Worst Experience Ever! I had two separate scheduling conflicts where the company did not reach out to their tech Mike or me to confirm a date. Waited for 2 weeks till inspector came out to say he could do the job. Then, the day of the bird removal, he says he cant remove the birds due to the location of the birds though he told me in his prior inspected that he could do it! 3 weeks wasted in total on this company to not be able to help. Keep in mind I got other inspectors who cant start repairs due to the animals still not removed. Thanks for nothing. read more

I have been with Ehrlich and A-Active before that. They were a great local company. Since they were bought by Bug Out the company has seriously gone downhill. I can't say enough good things about our tech. There is no one better! But trying to deal with the remote office is a nightmare. They have a local facility and office but they are not allowed to receive phone calls. I recently had to call three times to the remote phone center to have the tech come out to check a problem I am having. This should have been handled with the first call 6 days ago. I wish this company was better. I had Ehrlich before they sold to Bug Out. I don't understand why Bug Out is so difficult to deal with. I first had problems with them double billing me. It looks like that isn't a problem any more. Now the problem is that I can't reach any one to schedule my annual inspection. Can't do it online. Can't do it by phone. Can't do it by text. Where are they??? Who's working there? Is anybody there????? Can they just take my money and then ignore me? read more

They do not provide a monthly service only every other month. I have called and requested but they state they will not do monthly. Today 8/2/22 I canceled my service and requested an address so I could send correspondence. They would only provide an email and name for someone to speak to. Stated they have several corporate offices. So I guess I will submit this review and file with the better business bureau. Never heard of anyone not doing a service that is requested. Their plan is called 365plus, but I strongly disagree. I also asked to be notified when technician was coming do to the fact I never believed they really did the job, but that didn't happen either. read more

I hate doing this but I'm leaving another bad review. I used Erlich for 8 years. In the last two years they would email the date they are coming and sometimes not show up. In the last 6 months, 3 no shows. I called and was told the tech came by and treated outside. Nope, I was home all day, no one rang the door bell and my 3 rings cameras would certainly pick up his motion. I cancelled the service and canceled the credit card auto pay. I should have demanded a refund for the many no shows. I started getting calls to pay my bill, I returned the call asking them to stop calling. They now auto call just about every day. DO NOT USE ERLICH. Use a local company that has decent management that knows what they are doing. read more

This has nothing to do with the company as a whole but I experienced my first experience with road rage in the chick fil a line with an employee. This dude was irate when he thought I skipped the line, not knowing i ordered online. But after his fit he rolled up his window and stayed next to me the entire time. Pretty creepy. And it sucks that because he's having a bad day he has to try to make everybody else have a crappy day as well. I'll give a decent rating so you don't bring your total rating down but just thought you'd like to know how your employees act when their superiors aren't around. read more

We are extremely satisfied with your company. It was easy to get a hold of you all, have a specialist come out to inspect, and schedule the treatment. Fahti just completed our first treatment today for bed bugs. Upon the inspection he was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and answered every question we had about preparing for the first treatment. Local company pest services are excellent and very attentive. National company is TERRIBLE when you have a money/billing problem. The company charged me twice in my initial billing, it took 6 month to get my acct credited. A friend sign up with Ehlich so I was suppose to get a credit to my acct of $40, it took 6 months to get my money credited. The reason it did not take LONGER was I called weekly to get my money after 2 months, took an additional 4 month to get the credit. Billing in PA. is terrible. read more

The parent company, Ehrlich, really made out when they purchased Aactive Pest Control. Let's face it, the service you receive from just about any company comes down to the people with whom you deal. I have been with this company for approximately 14 years, because everyone I deal with has been fantastic, including substitute technicians and office admin. Our local technician, Thomas Creighton, takes complete ownership and pride in maintaining our home and property. I count him as a friend at this point, and I know whatever we need in terms of pest control, he will be there to take care of it. I can recommend this company without any hesitation as a result. If you are reading this review and trying to decide between Ehrlich and any other company, just pick up the phone and give Ehrlich a try. You may just become a long-term customer like me! read more

Ehrlich Pest Control used to be okay. Now they have gotten really expensive, charge $100.00 per service call on top of $385.00 for their yearly termite service. All they did about my long term rat problem was to put 2 poison bait stations around the house. The rats have apparently become immune for whatever they use for poison. Any calls I have concerning my service are ignored. I canceled my service today. If any company deserves to go out of business, it is them! read more

