I should have the option to bypass entering my pin for my cc. I don't mind signing my name. I couldn't remember my pin so I couldn't order anything??? What if I had called in my order and had it delivered. I don't enter my pin then. I shop there not THAT rarely that they can't trust me. I am an honest person (that even called them when they gave me two of something by mistake) and they will only sell it to me if I can put in my pin number??? Then I get to work and they forgoet the salt and pepper in the eggs. Bleh! read more

This place is as clean as a whistle and the staff is friendly and efficient. As a vegan, I was hoping to get some tofu cream cheese for my bagels. Isaac said they did not carry it due to slow sales, but he did recommend an avocado spread with onions and a hint of lemon. It was amazing on an everything bagel. I work across the street so come here often. Food delicious, fresh and hot. All food good but the blackened tuna salad was amazing. Wish I could duplicate. Almost like thin slices of steak but lighter with a smooth and smoky taste. The people at the register are so patient. Orders always correct, even when restaurant is full as it usually is. Excellent bagels. I started eating here a few years ago when some Jewish colleagues of mine at the hospital where I work suggested it. Their food is amazing- great whitefish salad, egg salad, cookies, cakes. They have this awesome fried egg roll filled with cheese. And some kind of amazing red sauce. It's like crack. This place has tasty bagels but they are really tiny. Basically all the portions are small. I do not recommend the pastries because they are sub-par ( I think they purchase them from a different bakery). Service is generally slow ( even in the mornings when people need to get to work). Sometimes they get your order wrong so check your bag if you order to go. I have seen the owner act rudely toward his employees more than a couple times and it was upsetting. Cleanliness is okay but more often than not you will need to ask to have your table wiped down from a previous customer who left it dirty. I recommend taking your food to go because the place is very cramped and small. read more

The food is good and reasonably priced. The reason I'm giving such a low rating is due to the obnoxious nature of the service there. I'm sorry for being so harsh but it's true. With a few notable exceptions, the people who work behind the counter always seem rushed, in a bad mood and they often let that out on the customers (I've seen it too many times, I'm not talking about isolated incidents).. I know this is New York and you're a busy establishment, but seriously, do you have to act like you are doing us a favor by being there, rather than the other way around?! Simply put, delightful. Everything is made in-house: the amazing bagels, the lox, even the bags have the name of the store on it. Despite being packed, always; they still remain friendly and efficient, which is why so many people frequent this bagel shop. One suggestion. I've eaten here many times over the past few years and I must say that, overall, my experiences here have been pretty good. Needless to say, the owner, Berry, is a very hard worker and tries to put forth a quality product. Kudos to him. However, that having been said........... I went there yesterday to order and pick up a VERY simple order to take out. It was a Sunday morning, so I just assumed it would be crowded inside. Therefore, when I pulled up, I parked and sat in the car and dialed their number to put in my order. I expected to wait on the phone a little while because of the anticipated crowd inside and I was prepared for that. My phone call was answered and I was put on hold. 11 full minutes passed, so I decided to go in and take my chances with the long line there. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and found only a few people eating and the "LINE" for orders was completely EMPTY!! I was a bit too early for the crowds, but perhaps not too early for the one answering the phone to be playing on it and completely ignoring everything else. I briefly told this to the one serving me, but I also told her that it didn't matter because she, of course, wasn't the one who had caused this. So I ordered. A VERY SIMPLE ORDER! A basic order of pancakes and the breakfast special. It comes with 2 eggs any style, home fries, and Israeli salad. I asked for NO SALAD, NO PEPPER, and perhaps a few more potatoes, if possible. It looked like she wrote all of this down. That was the entire order. And then........... I waited......... And waited....... and waited....... and waited. Actually, patiently. And then, after about a half hour, I walked back to the counter and asked the person who had taken my order, where was it (since many others had gotten theirs and either sat down and ate or left)? She looked around and said she didn't know. After checking around for a while, she picked up a bag that had been sitting behind her for quite some time and brought that over. Then, she went in the back and I heard a little noise back there and then she came back with an aluminum pan that held my wife's pancakes in them. I imagined that, they too, had been sitting in the back for quite some time. She handed them to me and I said thank you and left. I got home (2 minutes away) and opened the bags to find that everything was already cold. Also, my "breakfast special" resembled much more a "breakfast cholent", everything mixed together with eggs, potatoes, and Israeli salad being the cold mixture of choice. That's right. With the Israeli salad that I didn't want and had made clear. And also, there was PEPPER on everything. Now, one could say it wasn't a lot of money, approx. $16.00 total. BUT, this is something that I paid for, expected to pretty much get it the way I asked, and definitely without having to wait on the phone for over 10 minutes on hold when almost nobody was there and then another half hour because someone couldn't keep track of an order, not to mention the VERY POOR CONDITION that the food was in when we finally got it i.e. cold, some sort of bad joke of a cholent, and spices that made it all uneatable. I wish Berry and ESPECIALLY his staff at Bunch O Bagels much more success in the future. read more

This place blows. I go there all the time and when ever I don't have cash they always make an issue if I want to use a credit card there like go borrow from someone are you kidding me . The bill was like 8 and the minimum is 10 that's just retarded. I can understand if your purchasing a bottle of water fine use cash but not for 8 bucks and someone who comes all the time. Great food but TERRIBLE management former employee of bunch O bagels the management is horrible and they only used there employees holidays we never got overtime pay or any gifts all of them employees celebrate Christmas and have to work that day. I worked for them for 4 years had a baby and January and they wouldn't take me back i was never told that i was fired or anything they kept saying buisness is slow but every time i got to buy food its a new cashier there literally every time i would stop what i was doing whenever they called me 9 months pregnant i caught the flu running to take deliveries to customers so they wouldnt have to wait in the cold! I gave them literally blood sweat and tears and this is how i get repaid ! But great food just wish the owners were better people . read more

Just came in to this bagel store today was amazed. I came up to the counter puzzeled by the enormus selection , and a friendly voice says dont worry i can help. This guy not only explained the whole menu to me but even recommended the mexican pizza with smoked jalepeno peppers ; some how he knew that was my favorite.
