Came here because of the reviews and ordered a Bulgogi Bowl spicy level 4. To start off with the service was great and very welcoming. The food was super good! The Bulgogi Bowl is packed with flavor and as you eat it more and more flavors come through. I really like spicy so next time I will order spicy level 5, but the level 4 is good for the "average" spicy seeker. Due to the food quality and great service I will definitely be returning. The owner reached out. I appreciate the follow up, we'll be back for sure, the food is too good to pass up. Ordered pickup this time around. I placed the order at 6:40 for pickup at 7:20-7:25. I received a text at 6:46 saying they confirmed the order then at 6:54 I received a text saying my order was ready for pickup. I called them 2 minutes after getting the ready for pickup text to see if maybe it was a mistake and they confirmed it was in fact READY for pickup 25-30 minutes early. I picked the time for a reason, I was not going to get there until the time I picked. I understand an accidental oversight, I'm a pretty chill person so that's whatever. The guy over the phone said sorry and that they would remake the food closer to the time I had picked for pickup. Honestly that's not what I would expect because that's wasteful. I'm not entirely sure if it was remade as I had to drive back home so the food wasn't piping hot when we got back and that's fine if it wasn't. My reason for removing 2 stars is actually due to the sodas that were apart of the order. I ordered a Sprite and Dr. Pepper both of which were sweating starting to make the cups flimsy and the ice had completely melted. With a 90 plus degree day I was really looking forward to a crisp, ice cold DP and instead was met with a watered down room temp DP. We don't keep soda in the house as I leave that for something I only get when we go out so that was truly the most disappointing part of it. Down to the actual people themselves they seem miserable with making the K-Burritos, it takes 14 minutes so I can see why they're so mad about it, aswell as the lack of effort put into making sure your customers are satisfied I knew I wasn't with my K-Burrito it was so hard to aswell they add more cream cheese, and guac in it then the meat itself. I so wanted to love this spot. I'm a huge fan of Korean food and think it works amazingly in the fast casual concept. Miso is another Oly business with this concept and they are amazing because of the meat offerings and essentially various banchan toppings with tasty sauces over rice. They have perfected the art of a Korean bowl. However, this place is new and I wanted to give it a try to support another local business. Sadly my favorite part of my meal was the high quality take out bowl and chopsticks. The meal itself reminded me of what I could expect at a church potluck of everything I smashed on my plate not thinking about how any of it goes together. It was not harmonious or balanced and the rice was super gummy. The romaine was crisp, the beef in different spots was ok, the curry on its own was ok. I imagined the noodles as japchae which it isn't because they didn't have flavor. It was just a confusing bowl of food. Their fridge has several Asian bottled drinks like milk tea with jelly that cost around $3. They charge a card processing fee with the order. It felt like a bunch of young men decided they were going to try to cook up their mom's recipes to sell to the masses for a business-which is a great idea. Unfortunately it was poorly executed during my visit. If they get an auntie to visit to help execute rice consistently and give them some other pointers it would help. I wanna give this a 2.5. I love the concept. And the food isn't terrible. But I think after a few months of opening and adjusting some things, this place has amazing potential. I want to start off with the service. They workers are super friendly and nice. However, I could tell they seemed a bit flustered. It's still a new restaurant so I totally understand. As far as the food goes, we ordered Gangnam bowl -fried chicken, bulgogi beef -mandoo (it was okay. Seemed like regular fried gyoza. Instead of serving with spicy Mayo, I think having gyoza sauce would work best instead) Bulgogi bowl Kids bowl -fried chicken I was under the impression it was actual Asian style fried chicken. It seemed like it was the Tyson bbq chicken nuggets. Spring roll Maybe doing a side of sweet chili sauce would be good. Burrito Super big. Came with spicy Mayo as well. It paired okay with it. I think having a Teriyaki style or unagi sauce on the side with this would have suited it better. For the bowls in general, I think it had too many bold flavors coming out at once. The rice with the curry, then the noodles, then the flavored meats, and salad with some dressing of some sort. It was too much going on. I think having the option of rice, noodles, or salad would be good. Or even a combo of rice and noodles as the base. The flavors were good, just too many at once. I liked the curry but i think that could be its own item as well. Also, changing up the fried chicken. I think Asian style chicken is the absolute best, so they should definitely do that and I think it'd be a hit!! And for the kids bowl, I think clarifying that the kids bowl comes with everything as well would be good. Since a lot of kids are quite picky and could possibly be turned off by the amounts of flavor happening as well. I think the rice and protein would have been fine. Maybe giving the option of the salad and noodles. Plus that may just be cheaper. All in all, I'd love to come back here in a few months to see if there had been any adjustments. read more

