pleasantly surprised with the deliciousness of both of these orders, especially with the pasta. Very well-made and I would even argue that it was nearing the same tier as the pasta that I had in Italy with the sauce. if you want a filling meal of carbs, def get the malfredo because it is not overpowering with the spices in the sauce at all. waitress was quick, but would interrupt at the most inconvenient times. I feel like with refills, waiters and waitresses could just do that offjump if the cups are off to the side, but the waitress lacked social awareness :/ still nice and did her job, but again, context ? maybe I am being too harsh. I sowwy Anyway, I love that this restaurant has an option for you to eat inside or outside. Thank gosh for the tented shade because it was very bright outside , and also, it would protect you enough from the rain, if ever. Good food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Great place to bring friends. My Reuben Sandwich was delicious.

Kids meal options were average but a little expensive - but at least a side salad was an option. The service was prompt and kind. There was always a person available to get their attention if needed, and our waiter was great at checking on us intermittently. The lights above the booths were off so it was awkwardly dark in our table area, but we did like the restaurant decor and vibe. The cabbage soup had bits of shredded meat, which was a nice surprise. Delicious. The brussels and bacon flatbread had a heavy amount of cheese crumbles, a large quantity of perfectly crispy bacon, absolutely delicious cooked onions, and a small amount of brussel sprouts. It would have been nice to have a little more balsamic and brussel sprouts and a little less cheese crumbles. It would have been nice to have a similar quality of food to the main menu, with smaller portions, for the kids menu. Chicken strips, grilled cheese, etc was basic, but the kids did like their meals. Definitely will return to try other menu items, but a little at a time since it's a bit expensive. read more

Out and about checking out new places! This place says establish 2020. My assumption is they are in other locations other than here in Lacey, Washington. Well to start off I was looking for a small Mom & Pop place. I found one as see on Yelp! Lucky's, But upon pulling into the empty parking lot I determined they were either not that good or out of business. So, I drove just a mile down the road into a newer strip shopping center. The typical coffee place, IHOP were here, but crowded. Then I seen COOPER'S sitting in the back corner. Unsure if they were open as no sign was seen. I thought ok the chance as the parking lot was full. After parking I noted this was a family place too. I proceeded to walk in as was greeted promptly asking where I'd like to sit vs. being directed to a seat. I opted to since I was by myself to sit at the bar rail. The server/bartender was quick to get me a menu and Water and ask if I'd like coffee. I opted out for an Irish coffee! YUMMMY a needed the cooler wet morning. The menu did have several pages, but only one page with breakfast. I did make a special order which is biscuits and gravy, which came with two eggs and homemade potatoes I honestly think I made a very good selection. The biscuits were soft and fresh. The gravy was full of sausage, not over spiced with added seasoning, the eggs were done perfect the home potatoes were good, which included bell pepper, and sautéed onions. The atmosphere was very friendly here there decor very pleasing to see. It didn't take long to get my food, which was another added benefit. After receiving my food, other people were sitting down and ordering food their food as well came out in a very timely manner and large quantities. Overall, this place cannot be rated higher than a five which I would gladly do. I like the fact that it is family oriented, and the bar is separated. I would gladly come back here with friends and family. Maybe they'll open up one closer to where I live!! read more

Came in for lunch. Bartender and server "Josh", was nice and friendly. He welcomed us in with a smile. The food was really good. Pleased with the menu selection. I had a delicious NW Fish-sandwich with a nicely made Caesar salad as a side. The ambiance is spacious and clean. Plenty of booth and low level seating as well as high table bar stool seating. Nice side indoor/ outdoor patio with a fire pit to enjoy late evenings. Pleasantly surprised. We'll be back to try more menu items. read more

We've been here several times since it's so close to our house. The food is not good, their breakfast is okay but the servers are honestly awful. It feels like they are irritated that you're there. They don't check back and roll their eyes if you ask for anything including silverware.... I would rather drive to the ram where the food and servers are amazing. Huge disappointment. read more

Cierra was a bad server. I'm not trying to complain but she refilled everyone's waters around us multiple times, never ours. I am very polite to servers because I have been a server and I would NEVER treat my customers like this. We still tipped but only because the person I was with felt obligated too. Never treated her poorly and was kind to her. Ignored us all service besides drink, food, and check. Didn't ask if we wanted more drinks, didn't ask how the food was, didn't bring plates for our starters. But did all this for the table next to us. My mom assumed she was treating her this way because her weight. Beautiful restaurant to hangout though. The way she treated my mother and I tonight made me feel uneasy about coming here again though. It's too bad. read more

This place is a fun spot for us. We come here with our parents when we want to take them to a meal. The service is always friendly and pretty quick! The food is okay, we haven't tried the entire menu but my husband absolutely enjoys their pizzas and flat bread! My dad thinks the tater tots are the best in town. We will return again! read more

