My family has been with Bulwark Exterminating since 2006. We live in Bulverde, and the day after we moved in, I found spiders in every drawer I opened, and my then 2-year-old was laying on the floor watching a line of ants march by across the kitchen floor. From that moment on, I told my husband that no matter how tight our budget, we would always have an exterminator! I called Bulwark, they came right out, and they have been an absolute joy to work with ever since. We are loyal to them for so many reasons: Their prices are very reasonable, and when we hit a pay slump during past recessions, they were able to find a way for us to keep it within our budget. All of our techs have been absolutely professional and excellent. They stand by their word to come back as many times as we need for retreatments between regularly scheduled services, but we hardly ever need it because they do such a great job each time they come out. Their customer service is so personal and responsive, both when you call in and when you use their handy app. But my favorite is always the people. Today was an excellent example. Yesterday, my older son, that two-year-old who watched ants march in formation across our kitchen floor, graduated from Air Force basic military training and headed off to tech school. My heart is a bit sore from having to say goodbye, and my tears aren't far from surfacing. I don't even know how the subject came up, but our tech, Jessie, shared with me that he is also a military parent. He gave me a few moments of such grace, hope, and peace. He didn't have to do that. He could have hurried on to his next stop. But he took a moment, he showed his humility, and he reassured me that I'm not just protected from all of the creepy crawlies that try to invade our home, but that I have the fellowship of a kind person who cares about our family. I had a really bad spider & even worse ant problem! I looked around and found Bulwark! I loved that they were family owned & a local company!! Everyone was so nice and I wish I remembered the lady's name who called to confirm my appointment because I swear she was wonderful!! She made me laugh so hard too and let me say I really needed that! I was just having a day and the fact that she took a moment to share some laughs it was beyond appreciated!! Seriously, I needed that so bad! Okay back to the extermination. Kyle, my tech was awesome! Super friendly and very professional! Explained everything perfectly but everyone at Bulwark was so great in explaining everything! They use hospital grade/ friendly indoor spray so me and my dog wouldn't get sick!! Kyle was very awesome in covering every area inside and out of my house! I'm so happy with their service! Plus they offer to spilt the payment for my service to every month instead of the lump sum getting service on every two! That definitely helps!! This was our first experience with Bulwark Pest Control as a potential client. We had found numerous pest control companies during our research, but felt Bulwark was a large enough franchise to have quality control and training, yet small enough to create a local relationship with staff. So we thought we would try a one-time application from Bulwark. Initially we talked with Nate McOmber at Bulwark to explain our needs. We really liked the professionalism displayed by Bulwark's technician Josh Lujan. He asked us about our pest control needs and explained the process he was going to use. Although this approach was a little different from what Nate McOmber had described on the phone we understood what Josh was going to do for us. Josh was efficient and thorough in his pesticide application and provided some additional measures as part of the application. Michael Garcia visited my home 10/10 & did an awesome job! He was 1 of 3 exterminators that have come overtime &we will be asking for him every time we call to schedule. Not only did he do a good job spraying both exterior and the interior of our home , but he gave alot of knowledge. While talking to Mike, my husband mentioned we needed to buy more mice/scorpion traps for the corners of the garage.. Mike went to the truck, grabbed some out, laid them in the corners, & informed us that all we have to do is ask and they will bring some over &if we find anything on them to call back and they will come back out and spray before our third month payment was due. We enjoyed his conversation. He didn't just come to spray and go about his day, he informed us how the scorpion 25(I think was the name) worked on the insects, and the different options and prices we could choose from for different services we may need. Figuring out who to use as a pest control company can contain a mine field of options. We chose Bulwark due to their excellent customer ratings and A+ Better Business Bureau ratings. They have a no hassle comeback policy if you find bugs after they leave they will come right back and a great set of bundled service options. I thought that was the best part until I met Robert Garcia, what a kind professional. Robert spent a good amount of time on our property and thoroughly explained what he was doing each step and why. He also explained Bulwark's come back guarantee and scheduled an included come back call in two weeks to ensure we won't have any problems. If I can I'll personally request that Robert comes back for our follow on visits. Finally, Jason in new customer accounts did a great job explaining the billing and bundle programs. I want to give a huge shoutout to Jake Johnson--my go-to pest guy and a true professional. I recently had a serious infestation of bee hives all around my house. Jake came out and handled the situation with incredible skill and calm. The bees tried multiple times to sting him, but he never flinched. He removed every hive and made sure my home was safe again. I'm giving my rep Jose Wong 5 stars. I'm giving Bulwark Call Center 0 stars. If it wasn't for Jose I would not be a Bulwark customer. I don't need the call center telling ME when they are going to be there. I'm the customer. You call me and tell me I'm due then I'll call YOU and tell you when it's convenient. I'M THE CUSTOMER!! I had to have Jose come back a year or so ago because we needed a respray. Two weeks later the call center is hounding me to come back out for my regular spraying. I said "Jose was here two weeks ago." Their response "Yes but you're due your regular spray". It was TWO WEEKS! I have 2 dogs and 2 birds and they are ready to overspray because the calendar says I'm due. It's gotten so bad that I will only deal with Jose. He calls me and asks when I want service. We set a time and guess what? He's there. When Jose goes somewhere else, we'll find someone else to spray. read more

