We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. We are so grateful to know Margie and would highly recommend that others make the same choice if they are looking for a kind, gentle, trustworthy, skilled, and dedicated provider who truly cares.

My first birth was at a hospital and after doing thorough research, I realized that I deserved better than the care that I had received and knew that I needed a different experience. For my second birth I gave birth at Allen Birthing Center which was fantastic! This third time around, I decided to do several interviews of midwives in the area. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. Ladies, please don't be fearful! Our bodies were created for this. Should a hospital transfer be desired or necessary, there is always a plan B and C for those scenarios. If you are having trouble getting your husband on board, I highly recommend having him watch "The Business of Being Born." Midwifery care is actually MUCH cheaper than standard prenatal care and hospital birth. If you choose Margie to help fulfill your prenatal, postnatal and childbirth needs, you cannot go wrong! Highly recommend!!!

So many options when it comes to midwives. I'm so thankful that my friend recommended Becky, at Dallas Birth. Becky offered customized care, consistent support, and was always professional while maintaining the perfect level of relatability and tenderness. I felt safe with Becky; her level of expertise was always reassuring. Becky helped me to have the birth I wanted; a birth where I was in control, supported, and adequately monitored to ensure that baby and I were healthy and progressing in the right direction. My pregnancy with my first was an overall good experience-but left me feeling a bit like a number and not a person. This pregnancy, I had so much more energy and felt much less anxious-and I owe it all to Becky's support and encouragement. "Normal" pregnancy symptoms weren't over looked and she had recommendations and cared to help me navigate every step. The way she listened and educated was really empowering and healing in and of itself. We had hour (or longer) visits and access to talk with Becky between visits in an online portal-which gave no time for concerns to fester. The way she cared for me (and my 2 year old) at each visit really surpassed expectations and I always left motivated and excited for the next visit. Being truly cared for in a medical setting is not common. All of this resulted in the easiest and quickest labor which was a huge answered prayer. She is intentional, very knowledgeable, and hilarious. Every pregnant mama needs a Becky! We were a little nervous about the cost initially-but the value and services included make Dallas Birth really a great value. So many things were included that we paid out of pocket for our first-lactation services, placenta encapsulation, birth tub, birth classes, pregnancy teas, and probably a lot more that I'm not thinking of or didn't need. And we can submit a claim to insurance after to get reimbursed. I also loved that I didn't have to research different services-Becky takes care of everything.

We both interviewed a few midwife practices in the DFW area, and we felt comfortable with Cori right away. She had the perfect balance between being personable and professional at the same time. I felt safe with asking her questions without being judged. She always asked what questions we would have multiple times throughout our appointments with her. She also never rushed us during appointments, and really took her time and gave us the full appointment to her undivided attention. She explains everything very well, using different resources. Cori is extremely respectful of different cultural practices, she even asks about any a couple would like to practice during the pregnancy and birth so she can be aware and accommodate. She also has a great community of Doulas, other midwives, doctors, chiropractors and pelvic floor therapists she is connected to. When the day finally came, Cori was extremely calm. Her voice and tone was calming, moved in the room without excessive noise (which was very helpful, during the last stages of labor) and she was completely prepared. I loved her availability through text messages anytime i forgot to ask her something, and this was especially helpful during labor, for both my husband and doula. Highly recommend having Cori part of anyone's pregnancy and birth journey, she'll definitely be part of our second pregnancy!

I got a pretty bad case of COVID and then developed a rare condition called Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), but Jeannine was there for me every step of the way. I gave birth to my first daughter in a hospital, but I didn't have the best experience. I wanted something different the next time around. Delivering my second daughter in the birth center was so much better than my hospital birth. I felt encouraged and empowered. Plus, the recovery was much easier. This journey involved learning all about birthing centers, different types of midwives, different requirements/restrictions with each scenario, etc etc. We visited various birthing centers in Dallas and the surrounding areas but ultimately, and to our great satisfaction and appreciation... we were connected to Sweet Pea Midwifery and Olivia Delavega. We felt a huge sense of relief, because for my wife and I, having our baby in the comfort, energy, ambiance and convenience of our home checked all the boxes... Olivia, her team and her network were wonderful. Our experience with Olivia, Tabby and Iana (our Doula; within Olivia/Tabby's Network) was incredible. Well organized, cohesive, logical pregnancy plan coupled with a very informative and great emotional support structure from Iana. At no time did we feel pressured to do anything. Free will and free choice should be pervasive throughout our lives, but more and more it feels like some of those freedoms are slipping away. That wasn't the case with Sweet Pea Midwifery. We chose to have a 100% natural, zero pain intervention birth at home. Old School style... like they did for 1000's of years. At each step and with each choice we discussed the pros, the cons, the risks of each with Olivia and Tabby, asking countless questions, and in the end we chose the path that made the most sense for us and felt fully supported by the whole team. If we have another child, we will absolutely return to Sweet Pea Midwifery. I just can't say enough good things... this review would go on and on. Thank you so much Olivia!!!

I always waited for other providers to tell me it was okay to start pushing, but with Olivia, I was confident and comfortable enough to let me body do the work and rest in that. Even when she gave me advice, they were more helpful suggestions than commands that I felt in previous births. I so appreciated her aid and reassuring presence. Postpartum care was also phenomenal and our whole family felt very loved and cared for. Olivia and Tabby have become friends and if we were to have any more babies, I would love to be in their care again.
