The service so far has been great, their technicians are respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The problem I am facing right now is that their billing/quoting software incorrectly provided me a service agreement starting in June without a payment charge expectation for the month of July and due to the error in the system, they have made the decision not to honor the service agreement and charge me anyways. When I signed the agreement, I was under the assumption the month of July was part of the $250 initial treatment to get an infestation under control, now I understand that all I was being provided was two initial treatments. I will continue to use them for the time being as I prefer supporting local and their technicians are high-quality to my knowledge, but am highly disappointed in the fact they refuse to honor the service agreement they provided me. If they make this right, I will adjust this review, but not until then. read more

Robert Dale, Ty, and Joe came to seal and replace the lining of plastic. They also installed my dehumidifier to the existing electric outlet. They fixed a section of subfloor and installed a new access door. These men were so nice , hospitable, and profiecent. Highly skilled Team! I am delighted to write this update to my experience with Back Bay Pest & Mosquito. After my unfavorable review of the company, I was surprised to receive an email from Jacob, the owner. He was extremely apologetic for my bad experience and expressed his intention to do whatever necessary to win back my trust. Often when people say this, they don't really stand behind it, but Jacob was absolutely awesome and completely made good on his promise. He helped me get my termite coverage reinstated and helped me to get the letter I needed for closing on the sale of my house. But what impressed me most was his professionalism and integrity. He wasn't willing to simply sign off on the condition of my crawl space until he verified that the letter was accurate and the house was safe. He even insisted on speaking with my structural engineer. I have tremendous respect for that! Winter came and we were finding signs of mice activities inside the house. Asked locals for a good pest control and almost everyone I spoke to mentioned Back Bay Pest. We needed help keeping mice out so I put a request for quotes. Graham responded quickly & came by a day after to do a thorough inspection. After discussing what was needed to get rid of them, they came by a few days after to set traps, plug in the holes (inside & out of the house) and set traps, including the attic. They come by every few weeks to check and refill traps if needed! It's been about over a month since we've started working with them and we haven't seen any trace of mice! Back Bay was highly recommended through neighbors on Next-Door. We are now into three weeks after our initial call and found them to be very responsive, efficient and punctual. An attic rodent problem was mitigated by sealing the builders gap in the roofline,sealing some vents and other access problems found in the vinyl siding . They also laid some standard traps and glue traps and then re-checked them over the last few weeks. If the problem reappears, we know we are in good hands. We will follow up here later. read more

I received a call from my tenant that he saw a squirrel climb up on the roof, pull back a shingle, and disappear underneath. I live out of state, so I took to Yelp to find an exterminator. I messaged several, but Back Bay replied almost immediately, and we were able to set up an inspection and consultation within 48 hours. Graham came out, did a thorough walkthrough, and made some excellent recommendations on how to handle our situation. I'm super impressed with the communication and professionalism of Back Bay. Hopefully, we don't need their services again anytime soon, but if we do, they will be my first call. read more

Living in an area that's woody with lakes and ponds all around, it's expected to have unwanted guests. They are so rude, they come into your house as if they pay rent or something! So I needed a company who can stop them in their tracks and based on Back Bay's customer reviews on Yelp, I took my chance and reached out to them. They contacted me within hours and had someone come out the next day to do my initial service. He was very thorough and inspected any point of entrance that any pest can come through. It's been about 4 months and no unwanted guest has came back or if they did, they were dead !YAY! They are family owned who cares about their customers unlike the big names. Good communication and I like the fact if they need to get in touch with me, not only do they call and leave a message but they will text me too! Hector who is my tech is very nice and accommodating. We been using Back Bay for a few years since buying our home and having some roach problems. Their amazing treatment fixed our roach issue the first time. We have a quarterly visit to prevent any future issues and we haven't had any. Thanks guys. Keep up the amazing work. Also forgot to mention that these gentlemen wear booties on their shoes before coming into your home. They tell you before they come in from the outside. I had a tech (Cox Cable) one time stepped inside from the backyard and tracked mud with his boots unto a $500 area rug and my wife made him grab all his sh#% and leave immediately. Greg just left after doing our initial treatment! Great guy! Super knowledgeable! Even let me know my windows were a bit wonky and not closing properly which is obviously an easy entrance for pests. During the consultation they were very informative, we consulted for wasps, mice, mosquitoes. They found no nests which was important because someone in our household is allergic to wasps. After reading reviews I wanted to go with them versus somewhere else but then they tried to lock me into a contract, which after reading reviews seemed like no one else was which is why we went with them in the first place . We're military and sometimes that's not feasible so the best we comprised on was 6 months. When they came out the first time the man put down traps I could have got a retail store, I explained to them that I wanted something more humane so then they replaced it. I was super optimist at first about the services but after finding several wasp nests myself, being talked into a contract, and seeing that I could have done pretty much what they do I am just waiting for our "contract" to expire and finish up pest services myself or elsewhere. read more

They did a two prong approach: catch them if we can and prevent them from coming back. Different sets of people for each jobs. All super friendly all professional.
