My husband and I have been going to Bugatti's for years. It WAS one of our favorite places to eat. We ate there last night and were VERY disappointed! They downsized their menu, our favorite dishes were gone! My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. It was VERY bland. The meatballs had no flavor unlike what we had in the past. I had the lobster tortellini. It was okay, but kinda pasty and the little bit of lobster that was in it was overcooked. On a positive note, the service was okay. I've ate here multiple times and haven't ever had a bad experience. I've usually been there during lunch hours on weekdays. Usually order what they have for the lunch special that day. I've tried so many things, even off of the regular menu, and I haven't found something I just love. Something I would order every time I go back. Everything I have is just ok to me. Not bad but not amazing. I do really like their bread and olive oil dip they have tho. That's good. Overall I would recommend this place. So I used to love Bugatti's. I would treat myself to the steelhead dinner once a week. Well a few weeks ago I wasn't feeling well so I decided to order my favorite off of Bugatti's website and have it delivered via Postmates. I get an email telling me that my food had been delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS and then another email a few minutes later that the driver tipped themselves after not delivering my food to me. I called and spoke to the OC manager and she told me that I had to contact Postmates. So I call Postmates and they tell me that since the food was delivered (to someone else) that it is no longer an "active order" and only Bugatti's can refund my money. I call back to Bugatti's and speak to the manager and she tells me that there's nothing she can do. So the next day my husband calls and speaks to the actual owner named Cheryl and she says she'll get the money refunded by the next day but SHE NEVER DID. I had to call my bank and take it up with them. You know what's sad about this? im a reasonable person and a repeat customer and this could have been fixed so easily. I would have been satisfied with an apology and a replacement meal but I guess repeat customers don't carry much weight with this restaurant. They would rather loose business than make it right. On principle, my family will never eat here again. I'll drive to LO and give my business to a nice little family owned Italian restaurant that values their customers. read more

I've just had one of the worst meals I've ever had. I ordered the prawns and lobster tortellini and a Caesar salad. The salad was fine, nothing special, but the pasta was TERRIBLE. The prawns, or should I say prawn, because there was literally only one was rubbery tasted like it had been frozen. The lobster was just as bad, freezer burnt and flavorless. The artichokes and sun dried tomatoes were not a good accompaniment to this dish at all. Plus parts of the artichokes were inedible as they were like hard pieces of skin. I'm not necessarily dogging this whole place because I have had decent meals there years ago, but that meal was just awful. read more

My husband and I come here often. The staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. We're steering clear of gluten this year, so we almost always skip the bread (which is a shame because it's so tasty!), and split a Cobb salad and a pizza (south of France is my favorite) with gluten-free crust. read more

Service was extremely slow, we waited almost 10 minutes just to order drinks and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The pace of service was pretty consistent throughout our dinner and we only had to ask for bread three times before they finally brought it to our table. The service was wonderful! The food was not so wonderful in fact my shrimp was rubbery and over cooked and instead of mix veggies I got a hunk of broccoli. My husband enjoyed his food but also agreed it was nothing great. I guess for 60.00$ dinner I expected more. I will give them one thing beside excellent service there Martinis are amazing. Well, we went back after a play to try their Happy Hour menu. Pretty great! My husband had the lasagna off the regular menu and though not a pasta fan, finished it off, so it must have been good. Our friend had the penne pasta and liked it. I had the Margherita Pizza and a Caesar salad - both were really good. The burger on the happy hour menu looks great, think I'll try that next time. We had a server that was awesome, though I don't remember his name - he was attentive, but not overly so. Now I will go back, glad we tried again. read more

This was such a terrible experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I went in a big group and it started out good, but then we found a piece of chewed gum on one our friends plates right under his sandwich. Once we alerted the staff the made him a new sandwich, but still proceeded to charge him for it. When my friend asked that they not charge him because of the inconvenience, they were really rude about it. Also, after we payed the bills we were all planning on leaving cash tips on the table but before we could the waitress talked to us like we were 12 & explained that "when we get older we need to leave tips & that the money goes to the staff and the dishwashers and her and the chefs" which we all understood AND WERE PLANNING ON LEAVING TIPS. TIPS ARE NOT MANDATORY BY THE WAY ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GET CHEWED GUM LEFT ON YOUR PLATE. We will not be returning or recommending this place to any of our friends. Very rude. read more

I have eaten here twice now and am completely in love. Both times I had excellent servers, the food is over the top good, and very reasonably priced. $11 for a medium pizza . Plus they have gluten free options, but my favorite is that they have zucchini noodles, a very healthy option. I will have to eat here every time I visit! read more

