The food was great. I had the Buffalo style tenders. They could be a bit more spicy, but they were delicious as is. My fries and tenders were fresh. The tenders had a great crunch. The fries weren't soggy. The service was great and very attentive. This isn't Tully's fault, but there was a table with loud people not far from us that had a couple vulgar mouthed men. Tully's is our go-to for watching sporting events that we can't get on television for free at home. We're a basketball family, and since Buffalo is sans-NBA, we follow the Cavs. (Yeah, Toronto is closer, but we like to keep it domestic; and yeah, the Knicks are New York's team, but IMHO Cleveland as a city is much more like Buffalo than NYC, so sue me. :-P) Tully's menu is fairly limited for a vegetarian. I usually try to eat low-carb too, but when coming to Tully's to watch a game, there is not much to offer that is both low-carb and vegetarian. And almost nothing vegan, so we generally don't bring our vegan daughter here. If I'm going low-carb vegetarian, the Tully's Tender salad with no chicken and a side of guac is about the best I can do. If I'm loosening the belt on carbs, I like the vegetarian quesadilla or the baked ziti. And if I'm being really generous with my carb intake, Tully's desserts are some of my favorite chain restaurant desserts. Tully's in-house-homemade peanut butter pie IS SUBLIME! It's a creamy slab pie with a chocolate oreo-cookie-like crust . And for just over $7, you get a HUGE piece, a large rectangle that can easily be shared. Or, (if you love peanut butter pie as much as I do), not shared. ;-) Also good on the dessert menu is the cookie monster sundaes, which are warm cookies with ice cream and warm sauce, and also a huge shareable portion for just over seven bucks. When you're at Tully's to watch a game, once you are seated just ask your server to turn the channel of whatever TV is nearby to the game you want on. So far we haven't had any issues with having our game of choice flipped on--besides the Cav's rocky playoff performance so far. :-( But we're hoping our next game at home starts the turnaround towards a series victory--we'll be at Tully's to watch! :-D read more

Man ... the food here keeps letting me down. I only come about once a year to see if it gets better but I'm at the point where I'm just going to cross it off the list. I want to say ... I never have an issue with service. Not that I can recall. This evening was extremely great service in fact. I never have a problem with cleanliness either. They even service popcorn in little baskets that could easily make a mess but nope. It's the food. It sucks. I'm sorry but it sucks. Every time. This evening i had the west coast chicken sandwich with loaded potato salad. I have no complaints with the potato salad at all but the sandwich I couldn't take more than a bite. It tasted like it was cooked in a microwave ... and for me, I actually hate reheated meat with a passion (people think I'm ridiculous for it, but I think it has an awful awful taste I cannot stomache). The staff was polite enough to apologize and let me order something else so I just had the tenders. I didn't want to inconvenience anyone more than I felt that I was. My friend had the Asian tenders and he thought they were soggy. I tried some and indeed they were. Tullys is off the list for me going forward which is too bad because it's so close to my house and I love the service and casual atmosphere but i need my food to be delicious and it fails here every time unfortunately. read more

Had lunch at Tully's as part of my quest to find the best restaurant in Western New York that serves both great French Onion Soup AND great Reubens. Although there are many places that serve both, it hasn't been easy to find one place that BOTH the Soup and the Reuben knock your socks off. Now for Tully's quest entry. Both the French Onion Soup and the Reuben, although tasty fell short of making the cut. The soup broth had a good flavor but it was not served in a traditional crock. It came to the table in a wider ceramic soup bowl. The best part of a great French Onion Soup is the crusty, toasted, melted cheese topping where sliced cheese is used and is running down the sides of the crock. When questioned, an employee said they use shredded cheese and they don't leave it under the broiler too long for fear the ceramic bowl will shatter from the high heat. They admitted they have no oven proof crocks. The Reuben flavor was average. The serving size was large but unfortunately they build it wrong. They put the sauerkraut on the bottom slice of bread instead of under the top slice of bread. You guessed it, the whole bottom slice of bread was super soggy, making it almost impossible to eat with your hands. I gave this Tully's 4 stars because I have had some great food here in the past, the service is always outstanding, the portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. The deducted star was for the miss on the French Onion Soup and the Reuben. I recommend eating at this Tully's location, just not the French Onion Soup or the Reuben. read more

