In my opinion the best Chinese restaurant in Spring Hill. The food is always fresh and nicely prepared. They have a sushi bar and a hibachi bar. I've never had the sushi but it always looks very nice. The hibachi bar is very good with a fresh selection of meats, seafood and vegetables. If you're watching your fat intake they will steam your hibachi selection and still make it tasty. The staff is very pleasant. All in all a very pleasant experience. read more

Typical Chinese buffet with a variety of foods. But the difference I find here is the consistency of the quality and flavors. Their sushi is better tasting than most of the sushi houses around, they use a flavored rice (as it should be). Sunday is the best day for sushi. I actually wish they had more actual Chinese dishes, sub gum, chow mien, kung pow chicken and the like for a nice change. Also would like to see some offerings changed like maybe every week. Take one of the desert tables and make that a Chinese dish only table. (I can here the sweet lovers yelling) My wife is not a lover of Chinese buffets but this is often her choice for lunch. I was very surprised at how much food, and the variety of food this place had. I'm not one for buffets but this place is one exception. Very very clean...including the restrooms. Very resonable price and with todays economy how can you go wrong with that? Food was always fresh, buffet area (counters, glass, etc) was also very clean. I came with a party of 8 and our waitress was amazing. Our drinks never went empty, dishes were picked up the minute we were done. so your typical Chinese buffet.. with a little bit of American food here and there.. the flavoring on the Chinese food was pretty good.. what you'll expect from your local chinese take-out place..(the buffet might even be a little better).. the price was pretty reasonable ..but they do charge you a few extra dollars per person for eating the crabs legs.. which i don't think they mention it before hand.. until you actually get them.. my uncle was a little surprise..so he compensated with stuffing himself fat with the crab legs.. the best part is that they have a sushi bar and Mongolian grill (which you get to pick your own items and sauces and they stir fry it for you).. and the sushi chef can basically make anything you request.. (and they have tip jars at the stations... so do be a little generous.. ) ... service was the typical buffet type.. i didn't expect more or less.. she got our drinks..took our empty plates away..refilled the drinks..and brought out the bill.. so whenever you're starving..and don't feel like waiting a good 20-30 minutes for your food to cook.. just hit this buffet..and your stomach will be pretty much content .. read more

Me and my family just moved to Brooksville from NYC, so you already know..this will have to do with why im not so impressed. Let me start by saying, the location is clean, and the staff is very attentive and friendly, these are good things. Now for the food, most people seem to love the sushi and hibachi, Im not a big sushi person so im not qualified to say whether or not it was awesome, but it did look good and fresh. I had a steak cooked up on the hibachi, and that was delicious if eaten right away, dont let it sit long or it gets tough. I paid the extra 5.95 for crab legs, and these were just ok, my first batch must have been sitting out all day because it did not taste fresh at all, I went back for seconds and those were much better, the butter looks a little questionable. Some of the foods were bland, the lo mein, the chicken wings, and sweet and sour chicken. Now I didnt have everything, so I can only comment on what I tried..the general tso's chicken was my favorite as far as flavor. There is a good selection of things, and the desserts are tasty, except my daughter did not like that the soft serve ice cream did not have toppings available. If your looking for a basic dinner buffet, this one is good..not great. Also, when we arrived we were informed that their CO2 machine was out, so they did not have soda, only sweet tea, lemonade, and water. That sucked. So on a Monday evening 3 of us ate dinner for $34, plus tip. So all in all, I say not bad..not great, but not bad. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! For starters the food looked like it was extremely old and hasn't been changed in months. The food was horrible my whole family barely touched a thing and to top it all off my daughter who doesn't usually eat much was eating an ice cream cone and suddenly starts screaming and spitting she stuck out her tung and all we saw was black chucks of what looked like a beetle or roach so I quickly got my water and made her gargle until it was mostly gone while my eldest and youngest daughter were gagging on the verge of vomiting. All they had to say was sorry and took only her meal of the bill. There is still chunks of whatever was in the cone in her mouth so I rushed across the street and bought her a tooth brush and she brushed them out of her teeth. I am furious It's a mother's worst nightmare and i am still unsure if the black chunks was a bug or something else that could harm my eight year old daughter. read more