Extremely dissapointed with this place. I hadn't been here in a couple of years. My first choice for dinner was closed, so we ended up here. In laws visiting from out of town. Everyone tired and hungry. I knew from past visits that the food was hit or miss mediocre to somewhat passable. If you are a gourmet foodie you will understand. If your expectations aren't to high you will be fine. Frankly that's what I was going for. Don't order the shrimp they came butchered, over cooked, rubber balls, and scarce. The shrimp were weird shapes, the cook clearly didn't know what they were doing. Chef noway, I would say he should only be allowed to wash dishes, but that would be unfair to dishwashers everywhere. To make matters worse, he seemed to think it appropriate to meet our party in the dining room and threaten us. Now that is inexcusable, no matter how dissapointed the guest is. The manager was doing just fine on her own, without the interference of the kitchen staff. She was very gracious and accommodating. read more

I have alway enjoyed Bugatti's food. We have visited them on many occasions over the past 20 years likely more. The first on we ate at was the original I believe, in West Linn Highway 43. I worked at Pasta's for many years and knew some others that worked there and recommend it highly. They were right, scampi was juicy fat shrimp in a lovely garlic lemon maybe white wine sauce and the best mozzarella, basil and fresh tomatoes melted over crusty sliced bread with balsamic and EVOO. I LOVED IT, it was the best I had ever had made perfectly. Now they only do this with sliced mozzarella NOT MELTED. It's okay, but I don't enjoy it enough to order it. I used to go for that and soup or salad and it was a marvelous meal. Lately the food has been short of spectacular, definitely not bad but for sure very average. The scampi made with prawns? Nope small scale shrimp, not even the large but probably medium, disappointed. Last time we went I got the Vongole, and it was okay also. But lacked the love of a chef I believe. I love this restaurant as it's very warm and friendly, beautiful bar and busy quite often. I just miss the good ole days when love of family recipes and competition to other foodies kept a kitchen pumping out spectacular sauces and creative specials. America WERE IN A RUT. I was a server most of my adult life on and off while raising my family and working dinner hours so the kids dad could be home with them. Daycare for 4 is not an option lol. This might be as good as it gets in Oregon City. Just slightly upscale, but still okay for a "before or after the movie" in blue jeans dinner. There is enough variety to suit most tastes, including those that aren't crazy about Italian food. I used to work across the street, and I've never had a bad meal here. I've never experienced poor service here, either, although the staff do get backed up, just as they do at any popular restaurant during peak hours. Here's the secret to this review: the blue cheese dressing. Seriously. I don't know where they get it, but if you're a aficionado of bleu cheese/gorgonzola, you're gonna love this! If you go for lunch and go for a burger instead of pasta, have 'em coat your beef with it: Mmmmmmm! Now I've gone and done put myself into a Bugatti's Jones. My brother in law and mother in law are both gluten-free and Bugatti's is very good and careful about keeping the gluten away from your order; and their gluten-free pasta is wonderful, you can hardly tell its GF. This must be a really popular place because my friend and I went there and it was packed. The food is awesome and the service is great. My only complaint would be that it seemed crammed; that is probably because they were so busy. The price of the food is just above moderate and the quality of food is just above moderate so it balances out. The restaurant itself has a very clean and classy look and feel. We ate here on a Monday night. The food was great - the bread they provide included oil and vinegar. Excellent. I recommend the stuffed prawns. I wasn't too hungry and the portions were huge. Maybe a little to big for me. The service was a little slow. If you're here for a long meal this is a decent place to spend some time. Second visit. We won't be back. Our family of four was seated at a small table for two. When we asked if we could move to a booth (the one next to us was just getting ready to leave), we were told that since there was a wait, we couldn't switch tables. Moment later, TWO people were seated in the booth. Quality of the food was poor. The Caesar salad looked like it had been sitting out for a day or so and then put back in the refrigerator. I stopped by Buggatti's for lunch with my nephew. I have eaten there before. But it was close to where he lives. Got seated right away. And the staff was friendly. I ordered a Chicken burger. They advertised their burgers as 1/3 lb. This sure doesn't apply to the chicken burger. When it came. I had to open it up to see if it was my order, as I couldn't see any chicken. I am used to most chicken burgers I order other places having the chicken hanging outside of the bun. Not here. The size of the chicken breast was the smallest I have ever been served. Other items people were eating around us looked nice size and good. I would not order the chicken burger again. read more
