[[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm totally in love with the whole concept of this spot. Packed with patriotism and history.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is super awesome as well. Went with a Chica - my work bestie. And had the best time. I ordered the Brick Oven Baked Pretzels that came with melted cheese. So good. And my friend ordered the IR's Original Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The fries that came with that... just yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms were clean and there is a lot for parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great family restaurant and excellent food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have tried something new every time we have been here! Tonight had pizza and it was very good. Our server Nick was excellent and very quick. Food came out really quick as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a loud atmosphere this evening but we could still hear each other.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back!

Nacos! This plate was piled nearly a foot tall!

We packed the bar after my Uncle's funeral this week (Thursday 22nd) as it is right near the cemetery. Our waitress/bartender was an absolute gem but I failed to get her name. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The heat had gone out but they had small heaters placed around which helped tremendously.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food here was really good and the place was pretty full. Drinks were good, appetizers were huge! Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. We would definitely stop here again when in the area.

Industrial Revolution is one of our favorite usual restaurants. The food is always excellent. The weekly specials always offer up great food and desserts. We especially love burger month in May and anytime there is a peanut butter cookie skillet on special. Our favorites include Revolution Pizza, chicken fried chicken, beef stroganoff, revolution pizza burger, pot roast, pot roast pot pie, parmesan burger - the list could just go on. Service is always spectacular. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can never go wrong with the decor - my favorite picture is Lunch atop a skyscraper which is all over the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus the train is always great to see.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

WIN 354! I defeated the Industrial Revolution Eatery & Grille IR 5 lb Challenge Burger in Valparaiso, Indiana. Contestants have 1 hour to clear their plate. I finished the challenge in 39:28. For winning, I received the $75 meal for free, a tshirt, & a spot on the wall of fame. I've known about this challenge for years, so I was excited to finally take it on! The challenge consists of one pound of Mom's Famous Double Shift Pot Roast layered between four 1 pound burger patties with American cheese, on an IR bun. I chose sweet potato fries as my required side. You can also order garlic potato wedges. I've heard great things about this challenge from my friends that have taken on the challenge. The pot roast was fantastic. I don't think I've attempted any previous challenges with pot roast in them.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a killer bar and restaurant. The industrial design is like nothing I've ever seen before. It harkens you back to the early industrial era.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The TV play old silent movies along with the History Channel of back in the early years of steel and automotive industries. There even are TVs in their restrooms and a miniature train running overhead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] OK to their food, the meatloaf I had was spectacular! Better than I can make with some of the best mashed potatoes with vegetables of the day which was sweet corn. My wife's entree was pot roast Mac and cheese. Her opinion was it was delicious with plenty of cheese and would order it again. The other entree was leafy spinach with diced chicken and I was told it was fantastic! We all raved about how much flavor each had with bottomless soft drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So, if you're in Valpo stop and enjoy the ambiance and the food and drinks. They are one of the finest bar and restaurants around this area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This restaurant pays great tribute to merica and our phenomenal tenacity to strive for great engineering success !!! Great bar Great food Great atmosphere. Really really cool bar!!! A little dark inside. Pretzel sticks are very good with hot beer cheese jalapeño dipping sauce!! Cheese curdes!!!! Tasty Nachos are good! The burger w pot roast cheese and horseradish sauce is good however it was a little dry and the horseradish sauce could've been hotter. The fries are da bomb. Very very good We sat down and the server and Mgr both told us that it would be a little slow in getting our food out and orders filled since they were understaffed and the nine of us appreciated that The restaurant was packed and if I lived here I would frequent this establishment on a regular basis. Keep up the good work!!!

Daily special pineapple coconut sangria. It was spectacular!

Spectacular place. Incredible design, service was super fast, good and drinks were great. Beware of the appetizers, though: they come out fast and if you're not careful you will not have enough room for the half-pound burgers and potato wedges. Ordered the molten cheese dip (comes with tons of red, corn, and blue tortilla chips) and the baked pretzels. Both were served almost immediately and the pretzels (which were insanely good) had to have just come out of the oven. Might be the best ever. The signature Industrial Burger was cooked perfectly. And the bacon on the Morning Shift Burger couldn't have been more perfect. Both were incredible. But the star of the show was the Mom's Famous Double Shift Pot Roast. Trust me, even if your mom is a pro, hers doesn't compare to mashed potatoes and sliced vegetables were real good too...but the pot roast is worth driving 300 miles to eat.

Food here is good and reasonable, there's a good variety. We ate there twice while traveling and we had different items and we were not disappointed with what we had. Service was great both times that we went, friendly and helpful people. Love the vibe! Very industrial atmosphere, proudly American!

Got a hell if a burger menu here and that's all I need to know. My go to is the stuffed bacon burger with garlic wedges.

    Is this restaurant busy?

It's got a nice environment. Went there in a Saturday and it was busy but not bad. The bar had plenty of seating and the wait for a table was about 5 minutes.

Was not sure what to prefer but definitely wanted to try a martini! Had the watermelon martini and it did not disappoint! Had a salad for dinner and hub had the Ruben. Michelle our server was very good and gave suggestions for the menu. They are open on Monday nights! The ambiance is ok with a bar over 21 with high tops and a family dining area with tables and booths. Food was good and it was pleasantly quiet, but was a Monday evening. We'll come back to try other items on the menu.

We had to occasionally wait to ask for items such as plates for the appetizers. DRINKS- Old, sour, flat beer. Maybe the keg lines need to get cleaned out? Maybe the beer is just old? I don't know what it is but it just didn't taste right on tap or even in the can. Had a pungent with no carbonation taste to it. At least my mom liked her red wine. FOOD- Overall just alright and average. Seems to be a hit or miss. Calamari- Rubbery and hard to chew. I think it was over cooked Oysters Rockefeller- Tasted like a puke ball. There was only 5 of them. I couldn't even taste the Oysters as it was overwhelmed by other flavors. Tasted like buttery breadcrumbs. Chicken Noodle soup- Was told it is the "best" in Porter County. I got a cup. It was good but only half way filled. I think it needed more chicken. Chicken Parmesan- Sauce could have been better. Pasta was good Sausage and Mushroom Pizza- Thick raw crust on the bottom! Doughy and frozen pizza quality. The pizza looked good on the top but the crust on the bottom tasted raw and mushy. My brother said it was worse the a veggie lasagna from Gordon Food Service which we never even finished eating all of it. PRICE- Over priced for a "fancy" higher class restaurant. The bill was $95 for 2 appetizers, 2 entries and 4 beers and 2 glass of wine. How can this be a scratch kitchen with such a wide and diversified menu?
