Mr. Hot Pot was a good time. We went for lunch because it is like $10 cheaper and less people. I enjoyed the conveyor belt of side items and desert that goes around the room. Just pick and plate and start cooking it. Fun time. I had just the hot pot and had my fill of so many different things. There are items you can grab and others you order with waiter. They were quick in delivery, but didn't give you a lot. However, you can just keep ordering. Overall a great experience in a fun vibrant atmosphere. Staff are friendly enough. Update: August 2025 - waiters no longer bring you food dishes, only the broth. All other items you grab from the front and sides of the room or the conveyor belt. If an item fails to come around on the belt frequently enough, just ask and they will bring to your table. There are also hot items (ie Luke warm). Wings were good. Today the sauces were all settled at the bottom so make sure to stir and hope for the best they aren't too thick. Still a yummy good time. Don't forget the ice cream too. read more

My husband and I go here frequently to enjoy the experience of cooking at our table and the wonderful selection of foods. From octopus, to shrimp to various meats, you cook it yourself a your table. A choice of six soups to cook your selections in, usually seafood. Then the grill on the table for your meats with a wide choice of sauces and herbs to add on. Stopped by with my son for dinner after work. We were there around 630 and business was starting to pick up. The restaurant was pretty full by the time we left. The waitress came by as soon as we sit and explained everything to us. We had hotpot and bbq. The hotpot is good but the bbq was my favorite. Salmon, pork chops, lobster balls, qual eggs, shrimp, chicken, squid, several types of beef, scallops, mussels, and so much more. All delicious and cooked to perfection (lol). They even had ice cream (and cake) available for desert, and a make-your-own sauce station. Very positive experience and we're already talking about bringing his boys. read more

We've enjoyed a few Hot Spot places around Tampa Bay and found ourselves in Springhill and saw this new one, well you gotta try out new places. I can say our service greatly lacked "any service." Other than sit here, what drink do you want, that was it, and picking up the dishes. No, "have you tried hot pot before, are you familiar how it works, here is the temperature gauge, there are the BBQ items, any questions," would have been nice! I did see one employee cooking BBQ for two elderly ladies and engaging frequently with them. Our server never came back and our drinks were plopped on our table by the guy who picked up our dishes. Not a good way to good way to make an impression with me. The server, I mean dish picker upper,dropped off our base soup. I chose the vegetable soup and my date chose the Tom Yum soup. I'd skip the vegetable soup, it was literally water with 2 bok choy , it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. My date stated the Tom Yum soup had some flavor but very hard to define or describe. He didn't recommend it. We enjoyed, as always being able to add items to our soups, off the conveyor. I desperately tried to get some kind of flavor into my broth so my additions would have flavor, but I couldn't get a flavor I enjoyed and hardly added anything but noodles, mushrooms, scallions, tofu and corn. I ended up throwing the ingredients on the BBQ with sauce and that helped. The BBQ items to choose from where plenty and dish picker upper replaced our BBQ once when it began to burn. We couldn't find the temperature gauge for the BBQ and he only came if we got up to get items. Back to the "I like service!" Our favorite thing was the desserts and we did try them all. As for the Soups, "blah", not a winner. BBQ I give a good rating, but would have given higher if someone would have shown me where to turn down the temperature so I didn't scorch my food. We had tried a Mr. hot pot up north while visiting family and were extremely pleased. And when we discovered there was a Mr. hot pot here near us We had to try it. We were extremely pleased. As we entered we were greeted by some very nice people, all smiles, all happy to see us. We were seated right away. On the side of the table there is a conveyor belt with small plates of different types of foods which you select from to go into your hot pot. You have a choice of vegetable soup, miso soup, meat, soup, different types of broth. you turn on your burner place your hot pot with the juice in and as the vegetables, whatever you want put in your hot pot as it passes by you grab it and you dump it into your hot pot. Also, you can look at some of the videos. They have different types of meats or veggies of all kinds that you can go and pick up to either put in your hot pot or cook in your grill, which is in the middle of the table. They give you plenty of butter and after your butter melts then you can put your meats or whatever you want and cook it that way or you can put whatever you select into your hot pot. We were very happy and it was my daughters birthday. She and her husband and son had a wonderful experience. They had never been to anything this unique. After our meal, the employees came out and they sang happy birthday. In the picture you can see they gave her a hat and some happy birthday glasses and some gifts and they were very nice gifts too! and a small cake. It was very well done. The food was delicious. The broth was delicious. The ambience was traditional, very clean and Employees were extremely helpful. They came by often gathered plates refilled our drinks, and they have some of the Boba teas I've found. If you've never experienced Asian cuisine like this, this is a treat for you. I would definitely put it on a must try list. It's fun and something different. recommended and we'll go back again. It is a little pricey, but not for the amount of food that you get to eat you can keep going and going and going and the price is still the same and I believe it cost us about $35 a person which was very well worth it for all the the everything that we received and the superb service. read more

