THIS IS NOT A COMPANY- BEWARE!!!!! Joe is the worst imposter of customer service! On top of being unprofessional, he tried to scam me. My initial call in making my appointment, I was told the assessment is free. When these guys dropped the ball(things happen sometimes) I called Joe to express my concerns- Joe needs customer service training. He went from 0 to 1000 and tried to charge me $25 for the no show!!! It's sad today to come across people who work in a field where they have no integrity or people skills. Security called to verify the tech's entry into the community. 25 mins later my husband calls me, puzzled as to where the tech is. Long story-as short as I can make it, Mike- the tech went to someone else's home, asked her if he could assess her property for Pest Control, assessed "her" property and left. Great, my husband is out of a day of work, we're still stuck with a problem and a very disgruntled, non accountable Joe after I called to address the issue. Let me add this...Mike- the tech called me and if I'm being honest, I thought to myself, this guy sounds really old(but ok).....I don't think I was too far off according to how things turned out. Having a conscious & taking accountability Mike called me back and said he'd come back after his appnt- that I would be his last one for the day. Joe called me back being spiteful after I corrected him about the charge/scam and said Mike couldn't come back & he doesn't know when they'll have availability. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I rarely run into issues due to the help of the community being active on Yelp and I def misstepped this time. Joe, word of advice- if you have any drop of integrity, spare this "company" by leaving before it crumbles. People work hard to build something from the ground up to provide for their families. A week ago we saw a 4ft rattle snake a few blocks down from our house. We called the fire dept and reported it but it left my wife shaken and with our 3 year old in the car and small dog we decided we needed to do something. I called speedy regarding a snake fence on our property. Within a day Joe was here and was so knowledgeable! They started work soon after and now the fence is installed and our peace of mind is worth every penny... which, by the way was reasonable! The whole process was amazing. They were professional and I know our fence is installed and will last 30 years. No plastic nets with zip ties from Home Depot... we have metal dug down and screwed in. Came home from work on a Monday to find that bees had nested in a hole near the top of my roof and where not active in the walls. Started making phone calls at 4:30pm to see how quickly we could get someone out. Speedy was not only the only placed that answered the phone, they suggested they may be able to get someone out later that night, or at worst first thing in the morning. When the clock struck 8pm, I figured next day it was. Then at 9:30pm they arrived. They were nervous about making too much noise for my neighbors, but after I got them on board, in the pitch black dangling on a 12 ft later in full beekeeper gear, they took care of the issue. The next day - the bees were gone. Couldn't have asked for better service, and the price was extremely reasonable given the time frame the job was done. read more

I have been debating if I should should write this review or not. Reason being, they are nice people and Joe does good work, I think. More than a complaint, I only want to share my experience with this exterminator for the benefit of other consumers. I will just state the fact and a few tips. My issue was rats in the attic. Tips: Speedy's Pest Solution only seals entry ways and sets traps where easily accessible. They DO NOT go into the attic, clean up debris from pests, inspect areas where the pests lived for damage or waste, give appointment windows, document what was fixed / sealed and what was not, communicate well with office and tech, stick to their every 2 day check up when there is a holiday or weekend in the way, REMOVE DEAD RATS FROM PROPERTY, schedule follow up visits in advance, take pictures of all their work. Again, this is all stuff they do not do. Maybe my experience was unique, but I'm not sure why, he was paid up front, in total. When I received the quote for 750.00$ to remove rats and seal all entry ways, I thought it was a little high. I asked their office if the 750 included clean up and which entry ways would be sealed. Susana replied and said Joe would take before and after pics to make sure all was documented Incase a warranty issue came up down the road. I felt good about that. Joe then contacted me and told me he does not do clean up and it's a major hassle. Said that the rat poop in the attic eventually turns to dust and goes away. I let him know I was worried as the rats had been up there for about 3 months or more. Joe told me he would take a look at the area of the attic where the rats lived and do a spot check for damage or health issues. He also said he would clean up anything that was easily accessible, as long as it wasn't hidden by the insulation. He never did go all the way into my attic, or attempt to assess rat damage in the attic on that side of the house. I let him know I felt the price was high. He let me know I get what I pay for in this industry and he does excellent work. Ok I was sold. Scheduling issues arose right away for the follow up visits. Either Susana would not communicate my scheduling requests to joe or joe would just say to hell with it and show up unannounced or call to show up at a time when I already to Susana I was not avail. I never did find out what their scheduling policy was as it changed a few times. At one point Joe said they don't do "appointment windows". Yet all appointments till that point where based on a window of time, usually 2-4 hours. Before the job was over, I asked for the pictures I was told I would receive in an email from