No thanks. After being a loyal and satisfied A-Active customer since 2002, we rolled with the Ehrlich buyout. Customer service now stinks, from the home office in PA to local. PA now schedules your appts without input about your convenience. Four times I have informed PA and local that a window from 8 AM to 5 PM is a non-starter, but to no avail. Will not pay for half of a service, outside only if there is no access to the house, and told the office that repeatedly. Lots of competent and reasonable local pest outfits so riddance, Ehrlich. read more

Very through and professional service staff. We are very pleased with the service. The only weakness this company has is the office answering software and the automated calls for a scheduled service call. The system is junk. Our service person shared his cell phone number and made having to deal with the office directly unnecessary. This has worked perfectly and made it easy to schedule convenient service calls. read more

Daniel is always very good in calling before arriving so I can just the dog in the house. There have definitely been signs of activity and I am sure the signs would be in house instead of outside. This company was originally A-Active. A-Active was our pest control company ever since we moved into our newly built home 30 years ago. It was great when it was a family owned and operated business. Then, about 14 or 15 years ago, it was bought out by another local individual. Although the service continued, they were constantly suggesting expensive projects to reduce the moisture under the house, some of which we had done. When a moisture/termite situation arose where they were requested to make the necessary repairs as per our contract, it was like pulling nails to get them to honor their contract. Finally, we were notified a couple of years ago that the company had been sold to J. C. Ehrlich, a national company. The service went down big time at that point. What really made us decide to leave this company was that each year, every July, we paid our annual fee and made an appointment for a technician to come out and inspect around and under the house for termites, water damage, etc. Well in July of 2016, we got the bill and paid it, and when I called to make the appointment for the inspection, they notified me that they were no longer A-Active and they wouldn't be sending out anyone to inspect until after the first of the year. I let them know I wasn't happy about that, and there was no one local I could speak to. The big national company now calls the shots, and they don't know me from Adam. BTW, when you call the local number, you get the 1-800 call center and get to speak to someone from out of the country. Anyway when July of 2017 rolled around, here comes their bill, but no under-house inspection had yet been conducted. When I call the call center, one lady said someone had been out in January. I told her if anyone was out here, they would have only looked around the perimeter of the house, because no one had been out here, suited up, and gone under the house for over a year. I called them in August and told them I wanted to cancel our contract. I finally got a call from someone local who said they were with Ehrlich. They left a message, but we didn't return the call. At that point, we had decided to leave and go with a company which was locally owned and operated. Ever since then, we kept getting a bill for $113.00, I suppose for their ineptness in sending out a technician to retrieve their Sentricon stations. I spoke to a young lady back in December regarding the bills. She said she saw where we had canceled and the bait stations had been removed. She said she would speak to someone and have them get back with me. Can you hear the crickets chirping???? Anyway, we just received another bill from this company, and we decided just to get them off our backs, we'd go ahead and pay them. This is one lousy company now. I have been a customer for over 17 years. Since A-Active was purchased by Erlich, the quality of service, customer facing representatives, call center attention to detail, and general customer service has suffered to the point we are ready to go with another Pest COntrol Company. No company is perfect but the hoops that have to be jumped through as a customer to get a simple answer to what services were performed at my house is ridiculous. Contacting the local office is no longer an option, rather you need to go through a call center where customer satisfaction is not a priority. We have customers since the original company (Buddy's).. who then became A-Active. This is the first time in 26 years that we are not happy with the service. Service tech came for the Annual Termite Inspection. The tech wrote that the fans needed to be left on in the crawl space - longer. We called and asked what about the actual inspection.. any notes. He said he would get back to us. We called again, left a message. It has now been 3 weeks... still NO response. So what did we really pay for. read more

After several visits trying to eliminate carpenter ants with no success, I finally got a WONDERFUL technician Ronnie Allen, who went above & beyond trying to eliminate them coming into my house. I ask if I could have him as my personal technician, I was told I could, I even called the scheduler to make sure he was put on as my technician, again I was told of course, didn't happen. I can only have inside of house sprayed on Tuesday as it is the only day I don't have a toddler in my house, hasn't happened yet. While I am mostly satisfied with Ehrlich, I want my wishes met & to feel like they care an honor my request as to who makes me most comfortable if I am to stay with this company. Ronnie Allen was the only technician who ask me questions about numerous areas & problems concerning my house, he was patient with all the questions I had for him & answered them all, I didn't feel like I was getting the brush off, he was very concerned where my toddler was in contact with when he sprayed inside the house, I just felt like I mattered to him & I trust him. read more
