Wow, I'm so glad I checked here on Yelp because I could not figure out what was going on. It sounds like this company has gone out of business?!? I also had great service from the same two technicians for a long time on a bi-monthly schedule. During the last treatment my cameras caught them doing a less than stellar job when I thought to check after noticing that the service was not on par with previous service (webs everywhere, lots of bugs still present, etc). I thought I'd give them a second chance but they didn't show up when they said they would. They basically stopped responding to my text messages and requests for an appointment so I thought to look them up on Yelp. How disappointing! The phone number listed used to go to Tony McClain but it was purchased by another pest control company in Bellflower. He did not notify me that he had shut down the business but his technicians continued to service my property and somehow cash the checks. The Bug Crashers website shows the account has been suspended. Wow. I hope others see this and don't get scammed. read more

The review here sound great but I have my doubts about this company. The guys are very professional and seem very hard working. They charged me $1100 for a full Termite treatment in my crawl space. However, it is difficult to evaluate how good of a job they did. My main dissapointment is that they promised a report of the locations where the chemicals were placed. They never sent it. I thought that was highly unprofessional. Also, warranty details were scribbled on a small piece of paper. Again, somewhat unprofessional. If I could give Tim from Bug Crashers 10 stars I would. We received several quotes for our rat situation and I chose to go with Tim because I could tell he was experienced, but more importantly because I didn't feel like he was messing with us in terms of price or severity of the issue. He's just a nice, honest guy trying to do his job - and he does it well! Tim really went above and beyond in addressing our rat infestation, and later a small termite problem (which could have turned into a much larger issue if it wasn't caught early!) He discovered rat entry points into our home that I'm convinced no one else would have found, secured them, and also vacuumed / sanitized the attic for us - all for a very reasonable price. He was also sensitive to my preference for a non toxic termite treatment. He never left us in the dark about what was going on, was always responsive via text/call and ALWAYS on time - which I feel is hard to come by. I know there is a rat problem in the valley right now and I would absolutely recommend Bug Crashers to solve your infestation problem (or any bug issue) over anyone else. I'm so glad I didn't go with one of the bigger, more well-known companies. Their quotes were absurd and from what I understand just a huge rip off - using scare tactics in attempt to make big sales, which Tim has no interest in doing. Additionally, Tim has worked for some of these larger companies, so you're getting the experience without the inflated prices. Josh came to our home to perform termite and dry rot work. He did a superb job. He is a hard worker, efficient and gets the job done well. They are reasonably priced, and were willing to price match other estimates if necessary. Only drawback, its that no one answers phone. Many instances I found myself leaving messages. I would typically get a call back, but the system could be a little more efficient. Still great service overall. Would recommend!! They are supposed to come for a follow up. Honest. Hard-Working. Thorough. Quick response time. Reliable. Knowledgeable. Well-priced. I picked up the phone and called based on these reviews and it did not disappoint. Tony picked up the phone and stayed with me until the job was done. Amazing! I had swarming termites, rats invading from new landscaping next door...creepy. The previous termite company injected orange oil, try as I might to want to believe that it worked, the 100s of swarming termites attacking my bathroom, proved otherwise. I called Tony and he was straight and told me I need to get the house tented. This was so daunting as I have never done this. I can't put into words how much he eased my stress. Thursday I called. He came in for a free inspection on his day off. Tent went up Monday! House done mid week and mesh put up to protect for rats. They tented my property 18 months ago. I primarily spoke to Tony, who was hard to communicate with from the get go, but the job was done. Now, 1.5 months ago, I had a termite inspection, prior to having new tenants move in and they found evidence of termites. Since Tony gave me 3 years warranty, I wanted to have him come by to see if the warranty covered me. I sent 8 emails (twice a week on average), called the office, left voice messages - and nothing, NO RESPONSE. I could only assume that they were either out of business of simply didn't want to take responsibility for the warranty they offer, and perform a service for no pay. now, about the emails, even if Tony isn't working there anymore, the emails WERE received and probably "captured" by the site's email server (they were never sent back with a message of "delivery failed") - and in addition I left at least 6 voice messages on the phone. After the 3rd message I got a "voice mail full" message, and so I thought they are not receiving messages anymore (out of business or something), but two days later, I could leave messages again, which means someone listened and deleted some messages. Those who follow my reviews know i understand the weight a good or bad review can potentially mean to a business. Writing this one breaks my heart because I know that Tony means well. He does try to remedy mistakes and short comings and he's never passed the buck to anyone else. However, after awhile mistakes, short comings and bad communication skills (with his own people as well as customers) adds up. When I needed a new pest control company I went with Bug Crashers because of their stellar reviews. When I first called I made it very clear I require at least 24 hour notice before spraying. We work with a cat rescue organization and put out traps to catch ferrels (to spay/neuter) and during kitten season we try to catch the young ones for socializing and placing in homes or foster. Tony said he would make sure I was notified. While at first this was honored, at the worst possible time it was not. Because of no communication between front office and employees spraying was done without notice and hidden kitten traps (which would never have been put out) were directly hit. Other issues seem petty to that one but I will list them anyway. Receipts had to be asked for. No receipt ever had the company name or address. The company moved twice during the time we were with them and we were never informed. Only after checks came back as undeliverable, or phone calls made to ask for a current company address did we find out they'd moved. After payment was received by the company they never followed up with a paid in full statement (either by mail, email, or just leaving it along with the new bill) so the only paperwork in our possession was a request/demand for services rendered that was yet unpaid. I can only speak for our own experiences and why we no longer employ Bug Crashers. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting both Tony for my inspection and Tim for the termite treatment in my home. Both these guys are hands down amazing. I could write an entire article just on the customer service experience alone I had with these two guys. From the moment you met either Tony or Tim you'll realize they take pride in what they do. Tim came out to our house and performed a very thorough inspection... sure enough, our home had termites, and he showed me exactly the locations where the infestations occurred. In addition, our home had a ton of dry rot, as the previous owners didn't spend too much time maintaining the structure outside. Tim gave me a very reasonable quote (one of the best deals I could find), and on top of that, these guys kept their word and did not go above that price. There were a few additional things that Tim and Tony found as they were doing the work, but they didn't even charge extra for it. They informed me that they built homes previously, so they could pretty much fix anything you need. Highly recommend using their services. We recently had an issue with termites in the family room and it was only because we were remodeling a built in book case that we found out about the termites. So we went to Yelp to look for a good termite company and found Bug Crashers. Fortunately, we already knew the owner and operator of Bug Crashers (Tim). We met Tim when he was working for an established termite company in the past and used that company's services in a previous house. We were delighted that Tim has setup his own pest remediation company because our past experience with Tim has been very favorable. We called Bug Crashers and spoke with Tim and he came in and checked the termite infestation and recommended a treatment. We scheduled for the treatment work and Tim came on time to do the termite remediation. Tim really did a great job with the termite remediation. On that day we discovered the termites, there were some that were flying around and after Tim's treatment, there were no more flying nor crawling termites. We were happy with the quality of Tim's work: very thorough, professional and reasonably priced. Tim really did a great job with taking care of our termite problem and we're writing this Yelp review to help other customers looking for a reputable, honest and very capable termite remediation company. It was $150 to spray the whole perimeter- They even offered to do the inside as well but we declined since we have a pet and luckily, haven't seen any creepy crawlers inside. We were seeing black widows daily and since they sprayed, we haven't seen one anywhere. Thinking we'll spray twice a year from here on out. read more

