Great breakfast stop. Lots of options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fairly small space, but we were able to get a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both ordered brown sugar oat cold brews and breakfast wraps. The wrap tasted fresh and very delicious. I really enjoyed my cold brew as well. Staff was friendly.

This place is great for a pit stop. Cute comfy seating for about three or four sets of customers. Lattes are great and wrap was prepared with care. Quick and friendly service.

    Pesto bacon sandwich

This was my first time at Lucille's, and it's safe to say my last as well. I understand it was a very busy day but the items I received were not good enough to make up for the 50 minutes of chaotic waiting. My online order was not even started or added to the queue until after the pick up time. I got in around 8:50, and at 9:20 finally asked to just see if they received the order. I was told none of the workers had the order and once the guy at the register said yes I have it it's just not started but they would try and expedite it (again I understand that it was busy but it was very disorganized). Then I was given my latte with "cold foam" after 40 minutes of waiting which the cold foam was not even whipped it was just the milk/cream mixture still liquid on top which turned the whole drink into a cup of milk with little flavor. Then the "cold brew" was so watery it looked like dilute iced tea. Once the food came out I was thankful to leave. I got back to my car to realize the honey pistachio toast (add ons: hot honey and arugula) had no pistachios and spinach. My partners bacon pesto sandwich did not have the add on grilled onions or pane di casa (which cost extra). I hate going back into places but after such a long wait and paying extra and tip already I wanted what we ordered. I was told they would just swap the bread and add pistachios. I ended up just leaving and cutting my losses over any more wasted time. Our coffees were horrible straight to the trash.

Plus the puppy picture name wall was adorable and they name meals after them! Our server was nice and the menu had interesting choices, but sadly they sounded better than what they were. - the scramble was not that great...overdone eggs and I'm not a fan of slapping a square piece of cheese on eggs. I think shredded cheddar would have been a better choice and the crumbly-sausage was an odd choice for breakfast sausage - I was excited they had hash browns but they were premade with garlic powder and came out mushy. They left a lingering weird garlic flavor - turkey sandwich had real turkey breast which was great but it was too hot and made the sandwich soggy - burrito was good but the homefries were burnt beyond repair Lots of parking on the side and front area

So, uh....Junior's Restaurant & Bakery (not to be confused with Junior's Coffee Bakery just outside…read morethe lobby) is a casual sit-down dining experience which seems to emulate a decor crossing between Denny's and Whataburger. I realize I'm probably the only one who will ever make that comparison, but I'm sticking with it. Picture cozy booths but with the color orange. I think it's also safe to assume the majority of folks come here for breakfast. Ergo, that's what I'll be reviewing today. The menu is what you'd expect. On this day, I was in the mood for an omelet. Small caveat upfront for anyone with the faint of stomach: their omelets are composed of 4...possibly 5 eggs! On top of that, they STILL allow you to order one with an extra egg, if you wish. Crazy! :o I played it safe and went with a standard ham & [cheddar] cheese omelet. And like....here's the thing: proper omelet etiquette calls for shredded cheese, regardless of what type. The reason for this is so that when you fork your way in for a bite, the cheese doesn't stretch on for ages like one continuous string that won't quit until you chop it off with a knife (or perhaps a machete). What I suspect they did was either used long strips of cheddar or (perish the thought) stuck a couple of whole cheddar slices into the omelet and called it a day. Needless to say, it makes the whole eating experience hella awkward. Taste wise, it wasn't bad at all; though, it could have benefited from a bit of seasoning. 8 out of 10, be sure to enjoy with a knife. The sides were...fine. Honestly, the homefries and corned beef hash (which we'll talk about in a sec) were arguably among the best. Whereas that toast...*sigh*. Guys. Why are restaurants so petrified of copiously buttering toast? Shoot! I'll even settle for quasi-copiously buttering. Now, one reviewer claimed the corned beef hash (which is made fresh) suspiciously tasted of the canned variety. And honestly....I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. See, I have this thing with homemade hash. Most of the renditions I've tried consist more of a brisket type textured corned beef; which either tastes over seasoned (I can't even believe I'M saying that) or seasoned strangely. For instance, the homemade hash I tried up at the Market Place Diner in Hollis, NH tasted like ranch for some reason. But, I digress. This hash was more of a minced meat texture that had a bit of subtlety to its flavoring which I can appreciate. Unfortunately, the side (which is over 10 bucks, btw) is not meant for one person. This portion could easily serve 2...maybe 3 persons. Eh, far as homemade versions go, 9 out of 10. And of course, the Mimosa was heavenly. Wanna know what really surprised us though? The coffee. I honestly thought we were about to be presented yet another pathetically weak breakfast blend most diners serve. But no--this coffee was bold in a way that would make even the likes of the Starbucks CEO go, "Jolly good cup o' java, ol' chap!" Service was sublime. My only other minor complaint is...the pricing. But really, it's to be expected of a restaurant that operates in conjunction with a resort. I guess I expected like, a near fine dining level of breakfast food for such prices. On the plus side, those $16 Mimosas include the entire small bottle of champagne. You just gotta ask for a little more OJ after your first glass. Weird. It's an innocuous little joint I wouldn't mind dining at upon future stays. Albeit a little pretentiously priced, I'm giving Junior's Restaurant and Bakery at Foxwoods 4 of the hugest fluffy ham & cheese omelets out of 5.

The pastrami was so flavorful. The burger was seasoned and you can still taste the freshness from the beef. It was a good lunch and that made up for the rude attitude in the beginning with the hostess.

And the side my husband and I sat on we got a great view of the open kitchen. As an appetizer my husband and I shared the lobster risotto. I normally love risotto and not a fan of lobster. It was the opposite at Hell's Kitchen I thought the lobster was amazing! The risotto was mushier than other risottos i have eaten. I ordered the beef wellington I had to after seeing it so many times on tv. It came with whipped potatoes, and a few carrots and onions. My husband ordered a steak that came with one larger onion. Even though I was told the wellington was more pink than I usually like. My husand's steak was more cooked then he normally likes. So we each ate half of our meal then traded. Both the wellington and hubby's streak were delicious. Both nicely seasoned. The veggies were Ok. Wish the wellington saw went over the mashed potatoes it was so good. For dessert my husband and I shared a chocolate raspberry cake that was good. But we tried my friend's husband's sticky toffee cake. I finally met up with a few friends--one who lives in the area--and we decided to try it. I'm really glad we did. One of my friends is a native Mexican and an excellent cook, and even she agreed the food tasted authentic. We ordered the huevos rancheros with green sauce, plus both the pork and chicken tamales. Nothing disappointed. The tamales were moist--something I appreciate since many places serve them too dry. The only small suggestion I'd make is for the staff to ask if we'd like extra sauce for the tamales, which would make them perfect. Others in our group tried tacos and tostadas and felt the portions were generous; delicious and the prices very fair. The décor gives you the feeling of a neighborhood spot in Mexico. It's not fancy, but it's warm and welcoming. There were a lot of takeout orders while we were there--and it was only 10 a.m.--with people from all backgrounds coming in and out. Clearly, they have a loyal customer base. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions.  She did a great job checking in often since we were there for hours.   I'm already looking forward to coming back.
