Our first time visiting, our family suggested coming here instead of our usual knotts berry farm. I had venti day, on a Sunday, it wasn't busy but well staffed! We went on as many rides as we can, my son is too short for the bigger rides and unfortunately my nephew is too tall for the kid rides. I couldn't believe how much fun it was when there isn't so many people crowding! A few rides weren't working at the time or they said it's been closed such as the gravity one, sawmill, and a boat one that was covered with a tarp. We had so much fun at the arcade, the prizes are the same as any ticket prize location, lots of games and on a hot day it's such a nice place to sit and relax. We didn't try the mini golf or the buccaneer water play area, it wasn't crowded so we definitely could've gone but we stayed at the rides and the arcade. The only downside is we cannot bring any outside drinks or food, we weren't sure if they would allow us to bring dietary restricted foods if we mentioned allergies or intolerances, but we were fine without our snacks. read more

Unprofessional and I don't want to say this, maybe racist worker. My son is 38 inches tall. When we entered the park, we double checked with everyone if there are rides open for his height and we were told there were plenty. Especially for the bumper car because that's what he's really looking forward to first time at an amusement park. So we spent $100+ to get in. When we got bumper car place, there were people in there already playing. We were the only one waiting there, and i asked that staff lady if my son was tall enough to ride the car. She glanced at me and yelled, 'I'll check later'. Even when the ruler was hided next to her, even when there's no one else in the line, even when she's doing nothing just standing there looking at the adults driving bumper cars... she just had us waited and got my son hope so high. When their turn was done, she slowly pushed the car to the side, took out the ruler behind her stand and told us oh he's not tall enough. I held it in, and asked politely if my son can sit at the passenger seat and I'll drive since there were seat belts. She said no way. Only because my 4 years old was so excited to get in there, I tried again, asking ' There's no one here yet, you don't need to turn on the machine, can he just sit on it and feel the bumper car for one minute?' Again, she said 'no way'. We understand you may have a rule to follow, but you could have tell us the second we ask you if we our height meet your requirement instead of getting a kid's expectations so high, letting him watch others playing and having fun, then turn him down while you are not even doing anything except watching bunch white adults riding the bumper car. Castle park could have a ruler showing at front saying below 42" are not gonna have any rides, instead, they charge full price for kids over 36" while have nothing preparing for them. I told him, 'sorry baby, to make sure you are safe, you need to be tall enough to ride that.' And he cried, 'but I waited...' read more

Man this place changed ever since they opened the buccaneers cove (seasonal opening) like 3 weeks ago or so. They added additional parking which 25 and the one that was near where you normally park is now $40 wtf? Even if you have handicap placard still the same price. They now have no outside food or drinks so pretty much buy their over priced drinks and carnival food not everyone eats that crap. This became our family place for our little ones. It's was inexpensive compared to other parks but now that they implemented these rules, ney won't return if I am going to spend a lot I'll go to other theme parks that actually have excitement for the price. Just wow. This was not what I was expecting at all. The tickets were reasonably priced, it was fun for different ages, and the overall vibe was great. We brought our entire softball team here as a fun activity during one of our last tournaments together, and we had such a good time. The parents were able to grab drinks and food and relax while the girls ran around enjoying both the thrilling rides and the more laid-back ones. The park was spacious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would absolutely love to come back and spend more time here. I know I'll definitely be back! read more

We visited Castle Park for the first time for my child's birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The park was not crowded at all and we practically had it to ourselves, so we expected the day to go smoothly. However, the wait times were still long, and not all of the rides were available. We were told this was due to employees calling out on a Friday, but as a guest, especially one celebrating a child's birthday, it was frustrating to pay for the experience and not have access to everything. On top of that, they were filming promotional content during park hours, which also took away from the guest experience. That kind of filming should really be done before opening or after closing so families who paid to be there can fully enjoy the park. I really wanted this to be a fun and memorable birthday outing, but the lack of available rides, long waits despite the park being nearly empty, and the promo filming made the visit feel unorganized and disappointing. read more

Castle Park is not what it used to be. Ever since the new owners took over, they've basically doubled the prices while giving people less. They got rid of the all-you-can-eat food option, made people buy the food pass beforehand, then told us we had to return it once we got there. Nothing about this place feels affordable anymore for local families. What makes it worse is that a lot of the rides still aren't even fixed, so it's hard to understand why prices went up so much in the first place. Castle Park used to be a fun, local spot where families could bring their kids without spending a fortune. That feeling is gone now. The new ownership seriously needs to listen to the community and remember the people who supported this place for years. Greeted at the parking entrance with a lovely lady who was very upfront about the rides that weren't up due to high winds to ensure we were aware prior to entering she was lovely which I appreciated.Geki and Samantha were great when purchasing tickets and ensured I was aware of the rides as well, I purchased 9 tickets regardless since we are from out of town and wanted a little fun. We had such a blast literally enjoyed all the rides we did get to experience which were plenty and did some toss the ball and ring toss with Saul whom was also helped by Jake in accommodating our group. The Big top restaurant had joyful people working even with the influx of people. To end the night the mini golf closed earlier than usual but that was unforeseen Ivan was extremely helpful and empathetic about the situation. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK LOVED IT!! Only reason this place got two stars from me is because my teenagers loved the Fireball rollercoaster and my youngest liked the merry go round. Other than those things this place is mediocre and run down. The train was not in use, the food was so bad we didn't even finish it. The fries were cold, me and my son's burgers were so salty and burnt, my fiancé's "asada fries" were SPICY with some guac and sour cream slapped on top! Just an overall bad experience, then my son wanted dipping dots but they were sold out everywhere inside the park, and it was only 2 hours after opening. On top of that the basketball arcade game took our credits twice, we never got to play a game and it was "nothing they could do about it". Most of the workers SEEMED LIKE nice people but the food was TERRIBLE! Add that to how hot it was, the $20 parking that was marked $15 on the website, my Easter was ehh. Was at Castle Park a couple of weeks ago and the kids were at first excited as they enjoyed it as they went with friends a couple of years ago. Getting into Castle Park, parking is $15. You can pay ahead of time on their website or as you enter the parking lot. There's a good amount of parking for guests. I will say that this park is mostly for younger kids but there is also Miniature Golf and I believe that is an extra cost. What we did not know is that on the day we visited, the Tilt a Whirl, Merlin's Revenge and Fireball were not working that day and we didn't realize that Ghostblasters, Screamin' Demon and another ride, which I can't for the life of me remember was no longer there. A tad bit disappointing but we tried to make the most of it. Be aware that if you haven't been here before, this is a cashless park. Make sure you have a credit card of some sort or use ApplePay. read more