Great ambiance. Food and service were okay. Hubby and I went on a Friday date. We ordered Lemon Pepper Wings for appetizer, Marfredo Pasta and Cowboy Burger for mains. The chicken wings were tasty but a little bit dry. We liked the Marfredo sauce however there was too much sauce on the pasta that at one point it was almost soupy. Nothing special about the burger. This place is definitely decent. They have a good drink menu, and a pretty nice brunch/lunch menu. Their full menu has a lot of normal items you'd find at any other bar spot but they also have some different style pizzas! I always try a restaurants fried chicken sandwich because if they can make a good chicken sandwich, I swear it makes the place way better. The sandwich was so-so at best and was really dry. The service though was amazing! All of the waitresses and bartenders were wonderful, quick, helpful and kind. The place itself is super cool and the deck with the fire out and couches?? Yes please!! My husband and I used to go to the OG Tacoma location quite a bit but the location was out of the way for us so we hadn't been in a long time. We were so excited to see it was the same folks opening this spot in Lacey. We have been a couple of times and they have done a really good job especially for a brand new location/ soft open. The menu has a lot of options. Mac and cheese is not their forte sadly but they do great salads and wings and burgers and other things. The skillet cookie is fantastic (think like a certain chain but better). The servers were kind and its a nice big airy location. I like that the outside and indoor seating is all open (great for circulation these days with all the illnesses floating around ). Gotta watch out for mosquitoes but otherwise its a great set up for this time of year (and they will likely close the garage style doors to the patio once it gets too cold). read more

I had the Chicken Fried Steak with Country Sausage Gravy. Quite good. Very filling. The gravy was a bit bland but the coating on the steak had good flavor on its own. My husband had the lobster roll which looked more like sashimi or chopped up bay shrimp. Said he was rather disappointed with it. And it STUNK like a fish house. Cooper's just opened close to our home so we've been here twice this week. I'll come back and update this review once we've tried everything on the menu with our favorites, because yes, we'll be here that often if they'll have us. First and most important to me - this place is CLEAN. Yes, it is new, but the staff are constantly walking around wiping down surfaces. We've also been to the Tacoma location and it was the same, although it's been there much longer. Clean bathroom gang - you're in major luck, feminine products and a bouquet of fresh flowers to boot. Second - staff are absolutely lovely, both in Lacey and Tacoma. Very friendly and attentive to customer needs. We have really enjoyed meeting them and chatting. They make this place feel like home. Third, and most important to you - they have some great food items. The absolute FRIED CHICKEN! The house seasoning is delicious. Fish and chips? Fantastic. Cooper's (French) dip? That smoked Gouda SHINES with the jus. Best fried pickles anywhere. And let me just say, I'm coming to Cooper's every time for the French onion soup before I go to the trouble of busting out veal stock and caramelizing onions for an hour, because theirs is better than mine, and I'm the soup chef of the extended family. Fourth - huge liquor selection and COLD, CLEAN TAPS. For beer drinkers, you can expect quality, well-served regional selections on tap. It will be fizzy, it will be fresh, and it will be chilly. One of the coldest C minuses I've had in a while (Coug gang IFYKYK). This Lacey location allows dogs on the patio, and my dog loves it here. There is a cozy fire pit, comfy couches, heaters and enclosed spaces so it is not cold at all. You are basically inside but you and your dog are having French fries together. We ordered a birthday dinner delivery from these guys through Instacart. Most items were fine, good even, like the fries were good, burger was good, onion rings were good. However, we got a fishwich that was spectacularly underfilled and weird. It was an enormous bun with mayo and sliced pickle and one piece of fried fish that did not even half cover or fill the bun. Ridiculous. Instacart refused to refund any of the $22 cost because they say that portion sizes are up to the restaurant and so it was not their fault. I will not order dinner from this restaurant again and, even if their burgers aren't bad. We did order their taquitos which were supposed to come with guacamole, but it did not, Just the sour cream and a spoonful of their pico de gallo, that was spooned into the bottom of the box and had to be scraped together to get any. (Otherwise the taquitos were delicious.) Not a trustworthy place, in any case. You kind of throw the dice when ordering through Instacart for home delivery, but there was no support from them for the customer and no way to reach them for complaint, hence this review. read more

We've ordered food from here once and eaten in restaurant once. Both times, the food was substantial and delicious. Big portions, beautiful presentation, flavorful, yummy food. We had Joshua as our server, and he was hands down the best waiter we've ever had. All three of us in our party walked away feeling so impressed with him and so grateful for his exceptional service. He was very friendly and very empathetic and very good at what he did. My grandmother uses a walker, and he pulled out her chair and gave her his hand to help her get seated. He then stored her walker by his station, and remembered to bring it right back when we were preparing to leave. He knew the beers they had by heart, including rotating beers, and was able to make recommendations when I asked for a dark beer or cider. They didn't have a dedicated pup patty on the menu, but he communicated that clearly, made clear that they would do what they could to get us what we wanted, listened to what we wanted, said they could make us two hamburger patties on the side for our two dogs, made clear what it would cost, and made it happen. He listened attentively while we ordered and clearly communicated when the order was electronically sent to the kitchen. When my Grandma's salad arrived without the bleu cheese dressing she requested, he empathized, apologized, and rectified the situation immediately. Great place to go. One of the highlights of the Hawks Prairie area, for sure. If you haven't been there yet, be sure to check it out. I can recommend the Black and Bleu Burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. read more

