My husband and I stopped in for happy hour and had a fantastic experience sitting at the bar. Compliments to both the chef and the bartender! The cocktails were beautifully presented in elegant stemware--refreshing, well-balanced, and strong. The bar itself is surprisingly large; I'd say it could comfortably seat around a dozen people. Plenty of room to enjoy happy hour, which runs from 4-7, with convenient metered street parking. The happy hour menu offers more than several appetizers. We tried the empanadas, croquettes, and chicken skewers. The chicken skewers were unbelievably tender--honestly some of the best pieces of chicken I've ever had. Whatever marinade they use is magic. They're served on wooden skewers with zucchini, onions, and peppers and were absolutely mouthwatering. The empanadas were flaky (shrimp, chorizo and beef) were packed with flavor and came with a smoky, chipotle-style aioli. The croquettes had a great texture accompanied with a creamy mayo sauce. Each appetizer was $10, and it was plenty of food for both of us, with leftovers to take home. The restaurant has a cozy, dimly lit vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed evening out. Highly recommend, and I can't wait to come back for another round of drinks and tapas--and next time, to try the paella for dinner!

Iberico ham, salad, halibut skewers

At this price point, we expected more - both of the service and the food. Our waiter was intermittently friendly/attentive, and very absent at times (notably, post-arrival of the food at the table). We had no opportunity to complain about certain food items being overcooked (halibut skewers were wayyyy over, as was the calamari, which was rubbery and underseasoned; the Spanish tortilla was inedible - the egg was grey and also quite rubbery). The items we enjoyed: the Iberico ham (which requires no cooking), the meatballs, and the salad. The items that were a huge disappointment (besides the ones mentioned above): the cauliflower (which was straight out of the PF Chang's battered/fried/tossed in a sweet sauce playbook), and the patatas bravas (they're home fries served with a spicy aioli and a ton of paprika, folks - nothing remotely Spanish about them). Long story short: I would not come back here. The food is overpriced, not prepared particularly well, and the service is meh. While I normally like to support a local business, this meal was so disappointing. And: when diners leave 1/2-1/3 of the food uneaten, and have no interest in boxing the leftovers, you should know that you have a problem in the kitchen.

Paella a la marinera

Romantic, great ambiance, easy street parking. The good: cocktails, seafood paella (for two), cauliflower, and pan con tomate. Pass on the albondigas and seared scallops. Both dishes needed more seasoning. I really wanted to try the churros, but ordered the chocolate soufflé. Meh. Pass on that one too. Easy reservations online and you can choose to sit at a regular table or high top. I would come again. The paella and cauliflower were spectacular. Paella takes 45 min, so order some tapas while you wait. Service was great.

One of my friends and I had been meaning to catch up for the longest time, so since we had mutual availability the other night we decided to grab some dinner. We both wanted to try somewhere new to us, and after a little search I stumbled upon Buleria. Menu and reviews looked great - so we decided to give it a shot. Located in Tuckahoe, Buleria is located on one of the main commercial strips near several other businesses. The restaurant was bigger than I expected - walking in you're immediately greeted by a bar and some tables, but then the restaurant gives way to a pretty spacious dining room. The space is modestly decorated - some alight accents and mostly medium wood tones. The floor-to-ceiling windows brought a lot of brightness into the space. Tapas are the main star of the menu, though they also have regular/standard sized dishes and a selection of paellas; they also had a decently sized specials menu. We decided to start with a drink and a charcuterie board. The drink was good - honestly forgot the name of it but it was smooth and sweet (I know that helps a lot - oops). The charcuterie board was nicely arranged - good portions of meats and cheeses as well as complements to enhance the flavors. We were in the mood for tapas, so we ordered a few: crab cakes, shrimp, filet mignon tips, Brussels sprouts, empanadas, and octopus. The portion sizes of each tapa was generous - echoing other reviews here, they were larger than other tapas spots I've been to. In terms of flavor/quality, some were better than others. The shrimp, Brussels sprouts, and filet mignon tips were delicious; the empanadas were fine, though I would like to have seen a more generous filling in them. The octopus lacked flavor, and I didn't like the crab cakes at all - something was really off with them, like they tasted bad. Service was good - the staff made sure were were taken care of and food came out at a good pace. Overall, I had a pretty food experience at Buleria, but the food was kind of hit or miss for me. I would not be opposed to returning to check out out their other menu items - including those paellas.

Fantastic meal. The tapas portions are bigger than any place I can remember, which was good because I wanted lots of bites of everything. The special Shrimp paella sliders were really good. I could eat many more of those. The mussels were also tasty and a hefty portion. The Brussels were good but a tad bit too sweet - also a huge portion. We ended with Chocolate Bundt cake with hazelnut ice cream - epic. They have a huge cocktail list, which truly has something for everyone. Classy spot with classy waiters. It was a very memorable meal.

Patatas Bravas

Beautiful romantic spot that is good for date night, family time, or drinks and laughs. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. The food is delicious as well as are the drinks. We sampled the Patatas Bravas, Croquetas, and Chorizo. All were absolutely great. The red sangria was also really good. More on the sweet side than tart wine taste if you were wondering. Definitely worth making it a regular meet up spot.

Cocktail menu at the bar

Incredible happy hour at the bar--great deals and some of the best cocktails I have ever had with a friendly and knowledgeable bartender. My friend and I shared three appetizers (for $10 each!) and they were all great, the empanadas were incredible with shrimp and chorizo and I loved the dipping sauce. Three appetizers gave between the two of left me with my lunch for the next day! The Lost in Seville was delicious and refreshing and strong and the Fondo Flamenco was warm and deep and sweet and delightfully strong underneath that--I'll have to get the pandan cocktail next time! Lovely atmosphere overall even though it was a little empty on a Monday night (haha the only day my friend was in town!) with warm moody lighting and excellent service from the bartender. Looking forward to coming back!

Great food, perfect ambiance. I went for a pre Valentine's dinner with my husband for the first time. We will definitely be back. Everything we had was amazing including the dessert and service.

Baby squids, tortilla espanola, scallops, fried artichokes...all good but not very hot.

Too expensive for the quality of food. Some dishes are good, others are not, like the ALBONDIGAS, overly cooked, dry meat balls.

I opted for water as my grandson did and his fiancé order a glass of white wine. It was Sauvignon Blanc, and she found very satisfying. For an appetizer, we shared a truffle pizza. It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

The service is always stellar with a good wine menu. The ambiance is peaceful and cozy always with the Garth Road locals who are such wonderful people. But I actually came here twice this week because of their personal pizzas. The manager told me to try it and I fell in love with it, in addition to their mouth watering paella. I even stopped by there yesterday just to have a couple of glasses of wine. Knowing myself, I'll be back there this weekend or next week.
