Stopped by with my son for dinner after work. We were there around 630 and business was starting to pick up. The restaurant was pretty full by the time we left. The waitress came by as soon as we sit and explained everything to us. We had hotpot and bbq. The hotpot is good but the bbq was my favorite. Salmon, pork chops, lobster balls, qual eggs, shrimp, chicken, squid, several types of beef, scallops, mussels, and so much more. All delicious and cooked to perfection (lol). They even had ice cream (and cake) available for desert, and a make-your-own sauce station. Very positive experience and we're already talking about bringing his boys.

What a fun food experience and treat to share with family and friends! Every table has a personal hot pot with choice of soup base and a shared grill- right on the table. Epic amount and cross-section of fresh meat, fish and veges that you can take for your soup and your grill. Even has a conveyor belt bringing other specialty food items that you add to your own culinary masterpiece. Go with family & friends and plan for a good amount of time as everyone has such a great time creating their soups and grilling their meats exactly like they like them! Very friendly staff that helps you get acclimated to the setup and offer lots of suggestions to get you started.

We've enjoyed a few Hot Spot places around Tampa Bay and found ourselves in Springhill and saw this new one, well you gotta try out new places. I can say our service greatly lacked "any service." Other than sit here, what drink do you want, that was it, and picking up the dishes. No, "have you tried hot pot before, are you familiar how it works, here is the temperature gauge, there are the BBQ items, any questions," would have been nice! I did see one employee cooking BBQ for two elderly ladies and engaging frequently with them. Our server never came back and our drinks were plopped on our table by the guy who picked up our dishes. Not a good way to good way to make an impression with me. The server, I mean dish picker upper, dropped off our base soup. I chose the vegetable soup and my date chose the Tom Yum soup. I'd skip the vegetable soup, it was literally water with 2 bok choy , it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. My date stated the Tom Yum soup had some flavor but very hard to define or describe. He didn't recommend it. We enjoyed, as always being able to add items to our soups, off the conveyor. I desperately tried to get some kind of flavor into my broth so my additions would have flavor, but I couldn't get a flavor I enjoyed and hardly added anything but noodles, mushrooms, scallions, tofu and corn. I ended up throwing the ingredients on the BBQ with sauce and that helped. The BBQ items to choose from where plenty and dish picker upper replaced our BBQ once when it began to burn. We couldn't find the temperature gauge for the BBQ and he only came if we got up to get items. Back to the "I like service!" Our favorite thing was the desserts and we did try them all. As for the Soups, "blah", not a winner. BBQ I give a good rating, but would have given higher if someone would have shown me where to turn down the temperature so I didn't scorch my food. Overall, the experience for the taste and price was not a win for us, we've had much better tasting soup bases, service, and more variety on the conveyor and seasonings.

We had tried a Mr. hot pot up north while visiting family and were extremely pleased. And when we discovered there was a Mr. hot pot here near us We had to try it. We were extremely pleased. As we entered we were greeted by some very nice people, all smiles, all happy to see us. We were seated right away. On the side of the table there is a conveyor belt with small plates of different types of foods which you select from to go into your hot pot. You have a choice of vegetable soup, miso soup, meat, soup, different types of broth. you turn on your burner place your hot pot with the juice in and as the vegetables, whatever you want put in your hot pot as it passes by you grab it and you dump it into your hot pot. Also, you can look at some of the videos. They have different types of meats or veggies of all kinds that you can go and pick up to either put in your hot pot or cook in your grill, which is in the middle of the table. They give you plenty of butter and after your butter melts then you can put your meats or whatever you want and cook it that way or you can put whatever you select into your hot pot. We were very happy and it was my daughters birthday. She and her husband and son had a wonderful experience. They had never been to anything this unique. After our meal, the employees came out and they sang happy birthday. In the picture you can see they gave her a hat and some happy birthday glasses and some gifts and they were very nice gifts too! and a small cake. It was very well done. The food was delicious. The broth was delicious. The ambience was traditional, very clean and Employees were extremely helpful. They came by often gathered plates refilled our drinks, and they have some of the Boba teas I've found. If you've never experienced Asian cuisine like this, this is a treat for you. I would definitely put it on a must try list. It's fun and something different. recommended and we'll go back again. It is a little pricey, but not for the amount of food that you get to eat you can keep going and going and going and the price is still the same and I believe it cost us about $35 a person which was very well worth it for all the the everything that we received and the superb service.

