An ice cream stand, deli, and gas station. Yep - one stop shopping! I can only speak for the deli and it was fantastic! I got a small Italian sub with lettuce, onion, sweet peppers, hot peppers, and mayo. We ate there at a few random tables in between the ice cream stand and the deli/gas station interior. The meats were sliced fairly thick and were of good quality. It was only $6! Also got a side of macaroni salad, which wasn't the greatest. If you are on the way to or from the beach, you should stop in for a yummy sammy! read more

When we moved here 17yrs ago it would had been 5 stars. Now, quality is down and prices are up. For 1 sub and 2 small soups I just paid $33.00 way too high on their prices. read more

We stopped on our way back from Ocean City to Cleveland. We read the reviews and were excited and worried (some negative reviews). Well I am very happy we stopped! My husband had the large cheesesteak and I had the small Italian with a side of potato salad. Both were fresh and amazing! Bread was soft and fresh, meat was sliced for our sandwiches, lettuce and tomato were also just cut. Honestly never would of thought a sandwich from a gas station would be so great!!! read more

If you'd ask me 5-10 yrs ago about Bullocks my response would be different, but over the past couple years the food has gotten continually worse and my order seems to be wrong every single time. It's a shame because I've lived here 16 yrs and this place was a staple, but people just don't seem to care anymore. This isn't brain surgery ya know....read the order, make the order, RECHECK the order before it goes out. Also, I'm not sure if they've changed recipes/cooks or what, but there's little to no flavor/seasonings on certain things. Bullock's Deli is a true treasure. It's been around for 44 years, is family run, and the food was amazing. We had Italian subs and the club sandwich and were blown away by how delicious everything was. The ice cream was great too. The inside has nice seating with 50s style booths and tables. Went there looking for lunch and it had decent reviews. Walking in is this confusing setup looking like a gas station trying to be a restaurant. There is a menu on the wall behind the cashier station and some barking unpleasant people instructing you how this idiot concept is supposed to work. Apparently the owner doesn't trust anyone, therefore you must pay in advance for anything you might want to eat. The menu was pretty bad so I thought some pancakes and sausage might be safe. My reasoning being that I was hungry and this place was in disarray and dirty. Boy did I misjudge it, not only sitting down realizing how dirty it was but a squadron of resident flies seemed to land on everything without impunity. Pancakes arrived with a big gob of very salty oleo spread and a small amount of cheap syrup.Sausage was strange looking one piece with a resemblance of something Looking like one of my dogs might make. McDonalds would be a 1000 times better and safer. I took a couple of bites and the girl who delivered my food came over to check in. I said I would like a cup of coffee an she said just go and get it, not wanting to be bothered.Coffee was watery and accompanied by powered creamer. For the area this is one of only two places I stop for a good sub. They make the bread fresh and do not skip on the meat. If you have a small belly go for the small as the portions are very large. Skip all the chain-crap fast food places down the street and go here. If they don't have it, you don't need it. Beyond the food being really good at a very reasonable price, the atmosphere is where it's at. All within one store, you have a food counter, an ice-cream counter, a Keno/lotto/hunting license counter; with a very decent beer selection to boot. Stopped here on the way back from the beach and have to say it is the best place I have had the pleasure of stopping in my 20+ years traveling between DC and the Eastern shore. I had a Turkey sub and the bread (pillowy soft) and turkey were fresh and excellent. I also had the fries (steak fries) and they were hot, crispy, and fresh off the fryer. This place is worth the visit. We were traveling to the DE beaches and stopped on the way for food. It was so good we made a special trip on the homeward trip as well.
