffalo Wild Wings came through for me. They got it right! I can't tell you how many Buffalo Wild Wings I have been to in the past and asked for my wings to be extra wet...and when they come out, they have as little sauce as possible. My only disappointment with this location though is very common for an Alabama guy living in the state of Indiana....no sweet tea! Come on! Buffalo Wild Wings in the South has excellent sweet tea and plus it helps calm the heat, unlike water. This is a problem that has to be worked out for me. Even though I was disappointed with no sweet tea, (why does the North neglect themselves from one of God's greatest creations?) I got an order of the traditional wings with medium sauce. They were really good. Had a side of fries which were better than I expected coming from a wings place. Their nachos and salsa were lacking as the chips were hard and the salsa tasted oddly like chili. We also had some tasty fried pickles. I had a Bloody Mary which was perfectly spiced with a row of olives on top and a stalk of celery. I also had to try the Black Cherry Mojito everyone talks about. It was pretty good. Tasted like a Bomb Pop to me. The place was busy, but tables are spread out in a way you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Worst part was our waitress. She was friendly, but she was nearly impossible to get her to come to the table to take our order, do refills, etc. We also saw her sitting at tables with customers as she took orders. We were not greeted when we walked in and stood around for 10 minutes before a waiter walked up to tell the people ahead of us they were "about to be seated in one minute". It took them another 10 minutes to seat them with 3+ tables open the entire time. We waited 20 minutes with open tables before walking out. They didn't even ask if we wanted to sit in the extremely empty bar section either. (We are both overage.) Very disappointed. read more

If you are a bartender and I ask for a pint of Blue Moon I think you should what glass a pint is. Not here. I had to explain what the difference was between the size glasses. Poor service for a empty bar. The food now is gotten really bad. The size of a chicken sandwich is smaller and the fries were cut thin and a very small amount like enough to fit in the palm of your hand. My friends and I used to be regular customers at BDubs, over the summer. We would come here to get strictly one basket of fries and water for everyone. Usually, we do that without trouble, but this time there seemed to be a problem. The waitress, even though it's not her fault, told us that we are not allowed to get only a basket of fries and water. I was devastated! She said each of us had to get our own meal. How ridiculous is that! I had to buy three baskets of fries for no reason whatsoever. I don't think I'll be coming back for a while. I was excited to see a BWW in Valpo, so I stopped in here for lunch because I had a BWW gift card. Sorry I did. The cheese curds were overcooked and while the SW ranch dipping sauce was good, there wasn't very much of it and you had to buy extra sauce. We got the boneless wings, as it was BOGO. We had 10 Asian Zing and 10 Buffalo. The "wings" were overbreaded and undercooked - very mushy and barely safe to eat. The service was also poorat best. We ate at the bar and the bartender was spending more time gossiping with her friend and talking about how muh she hated her job, and omplaining about not being able to get more government benefts so she could stay home. She was also loudly complaining about her b/f sex skills and the size of his pee pee. NOT what I want to hear when at lunch with my 22-year-old dauhgter. We had to ask 3 times for extra ranch, as we got two tiny cups for 20 wings. Turns out they charge for that, too!! We celebrated a birthday yesterday with a party of 8 that included a toddler. The food was typical bar food but our young server, Mason, was outstanding. He was attentive, kind and very responsive. I'm surprised with the negative reviews. I really like this place. I meet up with my friends here almost every time I'm in town. Parking is easy across the street, they have good specials, and everyone seems pretty nice that works there. They always seem pretty busy so I'm guessing that the negative comments don't really reflect on the general opinion. My favorite part about this place is how they've integrated themselves into Downtown Valpo. They fit in perfectly with the facade of downtown and I really appreciate that. The newer stores all seem to be really obnoxious in their design. (The TVs could use some updating.) read more

