We called the campground and unbelievably, they answered that late. Sandy agreed to stay there until we got there. Mike met us on his golf cart and toured us to 3 sites and let us pick. He then used his 30 years of mad trucking skills to get us into a tight site at dusk. He was awesome. We were in before it was completely dark. Full hookups including cable. Lovely neighbors. Pet friendly. We asked to stay 3 nights and they were able to work some magic to avoid having us move. What a stress reliever! The next morning they had a pet parade - all the dogs dressed to the nines! Fun! Thank you Sandy and Mike For taking the stress out of our last minute issue - right down to nothing!! You guys rock! We didn't use the heated pool but looked inviting (-and verified it was in fact warm!) Peeked at the activity center and laundromat- both looked good! The rv sites are sandy & are nicely sized, situated & private. Each one has a fire ring & patio table. Far enough away but close enough to Route 1 & about 15-20 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Vero Beach is close by as well. It is soothing calming & quiet here, every once in a while a plane flies over & parachuters exits the plane & you see the chutes open & colorful. There are walking trails & a boat a canoe boat launch.

Now you might think the agressive racoon is cute and cuddly animal but don't you dare try to pet him cuddle him or feed him. As a matter of fact the raccoons will show up your campsite during daylight hours but don't be fooled, this is a reconnaissance mission. Once everyone goes to bed, they come back. They revisit the sites that had the best goodies. They will open your coolers and go through your trash.

Pelican's Landing RV Resort is very well managed and extremely neat and clean--each site has a deck or pavered pad with a picnic table with an umbrella and two nice stationary adirondack chairs. They pay attention to every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We love being able to walk down to the dock with our morning coffee (and/or evening cocktails) to meet the other campers or have a nice chat with the friendly staff. And the sunrises and sunsets are amazing. Looks like there might be some good fishing from the dock and we tried out a few kayaks in the river--saw some dolphins. Awesome fun! There is a WalMart and Publix grocery store within a few miles as well as a bait shop and a great little farmer's market just a short bike ride south. Also, be sure to check out the most awesome nature trail called the Jungle Trail. It will take you to Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge which is the first National Wildlife Refuge established in the United States. We booked a pull through site, these sites are very limited but are absolutely beautiful and spacious, these sites can accommodate a MotorCoach up to 45' long with opposing slide outs and still has plenty of room to park you're toad. The full hook ups includes 50 amp service, sewer, potable water and a outdoor fire place and are very well maintained. The pull through sites are fully paved and level, of course there are plenty of other sites that are less expensive but still very nice, after spending four nights here and walking the ground I didn't see any sites that seemed compromised in anyway although a lot of the sites may not accommodate big rigs. There are plenty of amenities throughout the campground although we didn't take advantage of most of them since we had a different agenda but we did enjoy the onsite restaurant, and the camping store is impressive with lots of inventory for your RV needs as well as plenty of foodstuffs. It's an extremely quite park especially after the sun sets and early mornings. The entrance is gated and closes at 9:00 PM, a access card is available for an additional $15 refundable deposit. The staff here was absolutely wonderful, everyone we interacted with were very friendly and professional - I see some of the other reviews seem to differ on this point but we could not have asked for better customer service from the time we booked our site until we left. After spending a few days and exploring the area I didn't see another campground that was on par with this one in the immediate area in my opinion. This is definitely a campground I'd return to again and again. Initially, we were excited, but the management at this park turned out to be a nightmare. Despite the reasonable and straightforward rules, we faced constant harassment. We have two dogs that we walk multiple times a day. There are no trash cans or doggy bags on the property except in the dog park, so we took the initiative to buy an outdoor trash can and a bulk supply of dog waste bags to ensure we cleaned up after our pets. Yet, we received weekly notices accusing us of not cleaning up after our dogs. Each time I went to the main office to discuss these notices, I was told to "just ignore it" as it was likely a "pesty neighbor." Additionally, when family visited us for the day and parked at our RV slot, we received notices about parking violations. After discussing this with the office, we were advised to have our visitors park in the lot by the restaurant, which we did. Despite this, we continued to receive notices for various infractions, such as improper water hookup and not stopping completely in the neighborhood. This felt like borderline harassment. As responsible adults who strive to follow regulations, we were perplexed and frustrated by these continuous and unfounded accusations. Each time we sought clarification from the office, they dismissed our concerns, blaming "nosey neighbors" and suggesting neighborly disputes were at play. Ultimately, we were given a 30-day notice to vacate the property. This experience is particularly disappointing because we had suggested this park for our upcoming family reunion, which would have brought 47 rentals for a week. Now, I can't wait to leave this place. For anyone considering a short-term stay, this park may suffice. However, I strongly advise against bringing pets unless you want to be harassed and falsely accused. For those seeking a long-term rental, avoid this park at all costs, as you will face weekly harassment. Furthermore, we had several packages confirmed as delivered to the "receptionist/front desk," which mysteriously went missing, apparently mishandled by the staff. Our initial excitement to be part of the Road Runner community has completely dissipated. I am eager to leave and will never return. I do not recommend this park and will be warning others. 0/10.