I have been here close to 10 times now. Consistent local hot pot. The sauce bar is my favorite. This is not a fancy hot pot and if you get Shabu in various places you need to set expectation on where you are. With that said I keep going back because I enjoy it. The only down side is they don't have pork belly for hot pot on the Korean barbecue. The spicy broth is spicy... that should be self explanatory but sometimes it's not! They do a nice job of cleaning the tables as they turn over. The bathrooms are also clean.

    Best kbbq and hot pot

10/10 love this place totally recommend we come here all the time they gave birthday gift which was so nice

Wow!!! Our family of 8 ate here for dinner enjoying both the hot pot and the BBQ grill. Restaurant was very clean and everything we ate was delicious. Service was so friendly and staff were over the top kind. To top it off they sang to my daughter for her birthday! 10 stars all the way- we will be back for sure! -Christina

Soooooooo, my wife is from the west coast and since moving to Florida she has said numerous times how much she misses Korean BBQ. We've tried many of them in the TB area but all have left her disappointed. Keep in mind my wife is super booghie Saw this place open up a bit ago and finally convinced her to try it. She was reluctant cause it's in Spring Hill but finally agreed. This place is amazing!!! The owner was super nice and chatted with us for a bit. This is like the old school Korean BBQs that allow you to go get your own portions, sauces, sides and all. The conveyer belt of sides and desserts is fun! Food was fresh, the staff was very nice and attentive and the pricing is solid for hot pot and K BBQ. My wife was happy and achieving that is NO easy task.....trust me . This place is one of the best things to come to that area in a long time. We will be back.

It was a very interesting and different type of restaurant and if you haven't tried this, it is very unique and fun. They have tables for large crowds. Bathrooms were clean areas for disabled folks. Plenty of parking plenty of handicap parking. Children were there and they were having a good time. our waitress was very helpful. We never ran out of drink and as we use the plates, they would immediately come by and pick up and make sure we had more room. And in the center was a barbecue pan and we could barbecue our meat. Which they had a extremely large selection to choose from. It was chicken, pork, shrimp, different types of seafood. There were crabs, scallops, crayfish, huge shrimp to choose from. They had then sliced cuts of beef also brisket and pork. They had tripe octopus different shrimp. And another section they had all the sauces and different spices you could select from. The food was absolutely delicious. We had such a good time, but we ate too much. The concept is simple: choose from an enormous selection of raw ingredients and cook them yourself either on the tabletop grill or in one of several flavorful broths. The selection was impressive. They had a huge variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and mushrooms. One thing that immediately caught my attention was the hanger steak, one of my favorite cuts, and it was excellent on the grill. The pork belly was another standout, cooking up beautifully with great flavor. Seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy as well, including scallops and even crab legs. As someone currently following a keto diet, there were plenty of carb-heavy options I skipped, but it didn't matter. The selection of proteins, vegetables, and mushrooms was so extensive that I had no trouble filling up while staying on plan. By the end of the meal, I felt completely satisfied and genuinely felt like I got my money's worth. Between the quality, variety, and interactive dining experience, Hot Pot Korean BBQ is a fun place to eat and one I'd happily visit again.