Susana, at the time of invoicing. (Even though they invoiced me on day 1). Per the email, I was to receive before and after pics of all work and repairs. This did not happen. I received 5 pics today of 3 repairs, after the work was done. I believe he repaired 10-20 vents, roof pipes and other access points. I actually don't know because it was never itemized or photographed. Funny part is, joe told my wife on one visit that he was there to take pictures because I requested it. Again, another lack of communication with office and filed. I have an email that says I would receive the pics. I didn't ask for them. Joe did seal all the access points as far as I can tell and his work looks solid, professional. He also removed dead rats from trappings. PROBLEM, he DID NOT remove the dead rats from my property, he put them in a Plastic shopping bag and left the in my trash can. Unfortunately my trash cans are about 10 feet away from my kitchen. So when I have stinky trash or know about it, I put the cans on the curb. One day while making dinner, I smelled dead animal. Found there was 2 dead rats at the bottom of my empty trash can, that had been baking in the sun for a few days YUCK!!! Personally, I can't stand a business that thinks their time is worth more than yours. I am a consumer and and my time is way more valuable than any business out there. You should feel the same. If you are paying for service, it should be on your terms, not the service contractor industry's terms. In closing, I should have listened to an actual rodent removal specialist. I read online that for actual rodent removal, you need someone who specializes in rodent removal, not a general exterminator that does everything. So why the 1 star? Because I was over promised and under delivered, pressured into conforming to a businesses scheduling policy's, forced to clean up dead rats, frowned upon for asking about pictures I was told I would receive and all around inconsistency. Now what matters is the sealing and removal of rats. Yes that is good so far. But don't go charging 5 star prices and provide a 2 star service. read more

first time user and boy am I happy!!!! Orkin had me living with my roach's for a full month telling me that it could take a full year to see full results. They told me I had to call a refrigerator repair man to pull out my fridge where speed's guy came in looked at my fridge and said that he was familiar with and that it just needed a wrench to pull down the wheels built into the fridge and it would pull right out. I hope that the owner reached out to current and recent customers and encouraged them to write a review. I appreciate that the owner took the time to call after my review and I received multiple messages (on Yelp, and 2 voicemails (cell and work)) asking me to remove it. My intention was never to hurt anyone's business, but I won't take it down as it is a truthful account of my personal experience. Things happen! Mistakes are made, and we learn from them. Forums such as Yelp provide customers the opportunity to rate THEIR experience with a company, so future customers can make a valid, well researched decision. That's why I'm happy to see the effort made to get more reviews. One of my biggest points of contention was with the work that was done to fix the damage caused. We asked for the entire ceiling to be painted, and the company said no. Maybe that was a miscommunication between the office manager and the technician, but it's well documented in our emails. That is the only thing that I must respectfully disagree on from the company's response. We chose not to accept the 6 months of service solely based on wanting to move on. When working with Joe, we got the impression that he was the owner and asked both him and Susana, the office manager if that was the case. We were told that he wasn't the actual owner, but in my voicemail, it turns out that he is. I don't know why, when we questioned why the owner hadn't reached out to us, that it wasn't corrected. I was having a terrible problem with rats in my attic and running around inside my home. In the past,I used other pest control companies, but they could never get rid of them completely. I called Speedy's Pest Solutions and they immediately scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out. When he arrived he was so knowledgeable, professional, clean and courteous. He really made me feel comfortable, like I could trust their expertise. After he inspected my entire home, he recommended I have it rodent proofed so I would never have the problem with rats ever again. He also recommended I have the insulation removed and replaced as it was completely contaminated with rat urine and feces. After 3 years of dealing with this problem, I just have had enough of it ! I wasn't sure as to what extent this job would entail. I initially authorized the rodent proofing, then the insulation removal to be done. I was surprised on how professional Joe and his crew were. After rodent proofing and a week of catching all the rats, they then began, the attic abatement.They prepared the areas inside and out of my home covering walls, floor and ceiling areas leading to entrance of my attic. I must add, it was a 3 day process, very rigors but they completed in a very clean and efficient manner. After leaving the attic " squeaky clean " They then proceeded to deodorize and re-insulate the attic with new insulation. My greatest concern was having 2 asthmatic 4 year old twins, but after giving it much thought and listening to Joe's advice and recommendation of removing all form of rodent air-born bacteria, we went ahead with work. The air quality in my home feels free'r, allot easier to breath and even smells better after deodorizing the attic with the herbal solution. I cannot thank Speedy's Pest Solutions enough for such an incredible job performed on my home. The investment we made for our family's health and well being was worth every penny.