Repeat customer! I recently moved to San Antonio and signed back up with Bulwark, because 'you get what you pay for'. I feel like I have been treated like a VIP I Have been with Bulwark for about 16 years, and decided I should leave a review. I am overly impressed by there communication telling you the day before they will be at your home, as well as arriving on time and ringing my door bell announcing they are there, and asking if any special areas need addressed. They also know I am allergic to bees and wasp so they pay special attention looking for nest. Then they leave you with a report of what was treated for and what chemical was used. I have had three callbacks over the years and one was addressed with in one hour, now that is service! We have a regular service with Bulwark and we are really happy. Our house is a year old and there is a lot of new building happening around us so we have had to call a few times between service but we have always been accommodated really quickly. we recently had an ant problem on the first floor of our house and Charlie sorted it within a day. He identified where the ants were coming from and sprayed inside and outside really well and we haven't seen any since! even though it wasn't our regular service date, Charlie also went and checked the front and back yard and sprayed any areas he found signs of ants and spiders. he also took down a wasps nest we had no idea was on our fence. Robert is very knowledgeable about his business and always takes the time to explain what he is doing as well as ask if I have any questions or concerns. Robert is professional, courteous and friendly. He is very respectful of our home and yard - always wears shoe covers when in the house and carefully sprays in the house. He takes great pride in making sure all work is done thoroughly. He verifies before he leaves that I am satisfied with his work as well as the service provided. I called this morning to have an extra indoor service, because we had seen two small roaches in our upstairs bathroom. I was put on the schedule for the same day! Justin Berlanga was amazing!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he was actually able to locate the spot where they were coming in from. He gave my home a good spray inside, and then gave the outside a good spray as well for good measure. He took it upon himself to add more bait to our bait box without me even having to ask him, and he removed all the cobwebs he encountered while he was spraying the exterior, which I really appreciated. This morning we had the pleasure of meeting Chris, the tech who was going to treat our home today. This is our first time using Bulwark as our exterminating resource. Chris was very cordial and after his introduction, explained what his mission was according to the Service agreement. I explained some the concerns from previous pest encounters and what we were most concerned about for this visit, and he assured me that a snake deterrent would be placed in areas where would best deter snakes. Chris was very thorough and did what he explained he was going to do and answered all our questions in a satisfactory manner. Extremely disappointed with this pest control company. After their treatment, I found multiple scorpions inside my home within just a few days. When I contacted them to request a re-treatment -- which is clearly included in our contract -- they completely ignored my messages and never responded. This is not only unprofessional, it's unacceptable, especially when dealing with something as serious as scorpions inside a home. I paid for a service that was supposed to protect my house, and instead I'm left dealing with the same dangerous problem on my own. Lack of effectiveness + zero customer support = a complete waste of money. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

Jacob G came yesterday, Sept 15th, and did a great job. He was on time and told me what he was going to do. I opened my garage where he put 4 sticky traps and he cleared the old ones away. They had critters on them. My wife doesn't like looking at them. He also sprayed in there too. This was the third or fourth time we have had Jacob service our house. He is one of the best. I want him back! We have a big lot and Jacob assures every area gets the chemical needed to prevent those nasty bugs from surviving the journey to our doors. We have had Bulwark for years. Highly recommend Bulwark. I only just met Kenneth Williams, our pest removal aficionado, but I can already tell he's gona be a household name in the bug community. They will fear him for generations. I'm a fireman, and was very impressed with the way Kevin stretched the hose around the side of our house. He was in and out but did a thorough job. Additionally, I was grilling some spectacular Asian chili chicken out back during his visit. Not once did Kenneth try to reach in and sneak himself a breast. We have used Bulwark for regular treatment around our new construction home for the past six years. Service is always thorough and professional. Randy is our most recent technician and was outstanding! We were notified the day before and were given a 3-hour window for our service. Randy was prompt, introduced himself upon arrival, asked about any specific needs for treatment. He checked in again before he departed to make sure our concerns were addressed and to answer any questions. We are on 2.4 acres of rocky terrain on the side of a hill, and we have not seen any scorpions or centipedes inside for more than two years! We love working with Bulwark! read more
