Cici's Pizza Review - Dangerous Health Hazards & Unprofessional Management** I am writing to share my deeply troubling experience at Cici's Pizza on **January 5th around 7:00 PM**. This visit raised serious concerns about food safety, customer care, and basic hygiene, and I strongly urge management or corporate offices to take immediate action. --- ### **Severe Sanitation and Food Safety Problems** - **Pest Infestation**: The most disturbing incident was when **my autistic son spotted a roach crawling up the wall** near our table. This understandably upset him and ruined our confidence in the restaurant's cleanliness. Soon after, when he wanted brownies, the manager brought out cold brownies from under the counter with no cover. After seeing the roach, my son refused to eat them, worried about contamination. - **Unsafe Food Handling**: I witnessed employees **making pizzas with their bare hands--no gloves at all--and then handling cash at the register before returning directly to prepare pizzas**. There was absolutely no attempt to wash or sanitize their hands in between these tasks. This cross-contamination is appalling and, frankly, it is no surprise that my entire family felt sick afterwards. - **Dirty and Wet Utensils**: There were no forks available when we arrived, and all the plates, silverware, and bowls were either dirty or soaking wet. The dishwashing process did not appear to use hot water, judging by the cold and wet condition of the dishes. We had to dry them ourselves with napkins. - **Messy & Understocked Service Areas**: The soda bar was a mess, and they ran out of cups, forcing us to use paper cups. Later, they ran out of bowls for the salad bar, so customers had to wait for more to be cleaned. --- ### **Cold Food & Manager's Rude Behavior** - **Cold, Exposed Brownies**: As mentioned, the brownies were cold and kept uncovered under the counter, making them especially unappetizing after seeing a bug nearby. The manager claimed the heat lamps were "just for show," laughed at our concerns, and was completely dismissive. - **Improper Food Temperatures**: Food did not appear to be kept at safe temperatures. Almost immediately after eating, I became very ill and had to rush to the restroom, and when we got home, my entire family took turns being sick for the rest of the night. --- ### **Overcharging and Manager's Mocking Response** - **Pricing Scam**: I was charged $10 per person instead of the clearly advertised $5.99 buffet price for Mondays and Tuesdays. When I showed the manager my receipt, he laughed and said "You have to read the fine print--it's with a code," again treating our complaint as a joke instead of addressing it seriously. --- ## **Summary** This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. **From roaches on the walls, to unsanitary food handling, to dirty dishes and rude management**--everything about this place is a disaster waiting to happen. This was a horrible night out. Currently sitting in the resturaunt as the fucking dishwasher guu cleans our table as my wife was getting up for seconds to pretty much push us out the door, ob top of that grabbed our drink cups and tossed em away. Irritated i sat at another table and voiced "guess ill just sit here" as i had crumbs from his nasty ass rag flung in my face as he flicked the rag behind him to "clean it off". Im beyond pissed that i took family time away to write this review as im still sitting in ur establishment. Icing on the cake, marinara sauce was asked for well before 9:20 but we were told no were done at 9:30. It was pulled from the buffet prior to asking which questioned us? I just paid 45 dollars to watch you pull food away early, rush me out the door, and tell me i cant get what i paid for, flick crumbs in my face, complain about ur job the whole time, from almost all employees..loudly through the whole resturaunt, how uncomfortable to make us eating the food u prepared!!. To top it the employee kept yelling it that no were done at 9:30 after another employee offered to help us out, while she stuffed her face of brownies while at the buffet bar. He brought it with the sauce and meatball on top and his excuse was he didn't hear me. He then didn't offer or refill my drink once. Infact because of his story I made a point to lift my glass when he came over and he still didn't refill it. Well over 20 minutes with an empty glass. He had 3 tables and one was regulars. The icing to my grip I also ordered a Diet Pepsi which is what was on the fountain but it was definitely a Pepsi Zero, all my fellow diet soda drinkers know, there is a difference and we have a preference. If your ok with good food but mediocre service it's fine, but don't expect more.