First off, I am writing this review about 2 & 1/2 months later than I had intended! These guys, Tim and Ron, at Bug Crashers Termite & Pest Control are GREAT! Like a whole lot of people, I am afraid of spiders, and every year, when the weather gets hot, spiders want to come into my home and chill out. Last summer and into fall, I think I killed a spider nearly every single day - big ones, small ones, black ones, brown ones, skinny ones, and thick ones. No joke. I was over it. Soooo very over it!! And, if you are truly afraid of spiders, like me, you will understand when I say... my nerves were fried. This year, I said to myself, was going to be different. I am a grown-up - a very grown, grown-up, and I do not have to put up this!! I CAN CALL THE PROFESSIONALS AND PAY THEM TO HANDLE IT FOR ME... and that is exactly what I did...and I could not be happier!!! I called Bug Crashers in mid-May, after not hearing back from a couple of other services within the 24-hour period they promised. Ron, however, answered the phone within a few rings (amazing!) and I told him about my problem. It was a Wednesday, and I asked, if, by chance, they could squeeze me in for an appointment that upcoming Saturday morning. They had a spot, arrival between 10:00-11:00am, and I took it. Ron said he or Tim would be coming. Tim arrived on-time, and was really wonderful!! He was very thorough and took the time to not only go over all the regular spots like the baseboards, but also the trouble spots, which for my home are around the front door - inside and outside, and the windows. I am on a second floor, and Tim even reached to spray the outside of a window that is close to the front door. Let me also say, he sprayed very thoroughly under my bed, as I requested...because waking up, thinking you felt a spider in your bed while you were sleeping... or waking up with spider bites, at least for me, is awful!! .... (Tim: thank you, thank you, thank you!!) I was and am still so grateful!! The results have been amazing!! NO SPIDERS... well, to be honest.. two. One, I am pretty sure, was already in my home, before Tim got there. I found it the next day, and I think it was driven out from wherever it had been hiding, and the other was just a couple of days ago, a very small one. ... However, let me say, we are about 1 and 1/2 months - or about 45 days - into summer, and by this time last year, I had probably killed close to that many spiders... so two, in my opinion, still warrants a very, very good review!!! Seriously, these guys are REAL PROS and I am so very happy with their service!!! I have already recommended them to a friend of mine, and wholeheartedly would do so for anyone in their service area who needs help, like I do. This is truly heartbreaking. I was so very supportive of these young guys just starting a new business. They were so sincere and nice. For a while, they did just great. About six months ago, they started not showing up unless I called to remind them that they failed to service the property. They were always "so sorry" and it wouldn't happen again. They did not come in May or June. Tony told me the company was out of business and he "thought he had called me" to tell me. I saw the April invoice had a different name and phone number, plus a Reseda address that was new. I called and talked to Tim, who assured me that they were still in business, but Tony had left. Once again, so sorry. Tim did come out once and was paid on the spot to encourage and assure him. I've not seen him since. He's ignored THREE texts about the ant infestation I'm experiencing, and his cell phone robot-message says that, "this number does not have a voice mail set up as yet." Who has a business with no way to leave a message. I'm really disappointed in Bug Crashers, who appear to have crashed themselves. read more

My apartment was infested with bed bugs my landlord had hired Terminax to treat our place after a month their were still around because these people didn't do the right treatment. It's pretty rare you come across a businessman like Tony. My experience with him was great. Imagine you have convinced yourself that you need new tires and you go to the tire shop to get new ones, and the sales guy tells you that you don't need new tires yet. You can drive another 10k miles on these. That's essentially what I got from Tony. He didn't try to sell me anything. He told me my house looked good which was reassuring. We walked around the perimeter and looked at some trim that had dry rot, he gave me an estimate and that was it, he also said I didn't need to do the job right away but the sooner the better. I haven't had a chance to get other quotes on the work but I expect Tony's price to be fair and competitive. It was a pleasure meeting Tony and I plan on calling on him in the future. read more