Not a bad little chinese buffet. I'm vegetarian so I was actually surprised at the amount of vegetarian friendly options they had. Usually I get a choice of lo mein, some american things, and some rice, but this place had those plus veggie tempura, veggie egg fu young, and veggie spring rolls. Well, we had Family in for Vacation Last Summer, and we all wanted Buffet cheap all you can eat for the boys, and everyone wanted Chinese. We found and also a friend told us of Buffet City so we decided this would be Dinner one night for the 12 of us! I got to say they must do something right or people love all you can eat around here it was jamming and packed! I honestly will add they do have a tremendous selection with a Hibachi Grill and Sushi, among many regular american dishes and stuff for the little ones as well (who may not want Chinese)! I enjoyed the selection , and well since busy i will say everything stayed fresh and hot, Now one Note to consider is that they kept running out of stuff, so you go up for something you liked and well everyone liked it so it be out so they refill and still not enough so better kitchen back up is needed there! I am not a person who does the Chinese desserts but there seem to be a lot of variety there as well, ( I tend to think all Chinese buffets desserts lack taste and sugar, but do understand its their culture to make it that way, just not what i like or eat for dessert!). Over all i will say we all got filled up not too long to wait to be served andf the total dinner price was comparable to what i'd expected with tip and all! So a 4 star in retrospect for the who meal and service! read more

Fantastic food and service. When I asked Ivan, The King Of All Sushi, if he could make me sushi without rice he wrapped shrimp and crab in cucumber and served it with a lemon sauce. Surprised that this place has remained consistent with good food. Most oriental places do well for awhile and proceed to go 'downhill'. Not too cheap in price but somewhat reasonable. Dinner you pay more but do get more variety. Depending on the foods you eat sodium/msg is lower than some places so that's good. Big issue that bothers is I do not understand why they sweep table/crumbs with a broom ???? No one wants all that dirty carpet dust swept around their food and drinks ! Get a portable sweeper and let it carefully clean up the mess without making customers breath in that dirty carpet dust !!! In fact all restaurants should be tiled, not carpeted for sanitary reasons. But again, food is good and consistent, including the sushi bar. read more

Ate at your restaurant this evening. Was disappointed. Had my heart set on Beef & broccoli over white rice. Only found Broccoli and it was cold, roll was cold and no butter in sight, ribs were cold. Cost me $12.00 and I had to stop at a restaurant on the way home to get something to eat. read more

We eat at Buffet City at least 2 to 3 times a month and they are a very clean buffet restaurant and their restrooms are always clean and smells good. Their prices are also reasonable, we dine in and from time to time do takeout when we don't have the time to dine in. Keep up the great work Buffet City..:-) read more

