So I went back and checked, told her again that it was marked $1.79 so she marched back with me and I apologized to her that she had to walk back, but it was indeed only $1.79 ...she goes "well, you must be desperate!" and I said "Why am I desperate? For 80 cents?" :D Have to laugh I'm not that cheap or desperate, but just like to pay what the price is marked on the item out of principle. A note: Under California Business and Professions Code Section 12024.2, it is illegal for a business to charge a price greater than what is advertised, marked on a shelf tag, or posted on the commodity itself.
