What a great experience for the kiddos. My girls received a gift card for Xmas so that brought us into B-A-B for the first time, the environment was busy and positive. Exp: We were greeted by a very nice gal Mel once inside and moved our away around the store before settling on a Poppy & Toothless stuffy. They had so many options, we were also provided the current sale happening. After choosing we had options to chose a voice over for each stuffy, purchased one each for Poppy then Toothless, Mel assisted us in completing the process then guided us over to the "fill" line. Once there we were greeted by another employee, Vanessa. She chatted with each of my girls and was very upbeat and polite, just very sweet. Each stuffy was filled then a heart was chosen to place inside before being sewn up. Afterwards we headed to attire and accessories to clothe each. Process was fun and exciting for my girls. Price points were not too bad, considering the individualized fun. We ended up paying around $45 for each. Overall a good experience & would gift this in the future to someone else's child.

Tobi was amazing and very helpful and made our Day magical would definitely come again

More employees being busy gossiping or something

The one girl working was sweet. But as you can see in the photos the other 5 employees were at the counter yapping away, while I waited in line. I made eye contact with 3 of them and they walked past me. Anyway hopefully management sees this and gives that poor girl a raise while firing a few of the other dead weights. I don't know maybe I'm too harsh for I can only imagine the absolute nightmare it must be to walk 6 feet to stuff a single bear and send me on my way.

A bit pricey just for a stuffed toy in my opinion, but a cool experience for kids to do at least once! For the first time in history, Build-A-Bear decided to do a "pay your own age" day and it ended up being a horrible idea because of the long lines (probably longer than some at Disneyland). To compensate, those that signed up for the bonus membership specifically for that day received $15 vouchers via email. Appreciate that a lot so I had to take my kid. First, you choose a bear or character from the wall. Next you get in line to stuff it; you can add cool things like sound and scents before the stuffing process. P.S. the cotton candy scent smelled so bomb we had to get it. My son was super excited and happy the entire time and thought it was cool how he put the heart inside (AKA his love) inside of the toy. Then you move on to the fluffing station and dressing room. Last thing on the agenda before paying is creating the birth certificate on the computer. And boom, your baby's new baby is read to go home!

My son comes here every year for his pay your age Bear. We happened to be shopping near this location during the month of his birthday and stopped in. The stuff here is absolutely delightful and makes it such a great experience for the kids, they take their time and really care for them. They have a vast selection of toys and clothing as well as stations to wash, dress and groom them at. Fun mall pass time that your kids will really enjoy.

Our first visit to this location was during the "Pay your own age" event this year. They did it a little bit differently by sending out Golden Tickets to select children via email. We had never attended one of these events in the past because of the ridiculous lines so I can only judge on our current experience. We arrived an hour early just in case and there was literally NO LINE! We were in and out in 15 minutes and my son was happy that he snagged his stegosaurus. The selection was great and there were only two that were excluded from the deal. You can't beat $6 for a Build A Bear! The event was organized and most of the staff was very helpful and friendly. My son was able to press the peddle to stuff the animal and the young man working with him was super kind and made his experience memorable. There was only one woman that wasn't smiling and didn't have the most welcoming demeanor and it seemed like she was in management. That would be the only reason I didn't give this review 4 stars. She was working the register and that was my last perception after leaving the store. Visiting this store is definitely a once... maybe twice a year event because it is a little spendy for a stuffed animal. BUT you're definitely paying for much more than an animal. It's an experience and the smile on your child's face is priceless when you leave. One last thing! If you're military they do offer a 10% discount which is awesome and appreciated.

Teddy bear outfit (cap and gown) fits my 5lbs Pomeranian!! Lol

Didn't have anymore houses for the animals! Also pay your age was a joke! Got the coupon but was only allowed to use it for one of my kids!

My kids love this place but the only reason I give it a 3 stars is because it is pretty expensive.

They also have make believe dress up costumes/outfits, books, sensory natural playdough, etc. always a stop after we go finish the farmers market.

I appreciate they quality of the toys they carry and how they most gear towards imaginative play. They even have the ABCs in braille thank you for selling things like this. It's so hard to find adaptive toys in person. I also love that they have a play area for kids to enjoy while parents shop. I can tell that you are really here to serve the community and you care about the littles. The woman who was there when I went was so kind and attentive. She did not hover over me (I was the only one in the store at the time) but she gave me my space to look around. Great quality toys, awesome service, and genuine care towards kids is what your shop radiates to me and I love it. I hope you stay open for a really long time. These are the stores I like to have available to visit and support.

They also have a few small claw machines. Overall a great variety of items to choose from. Prices are very fair for both tokens and merchandise; they're definitely comparable to or slightly cheaper than bigger stores. They also have a trade section for blind buys and a fun game to try for more prizes if you turn in your empty capsules! Plenty of parking in their shared public lot. Very chill ambiance - not too overstimulating but definitely a fun vibe to shop around in. I adore how the owner has decked out the store. My family and I had the best time here. 1000/10 recommend!

We came half an hour before closing, and decided to take a little walk around the shop. The exterior is brightly lit with captivating lights and the machines itself are blinking at you, asking you to spend your money! The prices were consistent and decently priced. Since we were window shopping, we didn't ask for any support but a couple next to us did. The person at the register was very friendly and had wonderful energy! If you're finding a specific toy, this place is sure to have it. I didn't end up purchasing anything tonight since I came from the POP MART in Costa Mesa, but I know where to go when I need to!

I rearranged my schedule and made time to come back based on what your staff told me. When I arrived today, I was told they still weren't out yet. When I asked if there was anything they could do since I was specifically instructed to come back at that time, the employee at the front basically acted indifferent and just said there was nothing they could do. I've been in retail for years, and entering inventory into a system is not some massive impossible task. This honestly came across as laziness and a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Don't tell customers to come back at a specific time if you're not actually prepared to follow through. Traffic and gas prices in Southern California are terrible. People are spending real time and money to come support your business, so at least be considerate of that when making promises to customers. I understand inventory processing takes time, but communication and effort matter. A simple apology or attempt to help would have gone a long way. The store is large and packed with product, but there also weren't many customers there, which makes the lack of urgency even more frustrating. The owner should seriously consider improving management and customer service standards because experiences like this are exactly why customers stop coming back.

The store is beautiful. Lots of souvenirs and antiques that you can find. Theres probably something for everyone you want to gift -- theres greeting cards, tea sets, animal statues, rings and necklaces, soap bars and ones dispensers, and other trinkets Normally I dont post about my dislike of being obviously followed in a store, but now it's my turn. I technically shouldnt be salty since I had always been law-abiding, but today was a very surprising one! You can tell based on my pfp that I tend to dress nicely, almost old money or New Yorker style. I was the best dressed of my crew that day, and we were still followed -- and not even in a professional way lol, the person was not slick Cant tell if they were a lady or dude but it was almost certain that they were related to the old ladies working at the store. This person tailed my friends and I wherever we went, to the point of blatantly blocking the already narrow aisles and standing behind people with their arms crossed. I go to Ross Dress for Less a lot and am used to security, of course -- but blocking paths and colliding into people is where I draw the line. And where I start posting a review Come here for trinkets and stuff. But get ready to pay for slightly expensive goods -- it's to pay for the security kid who blocks your path
