Discusting, I am astonished that anyone gives this place 4 or 5 stars, those of you who rated this place with 4 or 5 stars should have your houses taken away from you and you should be banished to wal-mart from where you came. We've been to Buffet City in Brooksville FL several times now with satisfactory results. However, last night .. we were shocked! We always go before 4PM to get the Lunch price to save a couple of dollars. This time when Dinner price started .. we were shocked to see many signs by the Dinner food items that read "For Dinner Customers Only .. Lunch Customers Must Pay Extra" (only sorry we did not take photos of the signs) What?? We're now being told not to eat certain food items at a buffet we paid for? The signs made us feel very uncomfortable .. if we dare to take one of the sign food items will we be embarrassed by the "Buffet Police"? Not sure if we'll go back unless they stop this ridiculous policy!! We enjoy buffets and also frequent Golden Corral .. arriving before 4PM to get the Lunch price. They had a decent variety, but the food quality & taste were really disapointing. The fried rice was crunchy & bland. Sweet & sour sauce tasted like straight up vinegar. I tried to wash the ill taste away with Dr. Pepper, but it was over carbonated. I hoped a bite of the honey chicken would help, but only bit into a heavly breaded piece of chicken fat. Needless to say, at that point my appetite was gone. Next time I'm in the neighborhood I think I'll choose 5 guys instead.... read more

In the area on vacation. Very impressed by the quality and price of food. There really is something for everyone. I got my 1 1/2 yo some mac n cheese, chow mein, melon, pizza, and chocolate pudding. Of the local Chinese American buffet fare, we think this is the best. The food is always fresh with a bit larger variety. The restaurant is clean and spacious. If you get there for lunch the buffet isn't extremely different from dinner but it costs less. Something I love about these spots is doing take out. You can fill a container and pay for it by weight, then take it home to enjoy over a couple of days and it's a great alternative to the typical fast food places. My first visit was better than expected. Fresh, hot food is always being made and two minutes didn't go by where the cooks weren't bringing more fresh food out. The salt and pepper shrimp, coconut shrimp, and Hibachi grill were the highlights. The staff clears the plates very quickly, and bring you more refills on your drink even quicker. Went in About an hour before closing. Most things had only a small amount left and what was left was ether cold or so dried out you couldn't chew it. They did bring out some fresh dishes and they were good. But a lot of things when they ran out they didn't refill like the shrimp, clams, scallops. Mmmm mmmmm great. I been wanting some Asian cuisine for a minute and it came with hot sake. Everything tastes great , hot and fresh. Very attentive staff. The waitress cleared used plates quickly and off it go for my next plate. I'm new to this area I'm still looking for the places to eat that have quality service and quality food that will have me coming back for more and the buffet city has it. I consider this an average Chinese buffet. It could be rated above average based on sheer size and selection however. The place is huge. Wish I had tried the hibachi, because it sounds like that was not to be missed. I tried the sushi and was not overly impressed. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals as well as their desserts. We were only visiting the area and wanted to go out for dinner one more night and this was a snap decision on our way back from Tampa. My husband and I both got sick from eating here. I actually was in the hospital for such bad food poisoning. This restaurant has also received a dirty dining review. The staff was also very rude in the times I ate there before getting sick. I actually had one member approach me and be rude to me about sauce on the buffet stand that I didn't even spill. Never liked buffets, this one has average/ to below average food. Found a long hair in it today, on top of a child throwing up all over the floor and no reaction from staff while I was there. They have very good food, the only issue I have had with them is i find hair in the food more often than not. I simply do not eat it once I find it and it ruins my apatite however they have very good food and It's almost always fresh. Awesome restaurant other than that. read more