I've given Cooper's in Lacey a few chances, but unfortunately it's been very inconsistent and mostly disappointing. The first time I came in, I ordered the classic burger and it was honestly pretty bad--the patty was about half the size of the bun, which made it feel like I was mostly eating bread. The second visit, I ordered the same thing hoping it was just an off day, but again the burger tasted completely unseasoned. Today (our third visit), my husband and I both ordered the Cowboy Burger, and it was the most disappointing experience yet. Both burgers were dry and completely lacking seasoning, while somehow the buns were soggy at the same time. The onion rings on top were also soggy, which just made the whole thing worse. Service was a bit mixed. Our waitress was polite, but we sat for about 10-15 minutes before being greeted. She checked on us right after the food came out (before we even had a chance to try it), and when she came back later to clear plates, she asked if I wanted a to-go box since I barely touched my food. When I said no, she rolled her eyes and walked away, which didn't sit right. Our server was sooooo slow--after taking our order, they disappeared for a long time, and it felt like we were forgotten. The kids' mac n cheese came out first and honestly looked like it was microwaved leftovers. I didn't even know it was possible to mess up Kraft Mac n Cheese, but somehow it was dry and burnt (photo attached). For three adults and two kids, our bill came to $120 with tip. For that price, we expected at least decent quality, but here's what we got: * Cobb salad * Cheeseburger * Fishwich sandwich (with soggy onion rings) * Chicken fried sandwich * Caesar salad * Pickle spears * 3 waters, 1 Sprite, and 1 kids apple juice The food overall was mediocre at best, and the noise level made it hard to even hold a conversation. Absolutely sick of this place. We've tried to give them multiple chances because they're new to area and one of the few places open late. But they have the worst customer service and can't seem to get a single order correct. Whether it's in person, order for pick up or door dash. They ALWAYS forget something and then when you say something they catch a huge attitude as if they're not wrong. And do not care, they'll argue with you, and not do anything to reimburse you or make it right. My kids wanted to order a dessert yesterday so I figured I'd give them one last try, how hard could it be to mess up a dessert right? Got here just after 4:30pm on a Friday and was seated promptly in the bar area. I was waiting for a friend but wanted to order off the happy hour menu since it ends at 5pm. The waitress came over and introduced herself and I told her I needed a quick minute to glance at the drink menu. The server didn't come back until 4:49pm I ordered the happy hour Mai tai and that was all for HH because after that, the server didn't come back until almost 5:30pm. I was bummed I didn't get a chance to order food or another drink off happy hour. We placed our entree order and drink order and once it came out, our server was non-existent. My friend got the cooperita and hated it. She didn't take more than a sip and the server never inquired about it. Only refilled water once. They were busy but we watched her tend to other tables, chatting with what we assumed to be "the regulars". The lobster bisque was really good! I loved it. The bolognese was sad. I didn't think to take a picture of it but it seriously lacked sauce. It was bland, overcooked noodles with minimal sauce and a disgusting amount of fennel seeds. The best part was the bread. The wings and salad were good. The pizza was really good! We got the pepperoni and onion one and loved it. Both of us weren't a fan of their drinks. They're unique but not in a good way. The flavors stray wayyyyy too far from original recipes. The Mai Tai was in no way a Mai tai and the cooperita was sooooo far from even being close to a margarita. The food was ok, but it didn't really stand out. It's your typical bar food, nothing more. On another note, our service was friendly, but the server never asked us if we wanted a refill for our soft drinks. The basic universal rule for great service is to keep drinks topped off, which didn't happen. I'd be a little bit forgiving if it was busy, but it wasn't. Had the fish and chips for which the fish was somewhat over cooked. We also had the French dip sandwich. Very little flavoring could have used more sauce in it. I'm not sure HOW this place has more than 2 stars!!! We were seated at a booth by windows. It wasn't a particularly hot day. There were no less than 15 gnats and 5 flies gathered there which seemed to multiply when our food arrived. They were swarming us. When I looked around the restaurant you could see at least 10-15 flies buzzing around. We then ordered our food. The staff must not be trained well (super nice... just not trained.) Had to ask for silverware several times after appetizers arrived. Plates were soaking wet. Food was subpar at best but honestly I didn't even want to eat anything after the flies and wet plates. read more