We absolutely had never been to this K-pop before they were very hard to hear initially, and she briefly showed us the front in the back of the menu so we quickly chose something because we didn't know how it operated.. we quickly chose barbecue and when we sat down, the waitress came over and explained that we just get up get our food and then we we quickly realized that there was way more options for the K-pop and there was the actual barbecue section. The student bother us as we have in Korean barbecue before however, when we looked at the slices of meat, they were completely fat. The port was all fat. The Bulgogi had lump of fat on it and the chicken were tenders, but they were all with the tendons intact. The kimchi was not completely fermented. It was actually horrible. The daikon was so thick. I don't understand where the seaweed salad even came from as it was overly salty.. The french fries were called to the touch. I brought my one year-old in with me and he didn't even touch them. The rice was probably the most upsetting part because it was damn near porridge too much water in the rice that my son couldn't even put it on his spoon.. I also wanted to note that our stove top turned off and we weren't even aware . the only thing that they did not mess up was Gaza and I want to make this very clear. The dessert menu is watermelon pineapple orange slices a piece of store-bought cake we ended up paying almost $80 with tip for 2.5 people and everything we tasted was disgusting as soon as I left the restaurant I threw up everywhere.. I took my waitress out of courtesy but we literally didn't get our water filled. I think this was a zero out of 10 experience if I could not rate it at all and put 0.0 stars it would get that before leaving I told my waitress how disgusting everything was and she actually agreed. She said she only ate there one time to say she did and she wouldn't eat there either. I'm not sure if people are just extremely unexperienced with how Korean food should taste as we have that culture immersed in Hawaii as well as my daughter coming directly from Korea, but this experience could not have been any worse.

I like the intimate, cozy setting with semi private booth. The staff did a great job explaining our options. We all enjoyed our cocktails. The fondue experience is amazing and I truly loved the cheese course. It's fun preparing it at the table. The entrée was a bit more of a mixed experience for me. While cooking your own protein is fun, it was not really for me personally. My friend and I chose the grilling option, and the other 2 people at our table opted for the oil cooking method and that's where it lost me a bit. Between the lingering grease smell and the heat from grilling, it became slightly uncomfortable for me. To be fair, I seemed to be the only one at the table who felt this way. For dessert we had the chocolate fondue, absolutely worth it. Ending the night melting chocolate and dipping desserts felt like the perfect finale and my favorite part of the experience. Overall, it's a unique and memorable dining experience. I would gladly return; next time, likely for cocktails, cheese, and chocolate.

But my review is dedicated to Kevin and Abgela who served our table last night. We left another Korean VBQ on Fowler in Tampa and drove an hour to this location, frustrated at the rude attitude of that place over their 2=hrs limit policy and the $500 penalty (hix!). Our group had 9 of us. KPot's largest table could accommodate only 8. The hotess wanted us to sit at 2 tables, one 8 top and another 4 top. It was not convenience for a family gathering after a school ceremony. We asked Kevin if we could pull another chair and sit together. We did mind two of us sharing a hot pot. Without hesitation, Kevin pulled us a chair and made it happen. Throughout the dinner, Kevin, Angela and another tall male server who brought food, refilling beverages, and checking on us. The manager stopped by, and we ket him know how Kevin's quick solution made our date. The food was good. I picked the Fresh Herbal broth and liked it. Most other guests liked the Tom Yum. Thanks, Kevin.

The wait wasn't long at all. I put my name on the list and got called within about 15 minutes. Since it's connected to a mall, we walked around a little while we waited. Our server was Jess and she was the bomb! She was super knowledgeable, attentive, and knew her stuff. I'm used to the conveyor belt style for fresh ingredients, but here you order everything from a tablet and the portions are very reasonable. They have a great variety of ingredients for both hot pot and barbecue, plus a hot bar, cold bar, and plenty of sauces to create your own combination. The drinks? Impeccable! I really enjoyed my experience here. The blue crabs and snow crab were definitely some of my favorites. 10/10 experience. I already know I'm coming back to stuff my face! KPOT has several locations, but this St. Petersburg location is definitely a must-try.