It is obvious that there is still a worker shortage as Tully's was not "packed", but it still took longer than usual to get our order and then, our check. I had a Mexican Chopped Salad. I enjoyed it very much. It had a good amount of chopped/shredded chicken which was nicely seasoned. There was Pico de gallo in the salad bowl and a spicy salsa on the side, along with ranch dressing. Other tasty parts of my salad: crispy Romaine and Iceberg lettuce, black beans, sweet(canned) corn, cucumber, red onions, guacamole, and shredded jack-cheddar cheese. You must eat them hot and you must get extra sauce on the side. They used to have the best chicken tenders in the world but these days the chicken tenders are hit or miss. It's a shame because they really were that good, and occasionally you can still get a gem of an order. Trust me, they were so good. The chain is from the Syracuse area as far as I can tell, and is regional. Like your mother. Anyway I still highly recommend that you come and give them a chance because they are pretty tasty but get the buffalo style and make sure you get extra buffalo sauce on the side for dipping. Place has really gone downhill of late. It's like walking into the TV section at Best Buy. Too many "Megadorks" walking around with headsets on and for crying out loud, dedicate one employee to do nothing but answer the never ending ringing telephone at the bar and do phone orders rather than rely on the bartender to do everything and maybe we could get a drink. read more

We normally don't go to chain restaurants but needed a quick / convenient family friendly lunch spot. We didn't see any popcorn, which they used to be known for, so that was slightly disappointing. Otherwise though, everything was great. The kids macaroni and cheese was a large serving, and the Buffalo chicken tenders were surprisingly really good. I ordered my food a little after 6:00 I believe. I'm not sure of the exact time. But I never received my order. I called the restaurant, then I called Grubhub. I was told it was left on a chair, but I looked out front and there was nothing there. They sent me another order, and I asked for a phone call, which I finally received. The driver told me he was looking for my apartment number outside. I told him he had to come to the front door. Finally he shows up and hands me my order. I apparently received the first order because it was cold. I'm so angry because I hurt my back three weeks ago and I'm in horrible pain. I am very disappointed with the service I received. Honestly , Tully's has been one of my favorite chain restaurants over the years for 2 reasons. 1. The free popcorn 2. Those hand battered chicken tenders. I recently ordered some of those delicious bad boys through door dash for lunch this past week, and was willing to share the love with my coworkers. They kind of remind me of the batter they use at Long John Silvers. (no longer in the area except for a location in Batavia) They offer their tenders as a dinner option, (about 7-8 pieces with fries and coleslaw) an appetizer or with Mozzarella sticks (called the Chicken and Cheese) . I opted for the dinner, sadly the fries were soggy and I'm not a coleslaw fan. But those tenders were perfect , choose to dip with their homemade honey mustard, blue cheese, wing sauce or ranch! Excellent! Love this place. I don't often come here but I had a coupon and decided to try it out. My husband and I visited for dinner on a Thursday night- there was no wait and the service was quick. We tried the buffalo chicken fries for an appetizer which were good. They are made with their famous fingers which were excellent. They had a bit too many tomatoes but it was edible. For dinner I had the cheesy chicken and broccoli bake......SOOOOO delicious! It's my favorite thing to order. My husband got the Cajun pasta and that was just okay- not his favorite. Overall Tully's is a great restaurant for date night or a family dinner. They have many menu items that are sure to please everyone. It's great for the sports enthusiast as well because they play a ton of great games and they have lots of memorabilia hung up. read more