I'm absolutely stunned this place doesn't have 5/5 stars. We ordered for the first time last night and were completely blown away by the fresh, quality ingredients, super friendly staff, and low prices. I ordered the bulgogi bowl and my wife ordered the bulgogi salad. The flavors were incredible! The bowl consists of bulgogi on a bed of rice with curry, japchae noodles, and lettuce. It's topped with three different sauces so it's loaded with flavor. At $11 it is big enough for two meals. The salad was similar, but instead of curry and rice it was on a larger bed of lettuce and topped with K-Ranch (which I honestly want to buy by the bottle). It was also a large portion that we split into two meals. This place has some of the friendliest service in Oly and the food is outstanding, so it will definitely become a regular staple in our restaurant rotation. read more

While the portion sizes are generous, it didn't matter much as I couldn't get past a couple of bites. The beef was chewy and lacked flavor, the chicken wasn't cooked all the way and somehow chalky. The fried chicken my husband got was good, nice texture and flavor. I would recommend this for sure. The sauce was decent, nice flavor. The noodles were ok. The curry and rice were good, nice flavor. The spring rolls were mushy on the inside, but had a nice crisp outside. The potstickers were decent. I typically love bulgogi, however this was a first and last for me at Bulgogi Hustle. The bowl includes rice and sweet potato noodles as well as some salad mix and some curry sauce. It is finished off with the house ranch and sauces of varying spice level. The beef was bland and had little of the sweet/oniony soy flavor I would have expected. The pork was also horridly bland. The ranch was lost and the hot sauce was pretty bland too. The only part that had some flavor was the curry (vegans - it may contain chicken stock, so ask), but it wasn't enough to make up for all the misses. Bulgogi Hustle is a place I drive by every day on the way to work. You know what ? The name is cool, it's not boring or traditional and is full of energy and I love that. Recently we tried a couple of their bowls. My wife got the bulgogi bowl & I got the fried tofu with extra curry. Let me tell you, the flavors and textures are out of this world! Normally Curry dishes are swimming in the curry almost like a soup. BH's bowls are truly special. My wife enjoyed hers and mine was this knock out of the ball park a real spicy and savory little winner. We have a cool little town, that's needs some healing and a few splashes of unique color to become someplace as big as the big cities with the unique heart of a PNW town. My husband and I both ordered a salad. He ordered his with bulgogi, and I ordered marinated chicken. The meat was very tasty and everything mixed together was wonderful. It came with dressing on the side, but the guacamole added to the salad was great as a dressing since the portion was quite big. The dressing however tasted quite nice. I do wish the salad had a bit more greens added since it is a salad. It seems like there were more noodles than salad. Overall still really good, we would come back. read more

Having recently become a fan of bulgogi beef I was excited to try this new place in town. I was a little hesitant that the rice bowl came standard with yellow curry sauce as I'm not usually a curry fan. But decided to go ahead and try it as it comes. I was excited for the glass noodles as those are one of my favorites. The also offer a spice level from 1-5. I went with a 2 because Korean level of spice tends to be more intense, and I'm glad I did bc 2 was just enough to bring the heat but no so much it wasn't enjoyable. We also tried 2 of the 3 appetizer options: the crispy chicken was awesome, the sauce was delectable. The fried spring rolls were also very good, the come with a creamy slightly spicy sauce. The portions of the bowls are huge and the way they layer the food: bottom layer with delicious curry, then rice, noodles (packed with flavors), fresh crunchy lettuce, meat that was seasoned perfectly, and then your sauce on top! No need to stir up the flavors because it had so many- it felt like you were at a Korean buffet! It was like having 5 dishes in one bowl! Amazing and an explosion of precise flavors and spices! Service was quick & friendly, the food very unique for my taste & a bit salty, but I think I would try it again if I was in the area & in a rush.