This is not a fancy hot pot and if you get Shabu in various places you need to set expectation on where you are. With that said I keep going back because I enjoy it. The only down side is they don't have pork belly for hot pot on the Korean barbecue. The spicy broth is spicy... that should be self explanatory but sometimes it's not! We got the soup and buffet, the soup was okay but really I'd leave that off next time bc the buffet is an enormous amount of food. We got all of the seasoned uncooked meat and were cooking it, the waitress came over and just put so much meat on the cooker! Soooooooo, my wife is from the west coast and since moving to Florida she has said numerous times how much she misses Korean BBQ. We've tried many of them in the TB area but all have left her disappointed. Keep in mind my wife is super booghie Saw this place open up a bit ago and finally convinced her to try it. She was reluctant cause it's in Spring Hill but finally agreed. This place is amazing!!! The owner was super nice and chatted with us for a bit. This is like the old school Korean BBQs that allow you to go get your own portions, sauces, sides and all. The conveyer belt of sides and desserts is fun! Food was fresh, the staff was very nice and attentive and the pricing is solid for hot pot and K BBQ. My wife was happy and achieving that is NO easy task.....trust me . This is my go to place for family gatherings. I have seen randomly on their social media about their celebration for birthdays and of course I needed my friend to have this done for her. It was epic and amazing! The owners and staff are always so attentive to customers. I don't need to worry that we're going to get smoked out cooking our food either, they come quickly to change out the grill plate. They take away dirty dishes constantly so you don't need to worry about running out of free space on your table. They have a great variety and even have friend chicken and other fried items by the condiment area. To some it may be pricey but their quality and variety is great and especially for this area. They even have a good spread of alcoholic drinks and boba tea. Restaurant is really clean and they have a cute display at the front door. I forgot to ask about this for my mom earlier in the year but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do this with all my family members now. My very first Korean BBQ spot. Very please. Everyone was extremely friendly and cheerful. After a brief intro, we were off. Ingredients were very fresh and appealing. Most proteins were marinaded in a tasty sauce. The restaurant is also Hot Pot. All the fixings for the pot were equal in quality too. The whole experience was fun and enjoyable. First I'll disclose I lived in korea for 4 years so my review is based on how it compares to korea. I've also been to dozens of other Korean bbq places. The place was much cleaner than most places in korea. The staff is really friendly. More so than in most places in korea. Value - poor - quality is not up to par with the price. Wife wanted hotpot - I wanted bbq - had to get the $30 option which was the hot pot and grill for both of us. I think $30 for some ramen soup with vegetables is high priced and the food was not good on either ends. Overall it was about $7 more - not a lot - but I didn't want soup and my wife didn't want bbq. It is what it is though. Most of the meats have no real seasoning - you make your own. Most people don't know how to make their own seasoning they should season the meats. I've eaten at 100+ Korean bbq places in korea and what sets each of the them apart is the seasoning of the meat. The conveyor belt - while cool - I don't care for it. I saw the same thing go around for an 90 min. Not sure how many people sneezed on it. Know cooking will kill most viruses - but you don't cook cake or watermelon - why do you put that on a conveyor belt - odd. They should have kept that at the chilled buffet part. They had a good selection of seafood which was nice - I'm very cautious of any buffet shellfish so I stuck with the shrimp and scallops. Didn't see the staff changing out the tongs at the buffet during my stay. Would say they should change them out and it's possible they did it before we got there. Most places change them out every hour or so. I don't like the cooking device. I wish they used charcoal as opposed to those electric warmers. They give you globs of butter to grease the pot thing. If you use any seasoning it will get stuck on the warming pan and smoke. I had mine changed 6 times tonight. There are no vents in the place to get the smoke out so you will stink when you leave. I would think they could do better by providing some guidance on what to add to the soup - spice wise. Most don't know how to use hot pots and it could help their experience be better. While I get this is a unique experience - I'd have to say there is a lot to be desired. At $65 for the two of us - I could eat in a lot better places for less. There were a few folks in there and most seemed to like it. I guess if you haven't been to a Korean bbq - you may think this is good. This place lacks the good sides of the other all you can eat Korean bbqs. Prior to leaving they give you two probiotic drinks. Assume it's to help you digest that lousy food. A few hours after eating both of us felt sick. We contemplated pizza or this place - should have done the pizza. We did have second thoughts when we pulled into the parking lot and saw the outside of the place. We thought the poor confusion of the outside just coincided with the overall Korean experience as most places in korea - the outside looks like places yiu would question going into. There were a few folks in there and most seemed to like it. I guess if you haven't been to another Korean bbq - you may think this is good. This place lacks the good sides of the other all you can eat Korean bbqs. I won't go back if you comped me dinner for a party of 10. I'm just so shocked so many people frequent this place. read more

