The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. The octopus was divine - would come back for this specifically. We split entrées and ordered the short ribs, orrecchiette, and Chilean sea bass. Pretty big portions and the flavor to match! A huge kudos to the hostess up front, who navigated a pretty grumpy crowd with such grace. Understandably, it was a very busy day, and the restaurant was packed. The latte was good and I could tell the espresso was high quality. Unfortunately I couldn't get the wifi to connect, so it's a good thing I had my book with me. The table I chose (high top with metal chair) was not super comfortable and part of the table was broken, so it was a little precarious. The bathroom was clean. It's a cool concept, as they also have a bar serving beer and wine, and it looks like a nice community space with events. And it's dog-friendly. If I lived in the area I think I would come here often!
