Delicious burger and great, crispy fries
    Dot K.

We came here for dinner on a Friday evening and enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Everything was cooked as ordered and tasty. Our server, Shea, was very attentive and pleasant. The salad had candied walnuts and apricots, which were very tasty. The fries were crispy, and there was vinegar on the table which was an added plus. The burger was so good and cooked perfectly.

Very good atmosphere. The food was fantastic. Stuffed banana peppers are possibly the best I have had. Burgers were huge and tasted great. Daughter said BOW was very good, and she's a picky eater. Fries were spot on as well. Not at all a fan of the Cole slaw, too dry. Waitress was swamped. Only server in the whole restaurant and the bartender too. Definitely could have used another body. She was doing a great job though. I'm definitely gonna be hitting this place up more often. I thought prices were amazing on the lunch menu. Wings were the only thing on the menu that seemed a bit high. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a reasonable price!

Met up with some friends here, the place was not busy at all. The decor is basic pub type décor. Our server was friendly and adept. 3 of us ordered the sand thing...a shrimp and flank steak salad which was on the special menu. It had tender flank steak and grilled shrimp served over a bed of fresh spinach. There was crumbled blue cheese sprinkled on, slices of cucumber and cherry tomatoes accompanied it as well . The salad was served with a vinegar that was tasty... They even accommodated our requests for very rare steak... this salad scored big with is! Our fourth ordered the French dip sandwich which came with crispy, coated fries... it was pretty standard and she enjoyed her meal. It wasn't stand out fantastic.... I noticed on the menu that chicken wings were not priced but were labeled "market price" as if it was some sort of delicacy... I mean well it is a delicacy in Buffalo however, they were charging $17 for ten wings... pass I would recommend for standard pub fare and the special we ordered was special!

If Buffalo was a restaurant, this would be it! All the local staples are on the menu - wings, pizza, beef on weck... Great atmosphere for watching a Bills game with a few beers and a few friends. Food is solid, there is a ton of space inside and the service is friendly. A nice spot for a bite and a bev in OP, for sure.

Came here again ! Food once again was fantastic. Got the chicken wing dip and brisket mac and cheese. I took some new pics. I literally brought someone here just to try the chicken wing dip! It's that good! It comes in a big bread bowl ! I think the chips are homemade too - which makes a huge difference. Mac and cheese was super creamy and the brisket on it was tender and flavorful. It was a huge plate. I felt bad for the female bartender- there were a bunch of drunk guys playing darts (40-50 year olds) they kept bugging the young waitress and hitting on her. Other than that- I love this place and cant wait to try more of their food!

I want to give this place four stars but feel that may be premature. They have a large building, so if the parking lot seems packed, there is still probably a table for you somewhere inside. We came inside and there was one man playing live music on a guitar, on a Sunday afternoon, and it was so loud we could hear it as we walked up TO the building. We entered and two fast waitresses hustled by saying they would be right with us. Less than 30 seconds later, one came to us and wanted to seat us in the area of the loud music (we had a party of four). We asked if we could be seated on the "quieter side" and not a problem. Once we sat, the music was so loud you couldn't talk without yelling at each other. The problem is the place has a flat, metal ceiling that the sound just bounces off of and it was painful until we heard he was almost done. Perhaps this should be something Management should look into fixing...? The menu is big with great salads, burgers, Wraps, fun appetizers and entrees with a few specials to boot. All in all, everyone enjoyed their meal, with a GREAT server. I want to go back to try different food and have the ability to talk to my friends.

The apps were all real good but so filling we barely touched our meal. I ordered off the summer menu, Yellowstone campfire plate. It came with beef brisket, bbq chicken, baked beans, Mac& cheese and French fries. What I nibbled on was really good but unfortunately in all the confusion never took the leftovers. Everyone else mostly got salads and the summer quesadillas. We just ordered too much food for lunch.

Food: 0/10 Alright this is the third time I've come to this location. I'm trying to be fair but the bad food is consistent. For instance tonight I got the "campfire" plate which was fries, Mac and cheese, chicken, and brisket. Fries? Too hot to eat first. Mac and cheese? Literally colder than room temp and DRY! No cheese...like cold dry noodles? The brisket was slimy and small portion sized, the chicken was fine I guess. Everything else was so gross though by the time I got to the chicken I didn't care. I've come every time with my family of 4, and all 3 experiences were the same. I wish the food was anything but what it is because I'd love to come back here. I'll never recommend it and I'm actually just going to give away my $100 gift card to anyone who wants to dare to eat here.

Next time we all ordered burgers, and I had the Flying Byrd which was served with a side of sweet potato fries, and honey. I was a little hesitant after reading several reviews that mentioned poor customer service, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Thankfully, our experience was much different. Our server was excellent. She was attentive, patient, and even offered drink samples when we were unsure what to order. For appetizers, I ordered the pizza flight featuring the stuffed banana pepper, stinger, and chicken spinach pizzas. The stuffed banana pepper wasn't really my favorite, but the stinger was absolutely delicious. The chicken spinach was good as well. While everything was enjoyable, nothing really wowed me. I also tried the French onion soup, which was flavorful, though I wasn't a fan of the heavy amount of Parmesan cheese on top. A friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and found them to be dry and overcooked. She ended up asking for extra sauce to help with the flavor and texture. Overall, I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience the pizza flights and see what Butera's had to offer. The service was great and the food was decent, but it wasn't memorable enough to bring me back for another visit.

About 10 minutes later, only three more meals arrived, leaving one person still without dinner. Once again, we had to ask for the final meal to be brought out. No one at the table should have to eat at different times because of such poor coordination. The food itself was also underwhelming. The steak fajitas were especially disappointing--they consisted of a few somewhat tough pieces of steak with no peppers or onions, which are basic ingredients for fajitas. The steak hoagie was similarly sparse, containing mostly shaved steak with very few vegetables. To make matters worse, the fries served with the meals were cold. Our appetizer was also mishandled. The charcuterie board arrived with salami, cream cheese, and cheese, but no bread or crackers. We had to ask for those to be brought out. We also had to request small plates because none were provided. Finally, throughout the meal, dirty dishes--including our appetizer plates--were never cleared from the table, leaving us surrounded by stacks of dishes until we were finished. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the disorganized service, multiple forgotten items, cold food, and lack of attention to basic hospitality, we expected much better. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back.

That said, I did not find it overly loud, just loud enough where you had to raise your voice slightly. Enough about that. Johnson's Landing has a Lenten fish fry special, $20 for a full fish fry with sides, and this includes one of their specialty beers. This is a good deal to get a craft beer included with your fish fry. I actually ordered it to go and enjoyed the beer while waiting for the fish to take out. It was a very solid fish dinner, the batter was crispy, not oily. The fish was fresh, all of the sides were good, even the rye bread was a nice hearty thick cut of rye. The mac salad featured tuna, which I do like. And the fries were hot and tasty. The fish itself was not huge but was big enough for us. Every component of the fish fry dinner was on point. The barmaid was efficient and friendly, I did not have to wait. My only complaint is that they do not list beer prices on their menu, which was fine this time since it was included with the meal, but would prevent me from enjoying a stop on the way home for a beer or two. I think it is a sneaky practice, but strangely I do note prices on their website, and guess what? All draft beers are $8 including Labatt Blue Light, unless the website is now outdated. ($8 for Labatt's!! Holy Moly!) I can see why it is not on the printed menu. I really don't like when there is not full price transparency, thus four stars instead of five. However I wholeheartedly endorse the value and quality of the Lenten fish fry special.