Now, stepping into this place I was impressed. Wonderful atmosphere. A water fountain with beautiful koi fish swimming around...however., This is not a place I will ever return to in the near or distant future. I have just moved to the area, in search of a good place to get quality Chinese food, after being recommended to this place from a local who was very adamant about how delicious the food was I decided to go try it. I got seated, and went to get my food, I was very disappointed to see very little selection, there was a lot of junk food, french fries, pizza, onion rings, and the worst one....MAC AND CHEESE. In a Chinese buffet mac and cheese?!? The food looked left out, and dried and just not appetizing, there was a rather large woman scooping mass amounts of wontons into her mouth/plate and I was not able to get any, and they never refilled the food. So, I already am not feeling so good about this, but I decided to really give it a shot, I filled my plate with a little bit of everything that I was able to scavenge. Some rice, egg rolls, wonton soup, spring rolls, sea food, chicken and broccoli etc. It did not taste like Chinese food, the chicken was impossible to eat, it was chewy and it didn't even taste like chicken, my brother gave me a wonton to try form his plate and they were also chewy, it reminded me of chewing a rubber band. though a rubber band might contain more flavor. The shrimp was just awful. All of the food was just not good, nothing to be impressed about, no reason for wanting to go back for more. But the worst has yet to come. Not even half way through my plate of food does it hit me. I terrible burning pain deep in my stomach, I am curled over writhing in pain in the fetal position.. Be aware that In my family I am considered the "Iron Gut" I can eat anything without being phased however the chefs at Buffet City are doing some sort of black magic because they knocked me out. Trying to contain my composer for the sake of my family's meal I sit there in terrible pain, unable bring another morsel of food to my lips. A moment later I rush off to the bathroom, which is where I spend the next 25 minutes, I am not going to get anymore graphic for you on that matter. After the pain slowly became a tad bit better I return to my seat, I am starving as I could not eat very much. My family is now on to dessert. I decided to try some dessert food as maybe it would be better for my stomach. Served for dessert is gallons of jello cubes, pudding, dry stale cookies, ice cream (which was the only good part), and loose bananas thrown into a tray covered in a questionable red sauce. It was all not good. I try to eat small amounts of the dessert but to no avail could I, for my stomach did not want to put any more slop into it. So I gave up trying to eat anymore. I would never return here and either would my family, it is a terrible excuse for chinese food. The food is terrible even if it didn't make me sick I still would have the same feelings for it. Just disgusting. The restaurant seemed clean and looked nice however I cannot remember much about it, I can tell you alot about the bathroom as I spent most of my time in there. It was very clean and very nice, The bathroom was probably the nicest part about the entire establishment. It is very cheap, but not even worth 6 or 8 dollars however much it was. NOT WORTH IT. This is a Chinese buffet; that should say enough. No matter how many different items you put on your plate they all taste the same. And all you can taste is the MSG. The salad bar is a waste of time, vegetables are soggy and the dressing is very thin and tasteless. The food is semi hot but not steaming unless you are lucky enough to get it when it first comes out. Anything fried is greasy and limp. I did like the sesame chicken and I always like white rice so I will give credit for those two items. They do serve some "American" food, but I would not attempt to eat it, and don't even go near the pizza! Seriously, get pizza at a pizza place. I ordered an ice tea which tasted like it had been around awhile. The wait staff always seems to be hovering around ready to grab your plate; it is very annoying. Although our server was very nice. One question, why the reluctance of any Chinese buffet to supply knives on the table with the other silverware? I am famous for looking for the good as well as the bad in things, but I cannot, for the life of me, find ANYTHING good about this place. We tried it shortly after they opened and it was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. A few weeks ago, we thought we would try it again since they have been open a few years and have had some time to perfect their craft. WE WERE WRONG! It's just like it was the first time. I guess people like it because it's a lot of food for a reasonable price. Although, the price is not reasonable for what you get. I had a piece of sweet and sour chicken that I finally had to deposit into a napkin. I chewed for 5 minutes with no success. The same was true of the other tempura style chicken dishes. The restaurant appeared clean and very bright. Soothing oriental music playing in background. I observed waitresses keeping floor clean by picking up pieces of food that fell from buffet area. The waitress came once to bring our drinks then again to clear some plates from our table and to give us the check and at that point offered refills on our drinks just as we were about to leave. The greeter was not very nice. She listed my party as 4 adults. I had requested 3 adults 1 child due to my special needs adult daughter (who is 4 feet weighs about 65 lbs) usually eats from a child's menu because of her petite body frame and dietary restrictions . It's not about saving money, because this place does offer a wide variety of foods both Chinese and American .So you do get the best deal for the price. It was more about the quality of customer service/hospitalty that will NOT have me coming back. My daughter was able to eat chicken and veggies from the hibatchi and that was it. read more