This is the second hot pot I've eaten that's called Mar, although the first one was Mister Hot Pot in New York; this Mister is probably different. I've already been to nine spices hot pot in Pinellas so my bench mark on Americanized hot pot belts starts there. Instantly sitting down I can see that this one is different. They have two belts running for tables but you can see that they don't put much of the meat on there; it's mostly vegetables. You discover the buffet tables and freezer are where you grab your proteins, which I guess is ok; I think I remember places that would do that version. At least you know the sliced meat is nice and frozen. They have seafood and land meat in chill plates or under ice or in freezer chests; if you opt for bbq you also grab it from the buffet. This place is unique that they have a rice pot available if you want rice to eat although they have three types of noodles on the belt you can add to your broth. Limited selection of broth... maybe 5 types. The sauce bar where you customize your dipping sauce is underwhelming as it has less than nine spices but if you're a blanco you probably don't know enough Asian flavors to care so umami and savory are what you desire then this is suitable. Dessert wise they have ice cream cups just like in elementary school. One of the few pluses is that they have salmon strips you can cook, and raw or peeled shrimp available as well. I can't say that they had a ton of bbq meat variety versus the other place. And as I soloed this venture I can deal with the small pot as opposed to my getting a big pot with friends where we just toss everything in there. So overall, I guess this is the best that Spring Hill has to offer. read more

I am so absolutely thrilled this place opened in Spring Hill. No more need to drive to Pinellas County or Tampa, Spring Hill is now where it's at! We had been waiting for it to open for months, eyeing the building while in the area for HL Asian Market. How conveniently located to the market! They just opened on Nov 14 and for a Friday night, they were appropriately busy. The busiest restaurant I've ever seen in this area. We were seated in about 40 minutes (seriously, do not underestimate the current wait time but it was so worth it). The meat, sauces and rice are in a buffet area whereas the vegetables and noodles are on the lovely conveyer belt. The broth, serving plate utensils and drinks are brought to you. My recommendation is to go ahead and order hot pot plus BBQ; the price increase is not terrible. We both ordered the Tom yum broth and with addition of lemon it was perfect. Our favorite meats were the short ribs and pork belly. Perfectly marinaded! As busy as they were, they did not neglect to remove our heating stone when it got charred. The waitstaff was all nice and personable. I know they've been working extra hard due to the restaurant's popularity and I hope more people can join the staff and accommodate the demand.