Ok, it's cool that there are 3 things to do here. Parking is a $15 additional, but the ticket prices aren't bad and they do give senior discounts. The rides are fun, but 2 really good ones were shut down so that was disappointing when you pay full price for a park. The beer tent has good cold beers and good fries but for sure, park prices. The water splash "park" area is big and fun, but no lockers. So you can't put your stuff down and walk away. They have 4 mini-golf courses and we played 2 of them. The girl at the counter, when we asked, knew how to describe each course so we knew which 2 we wanted to play (2 are the more fun ones, an easiest one & hardest one). It was good that we were given 3 extra balls when starting in case we lost any over the side. But it was needed because so many got stuck in the transistion ramps. We had to go back and get 4 more balls after so many never came down into the next part of the hole. They really need to do some maintenance on that part of it. But it was a very fun day for the price with all those different things to do! read more

There was once a time I truly loved going here with friends and family, making memories without breaking the bank (that's what the extra star is for), but unfortunately for Castle Park, their new owners have decided to step in and turn a hidden gem into a pathetic cash grab. A lot of the big/fun rides they advertise usually aren't in operation most days, prices have been raised on damn near everything, ruined or should I say "remodeled" the one-of-a-kind arcade, and GhostBlasters is gone. But of course, to top it all off, Lucky Strike "Entertainment" made a senseless choice to dismiss the entire creative team, not long after finishing their Mardi Gras season. (a fan favorite)- -This is upsetting for the workers in this situation, but especially for the kids/guests who really connected with characters, were able to go on rides together, take pictures, and bring a whimsical atmosphere that any good theme park SHOULD have! First, you try to remove Kevin the peacock with no notice & actively avert backlash/questioning. Called out continuously on the lack of communication, and NOW they killed off Duke the Dragon the same way and are trying to wipe clean their socials... Cool, so what's the goal for when Castle Dark (the biggest money maker the park has) comes around? Will there even be a Castle Dark? So many questions, but as stated earlier, they don't seem to like answering those much. Save yourself the time and money, cause its clearly going downhill fast! Crazy thought, maybe if you run the place like a THEME PARK and not like a BOWLING ALLEY maybe it won't inevitably turn into an extension of Kaiser's parking lot. I went to Castle Park for the first time for a work outing with my co-workers. We had such a blast as with miniature golf there. It was so pretty and fun at night. It also helped me connect with my co-workers and get to know them as human beings. Sure, the park has seen better days. It is sad how few people go there because I had heard it used to be a great staple for the city of Riverside in its heyday. No long lines, and rides were all open even the ones for our little girl she had so much fun going from one ride to the other, the older ones got on the rides many times we took the train and enjoyed it so much as well! Friend group always talked about going to play mini-golf somewhere and last Friday, July 5th we made it happen. Things I didn't know, you have to pay for parking and it's $15 and if you pay online you save $2 on mini-golf. I was surprised at how nice the inside of Castle Park was. Some buildings/attractions definitely reminded me of Knott's Berry Farm or Disneyland! Mini-golf was actually really fun and relaxing. One disappointing feature was there was no water in any of the pools by each hole. Another complaint was the weather did not get cool at all once the sun went down and there was no breeze! We were golfing in 83 degree weather up until 10 p.m. Other than that, a fun time was had by everyone in my 35 and over friend group with no kids! I use to come here when I was younger and it's changed a lot. Now they have a splash pad water park which use to be a parking lot for the arcade...that's a nice change. I love the shade the trees provide as you're walking towards the mini golf and arcade, that was great they kept those trees! Back in the day there were magic shows but I don't see that they have it anymore. The park looked clean and well maintained! Keep in mind it is a cashless park. Had a lot of fun at Castle Dark recently! $30 to get in isn't bad, just felt like we didn't have enough time to ride all the rides we wanted, it was 7-10 pm and if you don't get there at 7 exactly, you have a lot less time than you realize. One of the mazes didn't really have actors in it which was kind of strange to me and not that fun. But the one that did have actors was great! Just had a horrible experience with one of their staff member SAGE. She's currently on the bumper cars ride and ruined mine and my family's experience. After waiting for more than an hour, she didnt let us board the ride simply because my kids who were waiting in the shade (at a 105 temperature) were not waiting for the whole hour in the line. Horrible people and horrible experience. I would ask the management to take STRICT ACTION AGAINST SAGE & MATTHEW. I will seek official compliant against these 2 people, who did nothing and some of the folks around even used the F word in a freaking kids park.