A pleasant experience. My husband and I were in the area and I've heard several people at work talk about the chicken fingers here, so we decided to check it out. The decor is like any typical chain restaurant, I would compare it to any Applebee's or Chili's. They have a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant and a little arcade to the side with air hockey, pool, basketball, etc. A nice addition to keep the kids busy while the adults enjoy their beer. They have free popcorn as an appetizer. It was delicious, almost like movie theater popcorn! We ordered chicken fingers as the appetizer. I'm not really sure what the fuss was all about... They are a step up from typical breaded fingers. They were juicy but the buffalo tenders were disappointing as they are lightly shaken and not hot at all. I ordered the Reuben as my meal which was $10 for just the sandwich... No french fries or anything. I expected it to be amazing but I was extremely disappointed. My husband ordered the California fish tacos and wow those blew us both away. HUGE portion but it wasn't really a taco... It was like they put a fish fry in a quesadilla. It was delicious! Their chicken tenders and fries are $5.95 with a purchase of a drink, and it doesn't have to be alcoholic. The server was extremely friendly. This is a great location to check out a game or happy hour. The booths are large and there are plenty of televisions around to check out the games or any sporting events. They offer you a bowl of popcorn while you are awaiting your food and there are plenty of games to distract the children. The menu is long and there is a lot to choose from. I personally am a fan of the Asian Chicken Fingers. I have also had a great stir fry. One thing to note is it can be rather loud. If you don't like a lot of noise then please bypass this place. I get loaded fries at almost every restaurant I go to and theirs were REALLY good! It was a huge plate that we couldn't even finish, and they have half off appetizers after 9pm. I was very much surprised at how well my steak was cooked. I haven't been to Tully's in well over a year or more, and it's a MUST to get their tenders with their honey mustard sauce. Their sodas are HUGE and the atmosphere is pretty cool too. My dad does love his chain restaurants, so when we had a lunch and movie outing planned, I suggested Tully's and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I generally don't go the alcoholic beverage route before a show, so I didn't even bother checking out their offerings. I ordered the haddock fish fry sandwich, while Dad ordered baked potato soup and a tuna melt. The fish was hot and fresh, nicely crisp, and I appreciated that the tartar sauce was served on the side. Baked potato soup would have to be a total disaster for my father not to like it, but he claimed it was delicious. When they say "huge deli sandwiches", they really mean HUGE, at least in the case of the tuna melt. He took half of it home. Service is a really big deal to me, so it was a pleasant surprise to have the manager approaching each table and introducing herself. Nice touch. The hostess and our server were as friendly as could be as well. Most of the decor is baseball related (just not my thing!), but how ironic to have a framed uncut press sheet of Bandits cards on the wall next to our booth, because they were from back in the era when my husband and I were season ticket holders! read more

I cannot go any higher than a one star, because we never did eat. My wife and I went for dinner at 7:30pm and were told that the wait would be 25-30 minutes. We were asked for our phone number and told that we would be called when our table was ready. I received a text a few minutes later that gave us a link that would show you how many people are waiting ahead of us and an estimate on how much longer it would be. After about 15 minutes, I decided to check it since there were several empty tables available. The time showed that It would be another 45 minutes! So the 20-30 minutes now changed to an hour wait. We went to the front desk and asked the three girls why our time went to an hour and that there were several empty tables available. I asked if they were short staffed, and was told that the kitchen was behind on orders and that they were told from the manager not to seat any more tables until the kitchen caught up! At that point we walked out, drove down the road and had a nice meal at another restaurant, without any wait! read more

Went here Monday night after purchasing my first car with my family, as a celebration. We have a family of 6. Service was amazing, our server was amazing (I believe his name was Richard) but unfortunately everyone in our group that ordered the chicken fingers got food poisoning. It was a nice feel in the restaurant seemed very homey and would've came back if it wasn't for the food poisoning. But my whole family will not be returning. Would have left a one star but Richard was an amazing server and made the experience enjoyable! read more

I'm a fan of Tully's - I really am. However, this location didn't impress us. As a matter of fact, most of us didn't come close to finishing our meals. We come to Tully's because it's a local sports bar chain (even if it could use a major makeover) and normally better than chain spots like Buffalo Wild Wings and Jack Astor's. To give credit where it's due the service was good, but the food left us wondering if we should return. It was well below average. What did we order? We started with those "famous" chicken tenders, which were poorer than what you'd get from Chick-fil-a. The batter was super thick and consumed the chicken. In fact, you coulda eaten the batter as a meal. It was greasy, though, and had no flavor whatsoever. The world famous (they claim) honey mustard tasted like it came out of a bottle. But, the popcorn was good! We ended up eating a few baskets of it. The main entrees weren't much better. Three of us ordered the seafood combo (and the three that did are guys that eat at places like McDonald's every day). The food was more relevant to something you'd get from Red Lobster, not a local sports bar that's suppose to have fresh and tasty food. The guys struggled to stomach it - too fishy, way too much batter and not enough flavor. I tried the trusty patty melt, which was packed with grease this time, but still better than the seafood. I asked for a side of the fresh guacamole, which resembled something that you'd buy in a package at a grocery store, not made fresh as expected. They did, however, do a good job at toasting the rye. Other than the service this trip was a disappointment and I can't say that for the other locations we've been to and enjoyed. Hopefully this was just a poor night for the kitchen, but we can only report on what we experienced. And, someone please add some sugar to the lemonade. Super tart isn't good. read more
