Below is the post I wrote on FB to warn friends & family. tldr: $160 interior car wash was originally going to cost me $400 - $500 in repairs due to damage caused by the detailing company, ended up being declared a total loss after $3600 of repairs could not fix water damage. Stay away from Buffmaster Auto Detailing. I got lulled into a false sense of security based on all the positive reviews. I am convinced that they are either shill/friend reviews or people who ONLY got exterior details from him. Last Saturday I dropped my car off for an interior detail for $160. Sunday I picked it up and he let me know "I wasn't able to get the heat going in this thing so it's going to be a little bit before it dries". I thought "hmmm...the heat was working fine when I dropped it off". Picked it up and the A/C was stuck on high and only one of the climate control consoles was working. He tried to tell me that it would dry out, no problem. I won't make this story too long but the upshot is that it didn't resolve and I asked him for a refund. After first trying to blame me for having a dirty car (???) yep that's why I was paying for the detail) he said he would give me a refund if I would release him from any further liability. I *should* have realized at this point that he knew he did significant damage. I told him I would wait a few more days and when it didn't resolve I knew that a climate control panel costs $180 and that Nate could probably switch it out so, like an idiot, I agreed. Now my mechanic says that the body control module is completely shot and it's going to cost hundred to fix (at least $400 - $500). Oh and the speedometer isn't working either. So no climate control, no speedometer....My mechanic said it looks like somebody literally took a hose to the control panel. So I have no legal recourse because this guy ripped me off, he obviously knew he caused major damage and wanted to refund me the minimum and get out of liability as fast as he could. But the least I can do is let my friends, family and the general public stay away from these "pros". I have become a regular customer of the BuffMaster bringing my cars to him at least once a year. You will not regret it! The prices are a bit high compared to most but the service and results are astounding. Literally each time my cars look like I just drove it out of the showroom. Today he detailed my wife's GL450 and because of the black color, it showed lots of tiny scratches. Justin called and recommended we buff them out and treat the leather. 7/23/2016 Buffmaster has been "rubbed out" apparently. Having had good results previously, we made an appointment to have mother-in-law's car done today. Spoke with owner, Justin Budd on Thursday and he said to "drop the car off as early as possible Saturday morning and he would be in by 9 AM or so to start working on it". We went and did an errand,had to pass by the shop at 10:30AM to see the car had not been moved and nobody was there. So we went and did several more errands and had lunch in Keene. On the way home at 12:00 PM we saw that the car had been moved..trunk was open as well as gas door and hood also and car was unlocked..but no work was being done yet. I called Justin to ask what was going on as the time required to complete this car was not going to be sufficient to pick it up by 6 PM. Told him that if he couldn't do the car today to just bring the keys back and we'd try some other time. OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING IS GOING ON WITH THIS GUY, but we weren't sure WHAT.He showed up with his girlfriend, who gave us the evil eyeball and he handed us the keys saying "Here...take it to somebody else". WOW! Follow up posts on Facebook were equally arrogant, unprofessional and insulting. We smelled alcohol on his breath and think that he is having a hard time running his business properly. He also claimed that "he doesn't work on Saturdays and that he doesn't need to be nagged by customers..that it's his day to do whatever he wants". Well that's OK but he shouldn't make apppointments if he can't perform the job!!!!! We saw him rise in 2013 but now see him falling. Never see many vehicles there and his attitude sucks! He's really got some nerve to say that "he doesn't need the drama"..just do what you agree to and it would have been fine. We will never be back for more abuse from the "Buffoon"! This place is really great. Our 09 Honda Fit was given the ceramic treatment. We couldn't be any happier. The people are so very nice and go out of their way to do the best job. I love the two dogs as well. I can't say enough about them. Really great! read more
