The Builders Liquidators prices are good, but it's best to get the 10 year warranty coverage.

I bought a new Toro lawnmower from Building Liquidators on eBay; it stopped working properly after 4 or 5 uses. They told me to contact a non-existent eBay "comprehensive online portal", then stopped responding to my phone calls and emails. Based on the other Yelp reviews, it appears that this company's business involves selling reduced price bargains that may well have some type of damage. Local customers shopping at this store in person may know about Building Liquidator's "buyer beware" approach to discounted goods, but I bought the mower from them from hundreds of miles away on eBay; it was listed as "new, in the box" and I had no idea that it might have some kind of problem. When the box arrived, it had clearly been opened and resealed. I suspect now that the mower may have been a return from another customer, perhaps because of the same malfunction, and that Building Liquidators then passed it on to me. Their handling of this situation doesn't speak well for their company's customer service. I'm disputing the charges with my credit card company. Customers should be aware that their state's consumer protection laws or credit card company's policies may offer them additional protection, regardless of what any particular company's policies may state. read more

This used to be a business called Bankers Liquidators. They specialized in water tanks and vanities and other odds and ends for the home. I frequently found many a gem in their store. Years later a new group purchased the co and changes the name. The water tanks are almost gone but now this store is more of a catch all. You never know what you will find and it may be broken. No bueno. read more

(By "Mrs. Art.") I thought I had heard good things about this store from my handyman and some friends who renovate homes. I was expecting deals on quality items with small scratches/dents, like a Sears Scratch and Dent outlet back in the 80s. But this felt very hit and miss. As a homeowner/consumer, I felt very out of place, and the contractors buying roof shingles and pre-mixed paint (there seemed to be a lot of both) gave me curious looks. The items were not nice quality, either. They had vanities for sale with punched-in doors or cracked sinks; and kitchen cabinet doors with broken glass, and other significant damage. Lots of things also that seemed like junk, such as dust-covered, out-of-box (used?) light fixtures. That said, if you don't mind looking past what is trashed, maybe you can luck out with a "find." For instance, they seemed extremely well-stocked in one particular modern style of ceiling fan. read more

I was in a bind and needed to find a water heater quick. I found them on the internet searching for refurbished water heaters, and their prices matched Sears outlet. I think that the service in itself is worth 5 stars. I don't remember the name of the person that I spoke to over the phone, but he was so sweet and pleasant, fast and efficient, and he answered all my questions within minutes. I sent my contractor to pick up the water heater within the hour, and my contractor had to call me afterwards to ask how I found this place. It's an investor and contractor's dream place, and anyone they encountered there were so nice and accommodating, also making sure all the installation parts were provided for. I will most definitely be back to buy more from here! read more

This review represents the two times I have bought something at Bankers Liquidators. The first time was a couple years ago, when I bought a used fridge from them because we moved to our new place and the fridge didn't get cold enough. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after fully stocking it. -_- The fridge wasn't anything fancy, just one of the average fridges you'd find in apartment complexes, but it worked just fine and was relatively inexpensive. The guys here were nice enough to hold it for me when I didn't yet have the truck to haul it. They didn't have to do that, and I want to thank them for that kindness. This most recent time was for a water heater. When I scouted out for the fridge, I noticed that they had a ton of water heaters, and when ours decided to get scary, we started looking at water heaters from Lowes and Home Depot (~$500). These guys had the size we needed for about $200, as well as the connectors and accessories, even the exact kind that we needed as we live in a mobile home and require one that hooks up from the side. Both times, myself and my fiance have experienced very professional and courteous service. Thank you, Bankers Liquidators, for a decent fridge and awesome water heater! Would not waste your hard earned money with these guys. Sell junk, with little warranty. Started lealing not long after purchase and install. Owner would give me $25 towards another pos for just being shortly out of warranty. Never again. read more