Bartender is terrible! Went here last night to watch the ufc fight which was nice that they aired it but should have just stayed home and ordered the fight myself. Didn't order food, just "mixed drinks". Ordered doubles since the place was busy and didn't know what to expect with the service. Had three double vodka (kettle one)and cranberry which would have been 6 drinks and there was no vodka in any of them. My BF should have had to carry me home but instead I walked out the same way I walked in. Strong believer of don't complain to people who handle your food or drinks and didn't want to ruin the evening so just kept my mouth shut at the time. I'll give it the middle of the road rating, for my being elderly, finding a close parking spot in vibrant downtown Valpo, is not easy. It's not like I haven't experienced that at other restaurants on a busy Saturday night, but for that I will subtract one star. The main reason for mediocre response is, upon receiving our food order, in a reasonable amount of time, my brisket sandwich was cold. Not even a hint of warm. Others in our party, also stated that there food was not warm. The server, who gave us exceptional service, graciously took my cold sandwich and replaced it with a new hot sandwich. First ingredient in all of their signature sauces is high fructose corn syrup....food is never hot especially takeout. So when you pick up your food they open every box of food to let the heat out and whatever is floating around land on your food. I hate to sound like a broken record, honestly I hate to be "negative," but I experienced an almost deja-vu like experience to the overwhelming majority of reviews on here. My GF and I went on a Friday night and the older, historic building makes it one of the more unique and interesting BW3 atmospheres I've ever been to. In addition, every worker we encountered was cordial at the worst, and most were very, very friendly. No one was rude, mean, impolite, or exhibited any other common negative attitude that usually incites one to sign onto Yelp at 11:00 p.m. and wax negative on an establishment. However, as nice as the staff was, there comes a point when...the waitress doesn't know the drink you order existed, the second round of drinks takes a half an hour to come out, the ketchup bottle on the table was empty, they didn't give you any napkins, and the wings you ordered were the wrong sauce and ice cold - because the food didn't show up for an hour after you ordered it - when you just have to say, it was a bad experience. Our waitress, again, was never negative. However, I did notice her walk out of the bathroom, look at the large dining room we were situated in, shake her hands in frustration at the perceived "chaos" of a halfway packed room, and retreat to the other large dining room she was most likely working in. What I can take from this...the lack of organization; VERY friendly, but slow service; the basic necessities (ketchup, napkins, etc.) at the table being neglected; and the cold food and lack of attention to it and our table, is that there appears to be something wrong in the management of this place. Mixed feelings about this place. I've been there a few times. The regular food was fine....wings, burgers, fries, etc. When I ordered a side salad, what did I get? I got a couple of pieces of garnish looking lettuce with a slice of tomato on it served in a tiny paper container. It looked exactly like what comes on the side of when you order a burger and a very tiny portion as well. So disappointed with that. I got the chocolate cake, and it was super dry. If you stick with the more solid food, you may think it's fine. Other than that, the location was clean. The workers were friendly. The tv reception was clear. Have been coming to Bdubs Valpo for a while now (a few years) and I consistently get great service and the food never disappoints. I typically sit at the bar for beers and wings and bartender Nicole always greets me with a friendly welcome. Her great personality and service is one of the biggest reasons I keep cooking back. She knows the right things to recommend (including the newer beers) and always provides quick and attentive service even during busy times. Food always comes out right and quick. The place is spacious but sectioned off well. Good location and close to plenty of other places too see. Highly recommended!! read more

Because most restaurants and bars are closed because of Covid-19 and are only doing Carry-out and delivery, I decided to order out all week to support local places so local people can keep jobs. Tonight was B-dubs. I ordered through Uber Eats and apparently their menu is not updated on there which I had no way of knowing. We had less wings than we were charged for. We didnt recieve our appetizer at all and our potato wedges didnt have cheese like we ordered. The real issue was when I called B-dubs to ask about it I was told if I drove up to their place they would give me credit. So because of their error I would have to drive up to their restaurant to get credit while for tonight's dinner we dont have enough food. I told them I won't be ordering from them again. read more

Considering how sports bar "like" the place is, it really doesn't feel like one, even with the gigantic projection screens. Perhaps the TV's were more noticeable because we sat near the bar. As for customers, the place was considerably empty, although it was a weekday afternoon and in Indiana (not that I have anything against Indiana).
